The next day, Josh kicked me in the stomach to wake me up. I groaned but got up anyway. I looked around and remembered that I got kidnapped. I had a plan. I wasn't gonna let those rogues demolish my Pack. Over my dead fucking body. That is not what a Luna does. Even if I'm not Luna anymore....
My plan was that I was gonna pretend to be sick. When the rogues dragged me here, I pretended to be knocked out but I was actually awake after an hour. On the way I saw the Rogue Hospital. It wasn't in the house like normal packs. Then again they were rogues, they do everything differently.
I would make sure I got to the hospital. I would see if they had extra nurse suits. Then I would block my scent and run away. This was a stupid plan but it's all I got for now.
I was currently trying to contact anyone in the Pack. But all I heard was a faint buzzing sound in the back if my head. "Hello? It's Riley" I mind liked them. No answer.
I sighed and decided to go on with my plan. I ate all my breakfast which was left over pancakes with bite marks and half a bitten sausage. It was disgusting but I was hungry. And without food, I wouldn't be able to throw up.
An hour later, I shoved a finger down my throat and threw up the pancakes and sausage. I then tried to make my face hot by sticking my face into the ray of sunshine shining down on me. After my face was hot enough, I screamed. Josh hurried to the door and looked at me.
I pointed to the vomit. He sighed and unlocked the door. He screamed for someone named Landon to clean up the mess. He took off my handcuffs and pulled me up. But he wasn't holding on to me this time. "Any funny business, and I will make sure we just kill your Alpha right away." I nodded and pretended to cough.
As we walked to the hospital, I tried mind linking again. "Anyone there? It's Riley."
"Luna?" I heard someone ask. "Yeah It's me!!!"
"Where are you?!?! Alpha Cayden won't even let us blink."
"Tell Cayden to put his mind link on"
"OK"
When I was done with that conversation, we arrived at the hospital. It was really small which was a disadvantage to my plan. But anything will do.... Josh told me to follow him. I urged another fake cough. He led me to a room and told me to lay on the bed.
"The doctor will check for a fever, if you're sick then you're useless" He said leaving the room. But I could smell him, he was guarding the door. "Riley?" A faint voice asked. "Cayden, Destiny is planning to kill you and the whole Pack if you come for me" I warned him.
"Does it look like I give two fucks if Destiny kills me. I want you and the Pack to be safe. No need to worry about me. I'm coming for you, tell me where you are" He commanded using his Alpha voice, which didn't scare me one bit. Cayden could be a total softie if he wanted to.
"I don't know know where I am, but I do know it's unclaimed territory that the rogues claimed. I think Destiny is their leader because they follow her commands. Don't bother looking for me, I can take care of myself, keep the Pack safe from any rogue attack instead." I didn't wait for his answer and I shut mind link off.
I knew Cayden was probably now sending his men to look on every inch of unclaimed land. He will never learn. If the Pack gets hurt I don't know what I'll do with myself. It's not worth it to risk a lot of lives for mines.
My thoughts got interrupted when a man walked in. His hair was jet black with a few white and gray streaks in them. His eyes were gray and his skin was starting to get wrinkled.
"Dr. Grill, doctor of the rogues of Kolindale. Kolindale was our town in Pennsylvania. ( A/N not a real town that I know of....)
He said that so proudly. He looked at me with pure disgust. "Well let's get you checked up.." he said.
Before he stuck the thermometer in my mouth, I erupted into a fit of obnoxious coughs. "Can you please get me some water" I asked between coughs. "I suppose so......"He said cautiously. He left the room.
I immediately got off the bed and loomed through the closet in the corner of the room. Only a lab coat, like Dr. Grill was wearing and the face mask thing. It will do. I pulled on the lab coat and put on the mask. I then took the hair tie around my wrist and pulled my hair into a low bun.
I then looked around for a window. I heard Dr. Grill, dang it! I found a window at the back if the closet and pulled it open. I looked down, about 10 feet in the air. Not as high as I expected. Dr. Grill came in. SHIT.
I didn't hesitate as I squeezed myself through the window and jumped.
I landed on my feet but then fell on my butt. As I did, Josh and 2 more bodyguards came rushing out of the hospital doors. I got to my feet and ran, even though my feet hurt from the impact of the fall. Damn they can run fast. I shifted after 30 seconds of running.
That was a skill that was hard to master. When I was 16 and had my first shift, a couple of weeks later a Pack member taught me how to do it at a training. I think his name was Luis.
Josh and the other two had to stop to shift. HA!! suckuz! I ran the fastest I could, I didn't even notice that they split up from behind me and that one of them beat me to the end of the territory.
I slammed into a something, or should I say someone...
"Good job Manny" Josh congratulated the guy. They all had evil grins on their faces. "Wait 'till Destiny hears about this!" Manny smirked. I sighed as they lifted me up and walked me back to the cell. My plan backfired, and I possibly put everyone in danger.
How stupid am I?
That night I got "punished" by having no dinner and they took a surprise visit to the Pack. I spent the whole night hitting the back of my head against the wall guilt. All my fault. I didn't go to sleep. And it didn't help that Josh fell asleep in the plastic chair in the corner of the room. I didn't trust him ...
"Riley it's Cayden. We found you, we're coming don't worry"
"Cayden I told you to stay away from this, I don't want you or the Pack getting hurt more than you already. I heard they attacked you today."
"Riley, we're already here, and they barely left a scratch on any of us."
He left the mind link. He wasn't lying when he said he was there. I heard growling outside and howling. Josh bolted out of his chair and locked the doors with 3 locks. "Gool luck getting to her" he chuckled as he left.
I sighed. I wonder what Jay is doing. Probably freaking out or something. That was the only thing that could take my mind off of things. And I actually smiled for the first time in a couple of days. I heard yelling coming from the stairs. "I found her!!" an all too familiar voice screamed. Jay.
"Jay what the fuck are you doing here? Your human, you can easily get hurt!! Did you sneak over here!?!" I hissed, but I was actually really happy to see that insane bitch. "Yes I snuck over here, and I would like to see those rogues just try to get within 500 feet of me." She said popping her knuckles.
"Now tell me how the hell am I supposed to open this shit Riley?" She asked playing with the combinations on the locks.
Unbelievable.
She fucking opened them!! "Now tell me how the fuck did you open them?" I asked. "I can do anything Riley, I can even hijack a car" She smirked.
I chuckled. This girl needed a doctor....quick. She threw the door open and and fiddled with the handcuffs and the chains around my feet. She couldn't open either. Landon sneaked down the stairs.
"Jay.....behind you....." I whispered quietly so he wouldn't hear. She turned around and smirked when she saw Landon. "Awesome!! Bring it on baby!!!" She squealed.
Landon lunged for her but she moved out of the way. She grabbed Josh's chair and laughed. "C'mon, don't leave me hanging, I thought you were supposed to be strong dipthong!!" She challenged.
Landon growled and came closer to her. Jay looked amused and not one bit scared. She ran for him unexpectedly and tackled him to the floor. She started hitting him with the chair. "I'm bored.." she said getting up from him and throwing the chair.
She then jumped on his stomach. He grunted and tried to get up but failed miserably. Just as Jay grabbed a broom from outside the cell and started to beat up Landon with it, Cayden came running down the stairs.
He ran to me, and ripped the chains off the wall and the handcuffs. Just as he did so, Destiny came with a gun in her hand.
This mothafucking bitch!!!!
Reality hit me as she aimed the gun at me she pulled the trigger and the bullet came flying towards me. I didn't comprehend anything else as Cayden jumped in front of me and lay limp on the ground.
