HMMMMM

I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE TOUR MY GOD.

Enjoy~

Dan's POV

After a while of fake sleep, I felt her finally relax in my grip and soft breathing come from her parted lips. I could see crinkled in her nose, as she was stressed and upset. I sat up on my elbow, brushing her hair out of her face and kissing her temple.  This was the closest I've been to her in such a long time, just holding her. But I could feel how much she hated me right now. What did I expect? She had a right to be angry.

What would happen when she woke up? Would she leave like she threatened? Would she stay and make up? If she left I'd never see her again, no matter if I tired to get her back. She had flown to America, that's what she's capable of doing. If she stayed we could try to be friends because she thinks we're a dysfunctional couple. If we began dating again, there was the possibility we'd run into problems again. Maybe we are dysfunctional. I hate that word.

The door drifted open and saw Phil peeping into the room. He caught my eye for a moment and then glanced down at (y/n). He tip toed over the bed and I looked up at him.

"So, you're all good now?" he asked. I shook my head and he frowned.

"She was yelling and we were mad and she was about to leave, but I begged her to stay," I explained.

"So what are you going to do?" he questioned and I shrugged one shoulder.

"I don't know, all I can really do is wait until she wakes up. Maybe she won't be as mad," I said.

"Hopefully," Phil replied and left again, the room falling silent. I shut my eyes and pressed my forehead against the back of her head.

"I love you," I said, squeezing her against me. She stirred at my actions and glanced up at me. "Hey," Her eyes flickered around my face for a moment.

"Hi," she replied.

"Can we start over talking?" I asked, as she rolled back on her side, away from me. I could tell she was looking at the torn receipt. Guilt ate away at my stomach.

"Yeah," she said.

"(y/n--"

"Can I talk first?" she interrupted. I nodded. "Okay, so the reason I left England was because I hated you. Now I've come back because I love you," she explained, "And when I saw you walk in I was nervous and excited and all I wanted was to hug you, but then you told me you followed me and broke into my house, and I don't even know if you still--" she stopped to look at me, her eyes wide. "What?"

I stared at her confused before I realized my lips were curled into a smile.

"Oh, sorry, I just got caught up in see you again. It makes me happy," I said.

"I just said all that and you're just happy to see me?" she asked. I nodded and she glanced down at her hands, playing with her fingers. "You've got to stop doing that,"

"What?"

"Making me feel guilty," she murmured.

"For what?"

"Everything, you just act so in love with me, and it's hard to say n--"

"Wait act? What in the world makes you think I'm acting?" I asked. She shook her head.

"Look, I just came back to see you," she said, "That's what I wanted to say."

"I know, and I'm ecstatic. But I want you to know, that I'm so sorry for everything I've done to you. I'm just so crazy about you, that I don't really know how to feel you know?" I began, "And I need you to know that I love you more than anything in the world and whatever happened, happened."

"Dan, you're amazing, but what if something goes wrong? I want to but what i--"

"Kiss me," I interrupted and she seemed taken aback. I hadn't kissed her since the coma, and I'd missed it.

"Wha--" I cut her off, pulling her close to me and kissing her, an all familiar feeling that I missed so dearly. Her hands went to rest gently on my neck, as I held her close. She broke away and I buried her into my chest as we laid there.

"I love you," I let the words out again, and she remained still in my arms, face pressed against my t-shirt.

"I love you too," she said, "And I'm sorry too,"

"Everything is done and over with," I said, holding her head, "I know it wasn't meant to be this way, but we're together and the past is gone."

She was silent and still, cold against me and we separated. Her eyes were glossy and her nose sniffled slightly.

"Do you want to go for coffee?" I asked. She dead panned, but smiled slightly.

"Yeah, I know a good place," she bantered. I hesitantly took her hand, and we both stood up. We both headed out silently, afraid to say anything.

"So are we..." She looked over to me as I trailed off.

"Yes," she agreed, knowing what I was implying. The rest of the time was quiet and awkward. Was this a bad decision? We pulled up to the shop.

"You know I never knew this place was called Cafe Corner, I mean, it's not even on a corner," I said. (y/n) glanced up at the sign. After all the symbolic mess that came with this cafe, we didn't even know that name of it?

"Hm, that's funny," she said, though she wasn't laughing. We entered and ordered the same order. I took the receipt and noticed the same signature on it and smiled, tucking it in my pocket. We sat down and she placed her hand under the table for me to hold. I took it and moved it to the table counter, resting it there, and rubbing circles with my thumb. She sipped with her left hand and me with my right, with no one else in that small little coffee shop.

"Hey," I said, disrupting her thoughts, "I missed you."

And I didn't mean just now, but all the way back when she first left the flat and get hit.

"I missed you too," she replied, glancing down the lid of her cup. I pulled the receipt out of my pocket and slid it across the table for her. She glanced at it, then me and smiled.

"Thank you,"

Stay awesome!
