Xia Yao's expression turned grey as he urgently picked up his belongings and left.
"What exactly happened?" Xia Yao asked Zhang Tian.
Zhang Tian pointed at the computer screen. "Have a look yourself, it's all in here."
Xia Yao hurriedly replaced Zhang Tian's seat to look at the information on the screen. The more he read, the gloomier his expression became. Basically, it was talking about a previously trained bodyguard at Yuan Zong's company who collected debt illegally and attained commission for each successful endeavor. Furthermore, this guy even used explosives in order to collect debt and injured many civilians in the process, resulting in many devastating consequences.
"It can't be!"
In his heart, Xia Yao knew it better than anyone else, from the day he joined the company, all the trainers had never ceased to emphasize about this: never ever accept illegal contracts. No matter how much they are willing to offer, never put down your signature.

Xia Yao immediately left for Yuan Zong's office the moment he got off work.
"Why did nobody inform me about this?!"
Even though he was standing outside, Xia Yao was still deeply shaken by Yuan Zong's growl from inside as he confronted all the trainers. Only Shi Tian Biao spoke up.
"He ordered us to not speak a word about this to you. He wanted you to have a happy new year."
"Do you answer to him or answer to me?!"
"Who? Who do you listen to?!"
"BAM". Something crashed inside.
Yuan Zong's questioning voice echoed once more, raising fear in the hearts of the trainers there, "So when you're in an emergency and in need of a leader, you all ask him to come to your rescue? Don't you understand the sensitivity of his stature? He is still young, he can't comprehend the seriousness of the situation, but by god are you all a bunch of airheads?!"
Xia Yao has never seen Yuan Zong so angry, so whatever courage he had summoned to come to Shi Tian Biao's aid had dissolved, all because he was engulfed in fear himself and didn't want to risk walking in that room.
The office fell into deadly silence, people began leaving. After a while, Shi Tian Biao walked out.

Luckily, Shi Tian Biao isn't one to take it to heart. He merely pouted at Xia Yao on his way out, indicating that Yuan Zong was furious and signaled for Xia Yao to be careful with his words so that at least, they didn't endure boss's scowl for nothing.
Xia Yao took a long moment outside before summoning enough courage to enter.
Yuan Zong was sitting on his boss chair in a leaned back position, his eyes lightly shut, a contained angry expression etched on his face. He didn't even open his eyes as familiar footsteps edged closer.
He merely lightly asked, "Here to eat dinner?"
Yuan Zong's comforting voice eased some tension off Xia Yao's shoulders, but the next words instantly made him tense up again.
"I know the death fight that happened at the hot springs."
Xia Yao shivered, his expression freezing over.
Yuan Zong slowly lifted his eyes, silently watched Xia Yao. His face was a mixture of happiness, solemness, and gentleness.
"Thank you."
All the distress, annoyance, and embarrassment left Yuan Zong slowly. All that was left was pure gratitude expressed towards Xia Yao. It was Yuan Zong's most simple and sincere feelings for this man, his deep care.
Xia Yao had initially thought that Yuan Zong Would scowl him, that this man in front of him would say something like: "I don't want you to do that", "You should never have lied to me". Yuan Zong could have said that because he, a true man, had to rely on Xia Yao's help. However, he chose to express these words of gratitude, making Xia Yao even more breathless.
Xia Yao tried to offer words of comfort.
"I have already taken a look at the news today, for sure there were many suspicious details. Their plan was full of holes so any clear-sighted people can spot them out easily. Also, it was lucky that the event was only published on the web and hadn't reached any mainstream media. I have already called up the authorities to investigate and remove such atrocities from the Internet to reduce ."
"I've gone to the police station today, the head of criminal department has reassured me that they will get to the bottom of this. The moment they can find credible proof, they will make the reporter who wrote this news apologize and giving you and your company back your honor."

When they fought each other that day, this person barely made an impression on Xia Yao. But now that the sky is dark, he noticed that this person's eyes were as bright as a cat's, their lights were deep and bright, instantly striking fear in the heart of its prey.
"Should I call you Xia Gongzi (master Xia)? Or should I call you Yuan Zong's little wife?"
Xia Yao's eyes narrowed, the plier in his hand suddenly flung in Hei Zi's direction. Hei Zi quickly ducked, letting the plier fly right past his face and into the wall behind, shattering the bricks into pieces and creating a big hole.
