"You're Pregnant?"
"Yes. Baby Cassidy due in two weeks." I put my hands on my flat stomach. He choked out a laugh and lift me up, twirling me around. I giggled
"We're gonna have a sibling!" The twins shouted jumping up and down. We laughed as the danced around happy. They then both stopped in front of us.
"I bet she's a girl." Faith beams
"Nu-uh, It's a boy."
"As long as their healthy, it doesn't matter. Now we only have two weeks, I am going to get big very fast. Am I assured that my two best helpers will be the greatest brother and sister to help.
"Yes. " They told me in unison.
"Good, now I don't know about you but I think baby Cassidy's room is a little wall bare."
"Faith let's draw some pictures." Johnny took his sisters hand and they ran out. Jack turned my head
"What did I do to deserve you?" he questioned
"You were yourself and you loved me? Does that help?"
"Very much. When did you find out."
"This morning. After them two I'm more aware when something is different. That and they moved while you were sorting the kids out."
"I love you." I put my arms around him and kissed him
"I love you too."

One week later and I was big like wearing maternity clothes big. The children had done pictures for the bursary and picked photos out for the baby to see. Like pictures of us. Jack was out on a hunt and Grandpa was due in sometime before the birth.
The phone started ringing, I groaned getting up when I heard Johnny call.
"I'll get it." I breathed an airy smile. The twins were absolute gems when I woke up with belly, they asked me lots of questions like is this what happened with them, is it always the same? Things
like that. Johnny came running into the kitchen.
"Mom. It's the hospital ." He handed me the phone
"Hello."
"Hello my name is Dr Freddie Addams. I'm looking for Mr Jackson Cassidy." came the voice over the phone.
"He's not here. I'm his wife, Allison. Can I help?"
"Can you and Mr Cassidy come down to New York Central Hospital."
"What is this regarding?"
"Mrs Frances Castle." I looked at the children.
"We'll be there as soon as possible. Thank you." I hung up and held my stomach for a moment
"Mom, what's going on."
"You and your sister get your coats and shoes on, now and wait at the garage door." He nodded and ran off. I dialled Jack's number and waited
"Ali? Is everything okay? Is it the baby?"
"Baby's fine. You need to come home now, it's your Nana." I told him walking to get my coat.
"Heading back now."
"I'll meet you at the edge of the woods." I hung up and opened the door to the garage. The car beeped and the kids opened the doors and got in. I locked the door behind me and got in too. We pulled out and I drove for about five minutes reaching the edge of the forest. Jack got in and I pulled away.
"What's going on?" He wondered
"I don't know but I just got a call from the hospital, they wouldn't say what, only that you needed to get there soon."
When we reached the hospital, a while later and parked. Heading inside we asked for Frances and pointed in the right direction. On our way there I stopped mid track.
"Mom." Faith asked "We have to go."
"I think I know why we're here. " I pointed up to the sign. 'Cancer ward' I looked at my children then a Jack who froze. I took his hand.
"It's okay." I pulled him along to the reception.
"Dr Freddie Addams?" I asked
"Mrs Cassidy." We turned to see a doctor late twenties coming out of a side room
"Yes. This is my husbad Jackson. And our children."He nodded
"Mr Cassidy, Can we talk in my office." Jack nodded
"Do you want me to come with you?" Jack shook his head and followed the doctor. I took the twins hands and sat down. We waited for about 15 minutes when he came back out again. The look on his face, if he could cry, he would be. I wrapped my arms around him.
"Dad what's going on?" Faith questioned
"There is a family room up the hall if you would like a moment before seeing her." Dr Addams pointed. Jack stumbled slightly towards the room. We sat down and The twins hugged their Dad
"Is Nan, sick?" Johnny spoke. Jack looked at me then at them
"Yes. Yes she is."
"What did the doctor say?" I wondered sitting in front of him
"Your Nana, has been so brave I want you to know that, okay. But she hasn't been well for a while, Your Nan has tried for months to get better but the medicine the hospital has, it's failing." I covered my mouth in shock
"That's, That's why she smelt different. The chemo, it was affecting her. Why didn't she tell us?" I breathed
"I don't know but Dr Addams said she was insistent that no one was to know. Not until now. She collapsed at home, her neighbour was coming for a visit when she saw her."
"Is she going to die?" The ask. Jack pulls them closer and I felt tears fall. I took their hands
"This is going to be hard, for all of us. Even though we knew someday it would happen, it doesn't make it easier. But we'll get through this. As a family." They cried
"Do you want to see her?"
"Yeah." Jack nodded and we stood up. He took my hand then Faith took his while Johnny took mine. He took us to her room and opened the door. She saw us and smiled
"Hey. Look at you." Jack dropped our hands and took her side.
"Nana, why didn't you say anything?"
"Because I didn't want to see that look. The look of broken that I can't fix. And I thought I could beat it."
"You should have told me or Austin or Mom. Anyone so you didn't go through this alone."
"I was never alone. Beside, you have your life, I didn't want to ruin it."
"You wouldn't have Frances. Never." I told her going round to the other side. She looked at my stomach and then me.
"When did this happen. The last time I saw you, you were going to Summerland." She then looked at Jack.
"Need to know?"
"No, you can know."
"Jackson." I warned
"Who is she going to tell, Ali, she's dying. I'm not going to let her die without knowing the truth. It's the least I can do." I gave in and nodded for him to continue. He began to tell her about the vampire world, the Cullen's, Nessie and I, the twins, Baby three. The crash, his turning. Everything."
"So let me get this straight. You had a human mother who married a vampire and had you and your sister."
"Yes."
"Making you half and half a hybrid?" I nodded
"You died after being in a car crash and she gave you venom making you a vampire too." Jack hummed
"You then had these two who are slightly more vampire than human and a pregnancy only takes two weeks."
"Yeah." Faith agreed
"And you couldn't tell me because men who call themselves Volturi might have found out and done something horrible"
"Putting it mildly, but yes."
"Oh Jackson, you know how to pick em." she looked at me "I don't see you any differently love. Not even now but he's always had a knack for getting himself into the weird." I chuckle slightly
"So you grow so fast because of your genes, which is why you aged seven years in a year."
"Yep. We've slowed down now, when we reach seven we'll stop aging all together" Johnny told her. She took Jacks hand
"Thank you."
"What for."
"Not telling me, it's only now when there is nothing else left for me that this sounds sane." She kissed his hand
"When are you due?"
"Next week some time."
"Well I'll hold out as much as I can. I want to see my third great grandchild" Well all sat round telling her more stories of our crazy life.
