Adeline Carter's POV
I wake up to see that Matéo is still in my bed.
I unwrap his arms from around me and get out of bed.
I grab my clothes and everything else I'll need after I take a shower and head to the bathroom.
I quickly take a shower and brush my teeth, before wearing my clean clothes.

I look in the mirror and decided that I look good enough.
I walk out of my room to see that Matéo is already up and out of my bed.
He must have gone downstairs already.
I grab my bag and head down the stairs.
I kiss Sofia on the cheek and say good morning to her.
My parents and brother left yesterday morning, before I got up.
I make eye contact with Matéo and his eyes glide down my body slowly and then back up to my eyes.
He bites his lip slowly and stands upright.
He looks good.
"Let's go" he says. I nod and he follows me out of the kitchen.
He holds the door open for me and we step out.
We get into the car and he starts to drive.
I get out a textbook and go over some notes.
Without warning, he reaches his hand out and grabs my thigh.
I look at him and he focuses on the road, one hand on the wheel.
From the corner of his lips, I see a small smirk.
I shift a bit, willing myself not to react to him.
His thumb rubs circles on my skin and I glare at him.
"I'm trying to concentrate!" I say exasperatedly.
He chuckles.
"I'm not apologising for how good you look. I'm marrying you." he shrugs.
I smile a little, thankfull that it's just us in the car, and grab his hand to hold it instead.
I entwin our fingers and continue to read.
We stay like that until we get to school.
I grab my bag and step out of the car.
We are walking for a few minutes until I feel Matéo wrap his arm around my waist.
I look up to see him glaring at someone.
I follow his line of sight until I see what he is looking at.

Another well known person, but a lot nicer than Lilly, from what I know.
He stares at me from underneath his long eyelashes, a small smile on his face.
I look away first.
Matéo leans down to whisper in my ear.
"Don't let me catch him trying anything on you" he says.
"Matéo we don't even know each other, well enough to- -" I start, only to be cut off.
"Am I clear?" He asks.
His lips are pressed up against my ear, making me crack.
"You're tripping" I say pulling away.
He snatches me back, biting earlobe a little, making me lose sense, his stubble rubbing on my neck.
I try not to make a sound.
"I'm your fiancé. I'm allowed to 'trip'." He says, before pulling away.
He walks me to class and gives me a hug.
I walk into class and sit down, getting out all of the stuff that I will need.
A few moments later, Lilly and her gaggle of idiots walk into the class and sit in their little group, which happens to be right behind me.
Skye, one of them, starts speaking to me.
"Hey, Ade, who's the boy, I saw you hanging with earlier?" She asks.
"He's cute!" She gushed.
I roll my eyes and ignore her.
"I think I may invite him over, so we could..." She starts and I cut her off.
"Before you finish that sentence, lemme cut in, you trick ass broad." I say, jealousy kicking in.
The whole class stopped what they're doing and listens.
Even the teacher.
Skye stares at me confused.
She has clearly never been challenged before.
Apart from of course mentally.
"That gorgeous guy!" I start, mimicking her stupid accent, which earns a few laughs.
"Is my boyfriend." I say, rising a shocked look from her.
"Or could you not tell by the way he was all over me?" I ask sarcastically.
Her mouth drops open, but before she can spew out any nonsense, I cut her off again.
"Let me catch you trying anything and I will personally change your sleeping place, understand?" I say.
I finish and sit down.
Her face is extremely red and I know I've caused trouble but I don't care.
He's not my property, but he does belong to me.

It's lunchtime and me, James, Belle and Matéo sit at our table eating.
Out of nowhere, Lilly and her circus strut up to our table.
Lilly ignores the rest of us and focused on Matéo, who looks partly bored and partly annoyed.
"Hey!" She giggles pulling her skirt a little higher, exposing her fake tan covered legs and licking her shiny lips.
Yikes.
Her top is at least 3 sizes too small, exposes a lot of 'cleavage' produced by a bra that is way too small.
I glance at James, who looks like he wants to laugh and Belle, who has a similar expression.
"What did you say your name was?" He asks Lilly, taking a sip of his drink.
She pales a little but recovers.
"You can call me 'yours' if you want to" she giggles, batting her eyelashes at him.
What the fuck?
I could throw up.
I nearly vomit at the corniness of the pickup line.
Her voice is all high and fake. She twirls an blonde lock around her finger.
He looks annoyed now.
"I've got a girlfriend." he says and he turns away from her.
I hear a small gasp coming from her.
She is clearly not used to being told no.
What is wrong with these people?
She tries to sit in his lap and talk to him.
Big mistake.
He pushes her off of him violently, sending her hurtling into the ground.
James bursts out into a fit of laughter, unable to hold it in anymore.
I look at him and he is crying silent tears of laughter and recording the whole thing on his and Belle's phones.
Belle is just grinning at Matéo with pride on her face.
Matéo stands up.
"Are you deaf, Thistle?" He asks.
"It's Lilly" she squeaks.
"It's Thistle now" Matéo shrugs.
"I said, I have a girl, get it through your head, you idiot!" He says.
He takes a step toward her crouching frame and I stand up grabbing a fistful of his shirt and pull him towards me.
I've never seen him getting so angry.
I whisper in his ear telling him to leave it.
"Come on, baby, please?" I ask him, cooing gently in his ear.
His body relaxes and he looks at me.
"Get out of my face, before I do something I go to jail for later" he says, looking at her.
With a small shriek, she stands up and limps off, quickly.
"Damn, boy!" Someone yells.
"Yessir!" Another yells.
Matéo chuckles and sits next to me again.
"You need to control your temper" I tell him.
He shrugs.
"I'm taken, and she's gonna learn that I'm happy with what I got. I don't need or even want her" he says.
I turn away and continue to eat.
What an interesting day.
