The two of the continued to talk about me and Tae as we drove to the Korean restaurant. Mason found it very ironic that we were planning on going to get Korean food while I had a secret Korean boyfriend.
When we walked into the restaurant the familiar smell of spicy food and kimchi filled my nose. I'll probably end up ordering everything on the menu.
While we searched the menu they would point to the Hangul writing and make me read it, who knew speaking Korean was so fascinating.
"What can I you guys?" The waitress asked with a thick accent.
"I'll have the cold noodles and a side of rice and kimchi." I said in Korean. Her face lit up.
"You speak Korean?" She exclaimed. "Oh you're the girlfriend of the Idol." She spoke before I could respond.
"Yes I am." I smiled. The other two ordered and the waitress happily walked away.
"What were you two talking about?" Misha asked while fiddling with her chopsticks.
"She recognized me." I shrugged.
The food came out fast and we ate it even faster. Of course I forced them to take a photo with me so I could post it to Instagram.
We all scrolled through our phones as we waited for the check. Suddenly my phone was bombarded with notifications.
"What-" I whispered to myself.
"Uhm, (y/n). You might want to see this."
Misha handed me her phone. The screen showed a news article: "BTS V is abusive?" Read the title.
Oh no.
Hesitantly I clicked on it and began to read.
The kpop idol group BTS was recently spotted in Hawaii along with BTS V's girlfriend, (y/n) (l/n). Paparazzi pictures have began to surface. The photos have revealed self harm scars on (Y/N) wrist, bruises on her arms and sides, and even photos of the two of them arguing. Is (y/n) safe? Just today Kim Taehyung (V) was seen drunk in the streets. Is that why they sent her back to California? Could there be more to this relationship that meets the eye?
I was shocked. No one is really going to believe this? I went to the comments. They seemed the my usual hate comments while some supporters tossed in, until I started scrolling further down. People actually thought he hurt me.
"(Y/n)?" Mason spoke gently.
"What!" I may have said a bit too harsh.
"You're phone is ringing."
I desperately jumped to my phone.
Incoming call: Taebae
"Babe?" I could feel tears coming up. I hated seeing people say such terrible things about him.
"Are you alright?"
"Yes, people actually believe it. You would neve-" I choked up.
"I know, I know. Just call down okay, everything is going to be fine. Bang PD will be calling you soon, they are setting up a press conference for you."
"Me? Why me? You know I can't speak in public." I began to panic even more.
"There She is!" An unfamiliar voice said. A large group of men with cameras and microphones began running towards the table. I hang up the phone without saying goodbye and threw my hood up. I signaled my friends to do the same while I placed my sunglasses on my face.
We pushed through the crowd and started running down the street. The sound of the stampedes feet still followed. The crowd quickly became bigger as we were spotted by a big group of fans.
I spotted an parked taxi just a few blocks ahead of us and signaled my friends to go to it. It only took us a few seconds to jump into the car and yell for the driver to start going.
We quickly lost the crowd. I couldn't hear anything over the loud of my beating heart. I looked down at my phone and saw an email from Bang PD.
(Y/n), sweetie. I'm sorry you're going through this alone. We are sending Kang and Ryu down on the next flight to the US. I've set up a conference in 4 days, do NOT make any comments to the press until then. Lay low and stay safe.
Bang PD
"They're sending my bodyguard here."
"You have bodyguards?" Mason asked astonished, still out of breath.
"Did you not just see what happened?" I pointed behind me and he just nodded and faced back to the front.
We let the taxi driver know to make a big loop and go back to the restaurant, hopefully they were gone by now.
As we drove by the restaurant only a few men remained, not enough to stop me from getting my car.
"Go quick. Keep your head down and say nothing." I instructed my friends. We all got out of the car and calmly walked to my car, the camera men followed but I blocked out their questions.
I started driving, my friends were silent.
"It's not true right?" Mason asked from the back seat.
"Of course is not!" I yelled.
"But.. the scars and the bruises.." Misha joined.
"I used to have really bad depression and the bruises were from wrestling with the members. Taehyung would never hurt me." They didn't respond.
After dropping them off at their houses I quickly went home and went straight to my room.
I knew there would be more supporters than haters. There are million of ARMY and they know he wouldn't hurt me. They know him. How could they have been convinced it's true?
These next few days will be hell, especially school. At least I'll have Kang and Ryu, they've honestly been the parents my parents should be. We don't talk a lot but if I ever have a problem their one of the first people I call.
Will I be able to last 4 days?
