Harry

I waited outside along with all of the students in Hogwarts. The teachers were inside, finishing up their preparations for the war.

To say I was nervous or anxious was an understatement. I was completely and utterly terrified. I mean, who wouldn't? We're going up against an enemy I haven't even known existed until Professor McGonagall told us. And this enemy can only be beat with weapons, we can't even use our wands!

I glanced over at Percy and Annabeth and saw that they were standing a few feet away from everyone else. They were talking in low voices and I could tell from Percy's expression that their conversation wasn't pleasant.

I shifted and tried to readjust my armour to make it more comfortable for me. It was weighing me down, but not as much that I wouldn't be able to fight. I sighed and tightened my grip on my sword hilt.

"We're going to be fine." Hermione said. I looked at her and saw her fidgeting with her sword. "Everything is going to be just fine."

"Stop trying to convince yourself that. Everything is not going to be fine. In any moment, we're going to be fighting for our lives." Ron interjected. He was pale and sweaty. "So no, it's not fine."

I moved over and put a hand on his shoulder. "We're not giving up Hogwarts to the enemy that easily, alright?" "As if we would, Hogwarts is basically our home." Hermione said, a faint smile on her face.

Ron didn't respond but he nodded, so I knew I got my point across. As I moved back to my original position, I heard faint footsteps approaching from the distance. Everyone shifted uneasily as the footsteps got louder and louder until the enemy army appeared. In the lead were two tall men dressed in armour. One of the men's armour was so bright it was hard to look at.

Monsters started appearing behind the two men. There were the monsters I saw in my dream, along with hellhounds and some snake ladies.

Before my very eyes, dark wizards apparated into existence beside the monsters. All of them wore black cloaks and had their hoods pulled up over their faces so that all I could see were their mouths.

Percy pulled out his pen from his pocket and uncapped the lid, his bronze sword springing out in all of it's glory. Annabeth unsheathed a dagger and twirled it between her fingers.

One of the men spoke, and when he did, his voice sent chills down my spine because I recognized it. The voice of Kronos, Percy's grandfather.

"So I see you're all geared up and ready to fight me and my army." Kronos's golden eyes switched to Percy, who glared at his grandfather. "Honestly grandpa, you made a big mistake coming here."

"Did I? I don't see so. The wizards are such a vulnerable group. They only rely on those pathetic little wands. Other than that, they can't fight at all." A smile appeared at the corners of Kronos's mouth as he said that. The students bristled at his words and I felt fury bubble up inside me. How dare Kronos talk about us like that!

"Our students are weak, and we certainly aren't." I turned to see the teachers appear into existence right beside us. All of them were armed with at least one type of weapon.

Kronos rolled his eyes. "Let's get this over with." With an unspoken command, Kronos's army charged forwards except the man in the golden armour. He remained at Kronos's side.

I moved forwards to engage one of the dark wizards. The wizard aimed a spell at me, but I ducked and ran my sword into his stomach. The man gasped as blood started to pour from the wound. I yanked my sword out just as the man collapsed to the ground. "I killed someone." I whispered, looking at my bloody sword. "With.... With an actual weapon...."

"HARRY!" Percy yelled. I glanced up and raised my sword just in time to block a slash from one of the Empousai thingies. The monster hissed at me, her eyes narrowing. She lunged at me and as I tried to stab her, she batted my sword out of my hand and sent it flying. The monster pinned me to the floor and purred "What a lovely little human you are." Fangs came out of her mouth as she leaned towards my neck. "You'll taste delicious....."

Before she could bite into my neck, the monster's eyes widened in shock as the point of a sword protruded from her stomach. She shrieked and dissolved into dust. I coughed and looked up to see Percy standing over me, his sword in his hand. He pulled me to my feet and handed me my sword. "You have to pay attention." He said, turning back to the fight.

"Thank you." I said, but then my eyes caught sight of the golden armoured man walking towards Percy. "Percy, who's that?" Percy glanced at the man and he paled. "Styx."

The man stopped a few meters away from Percy and I and he flashed a bright smile at Percy. "Hello, Perseus Jackson." "Go back to your little hellhole, Hyperion." Percy spat at the titan.

The man's smile broadened. He unsheathed a golden sword and pointed it at Percy. "No Perseus Jackson, I don't think so. Once we kill all these pesky wizards, Kronos will kill you and your little girlfriend as well."

Percy's grip tightened considerably on his sword as his eyes hardened. "You're not touching Annabeth, nor are you killing any of us." Hyperion sighed as he raised his sword. "Well, you'll all die eventually. Kronos just wants to kill you himself."

Hyperion struck at Percy, who barely managed to counter his attack. Percy kicked Hyperion in the chest and the titan stumbled back. Percy raised his arms as the sky darkened and rain began to fall onto the battlefield. Hyperion roared in fury and I watched, fascinated, as his body tried to light on fire but it was always doused by Percy's storm.

"NOT AGAIN!" Hyperion shouted. "YOU PESKY DEMIGOD!" Percy smirked as he darted forwards and slashed with his sword at Hyperion's face. Hyperion blocked the hit but Percy got into his guard and stabbed the titan in the shoulder.

Hyperion bellowed in pain and backhanded Percy, sending him flying a few meters before he landed roughly on the ground. The storm faltered for a bit before Percy staggered to his feet and regained his control on the storm. The wind picked up, swirling and howling around the two combatants. I looked back and saw many students that weren't fighting stop to stare in awe at Percy and at the storm he was creating.

Percy lunged forwards again, and as the titan swung at him, Percy dodged smoothly to the side and opened up a gash in the titan's armour with his sword. Hyperion roared in agony and he tried to backhand Percy once more but Percy's sword went up and sliced the titan's hand clean off.

Hyperion screamed just as Percy gained a running start before he leaped up and slammed his sword with all his might into Hyperion's head, causing the titan to explode into dust. Percy landed with a crouch on the grass, panting heavily. The storm he had created vanished so that the fighters weren't being drenched anymore.

Annabeth ran over to Percy's side, her dagger covered in monster dust and in blood. She grabbed his arm and helped him to his feet. I joined Ron and Hermione who were fighting two of the snake ladies. Hermione plunged her sword into one of the snake ladies tail while Ron stabbed it in the heart, finishing it off. I jumped forwards and stabbed the snake lady in the chest before bringing my sword all the way down to the ground, opening up a big cut in her stomach. The monster dissolved into dust before my very eyes.

I turned away just in time to see Kronos stride towards Percy and Annabeth, his golden eyes ablaze with fury. He stopped a short distance away like Hyperion did and crossed his arms.

"You have always been a thorn in my side, grandson. I can't seem to get rid of you." "Great, that's good. Guess what? I don't give two flying fucks." Percy drawled as he wiped some monster dust off of his face. Kronos scowled as a scythe appeared in his hands. "You die today!" Before Kronos or Percy could lunge at each other, an earsplitting scream echoed over the battlefield.

My blood ran cold as I whirled around to see Hermione fall to the ground with a spear through her chest.

"NO! HERMIONE!"
