Meeting
Featuring Jayson Tatum
"Ma. I'm nervous." Y/N's seven year old son Cameron said as he led his mother towards his classroom. Y/N let out a small chuckle as she watched her growing son.
"Why are you nervous? Are you giving your teacher a hard time?" She asked sternly as she raised her brow at him.
"No no no. Mr. Tatum and I are cool. I'm just nervous for him to meet you that's all." He quickly said as he held her hand, dragging her down the hall way. Y/N let out a small laugh, curious to what her son was up to now.
"Looks like we have to wait a bit." She said as she took a seat outside of the classroom. There were at least four other sets of parents with their children, as we was speaking to one inside.
"That's okay. We can wait." Cameron said as he sat on the seat next to her, swinging his legs.
"You? Mr. I don't have time for this can wait? I am appalled." Y/N said as she put her hand over her chest making her son giggle.
"Ma. Firstly you use the word appalled way too much. I know there is other words in the thesaurus and secondly, today is a good day." He said with a smile on his face. Y/N squinted his eyes at him as she pulled his ear lightly.
"Ow."
"Out here telling me about using a thesaurus. You are too smart for your age boy." She said as she shook her head. "And that girl you like spoke to you today huh."
Cameron face lit up with a big grin as he pushed his glasses up his nose.
"It's that obvious huh?"
"Yes it is mister no tooth."
"Ma. You said you're going to stop." He please as he covered his mouth. Y/N laughed a bit as she wrapped her arms around her son.
"It's okay baby. Mommy just playing."
Cameron huffed lightly which made her chuckle a bit. She would've never thought that she would be raising a growing son at the age of 24. Y/N was a community oriented person and many social workers knew her. Cameron was just rescued from an abusive home at the age of three when they asked her if it was possible to take him in.
She was only twenty and finished her degree early, but she was stable enough to raise the child. Y/N honestly couldn't be anymore happier that she decided to adopt him. The last four years was of one with joy and happiness as she helped raised an intelligent young boy.
"Parents of Cameron." A deep voice said making Y/N head pop up. Y/N scanned the hallway to see where the voice came from, to see a tall pale caramel guy standing at the door.
"That's your teacher Cam?" Y/N asked more in a shock tone as they got up from her seat. Cameron let out a small laugh as he nodded his head. The duo walked towards the classroom as Mr. Tatum was already at his seat.
"Have a seat." He simply said as he watched Y/N intently. A small smile graced his lips as he observed how beautiful she was. Her smooth brown skin and bouncy curls alone attracted him.
"Good Evening Mrs-"
"Ms. Y/N." She corrected him as she held out her hand to shake. Jayson chuckled to himself as he shook her hand as well. He was slightly happy to hear that she wasn't married.
"Nice to meet you Ms. Y/N. I am Mr. Tatum, Cameron's teacher." He said as he shot one of his million dollar smiles at her. Y/N smiled back at him as she nodded her head.
"It's a pleasure to meet my son's favourite teacher." She replied staring at him still. Cameron watched between the two adults as he shook his head. He knew they were flirting and wasn't going to stop until they left.
"Hey Mr. Tate, can you tell my mom how awesome my grades are." Cameron finally chimed in as he got tired of the staring his mother and teacher were doing. Jayson cleared his throat and pulled out Cameron's file with his test and assignments.
"As you can see Cam here is very smart individual. His lowest grade for the term is a B and he only got that because he wasn't feeling to good that day." Jayson said as he nodded his head at Cameron.
"Was that the day you had a belly ache and you quarreled with grandma that you had to go to school because you had a test?" Y/N asked as she watched him with a raised brow. Cameron nodded his head, still slightly embarrassed about that day.
"Oh wow." She said with a slight chuckle. "Is he mischievous in class or anything? Because I know he can get a little smart." Jayson let out a small laugh as he shook his head.
"Maybe a little hotheaded on the playground but he was proper class etiquette. Pays attention, participates and helps other students, especially this girl Susan." Jayson said as he put away Cameron's file.
Cameron watched him with wide eyes, not believing he actually told his mother the name of his crush.
"Oh so Susan is her name. That's sweet." Y/N said with a bright smile making Cameron groan.
"Oops. Aye my bad little man. I thought she knew." He said with a simple shrug as Cameron sent him glares.
"It's whatever Mr. Tate. Go ahead ask my mother what you wanted to ask her. I know you've been watching her a while. Let's get this over with." Cameron said in a dismissive tone as he rested his arm on the chair. Jayson glared at him with an amused look before looking over to Y/N.
"So um. Ms. Y/N, I was wondering if you would like to go out with me some day. Get to know each other on stuff." He said as with a big smile on his face. Y/N eyes lit up as she realized she was being asked on a date. She hasn't been on a date since she was seventeen and she wouldn't mind getting know the fine man inside of her.
"That, that would be nice." She said as he opened her bag looking for her business card. "My personally number is on there, feel free to call whenever."
She handed him her business card as he smiled at the number.
"I will, I will." He said as he got up to escort them out of the classroom. Cameron shook his head the entire scenario. He couldn't believe his teacher and his mother was flirting right in front of him. They trio said their goodbyes as the mother and son headed towards the vehicle.
"Wow Ma. My teacher." He said as he shook his head.
"Don't wow Ma me. Your teacher is a lovely young man that I want to be my friend." Y/N said with a simple shrug.
"Yeah right. Next thing you know you're walking down the aisle and he is my dad now." He said as he shook his head again. Y/N let out a small giggle as she poked his sides.
"That's okay. I'll make sure Susan is your date."
"Ma."
"Hey Jayson, or should I say Mr. Tatum since it's school hours." Y/N said as he picked up the phone. Jayson let out a small groan as he tried to masked the sexual tension that plummeted through his body.
"Let's keep Mr. Tatum for when the kids aren't around. It makes me feel away." He said making her giggle. He looked out of the window for a second, making sure that his class was okay on the playground.
"Whatever you want sweetie. How may I help you?" She asked as put her phone on speaker. She was currently in her home office, typing up an article for a magazine.
"Oh I just wanted to hear your voice that's all." He said making her roll her eyes. The pair been dating for the last two months and they couldn't be anymore happier. Their spirits bounced off each other and it was always a good time when they were together.
"Okay sure. You don't call in the middle of school Jay. What's up?"
"Oh. I just got a lecture from your son. Stating if I break your heart he will break my hand. It was quite scary coming from a seven year old honestly." Jayson said as he shook his head. Y/N let out a loud laugh as she smiled to herself.
"That's my baby."
"Mhhm. I have to go now, before I get another lecture. I'll see you tonight."
"Bye have a nice day."
