"Good Morning Baby." The Australian rookie said as he noticed his girl turn in the bed. He threw over his practice shirt as he kissed her forehead.
"Good Morning." She said groggily as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "Going to practice already."
"Yup and I'm going to chill with the guys after. I know you have work to do." He said as he pecked her lips and then heading out of the house. Ryan Burke sat up on the bed she shared with her boyfriend as realization hit her.
"It's our fucking anniversary."
January 3rd 2018.
10:40am.
Ryan has been up for the last hour, cleaning around the house, hoping to find to some secret gift like he did the previous years. Unfortunately she found nothing. Frustrated by her lack of findings, she decided to take a long shower to relieve her stress.

Ryan just finished lunch and there was no Ben to be found. She texted him asking him if he was coming home and didn't receive a response until two hours later stating "Nah had some lunch with the guy."
Annoyed at the fact that the man who climbed mountains to be with her, forgot or ignored the fact that today was their anniversary.

Ryan angrily drank some red wine out of her glass. The twenty one year old just came off the phone with her best friend, ranting about Ben. She paced around the living room of the house, confused and frustrated on what was really happening.
"He must cheating."
"But he can't be. That's just not him."
"But the league changes people. There are hoes everywhere for God's sake."
"He would never step out on you like that."
Her thoughts were disturbed as she heard the front door opened and closed. Ben yelled his jolly "baby I'm home" and headed straight to the bed room. Ryan rushed up the stairs to find an empty room and shirtless Ben.
"What the actual fuck?" She finally yelled as she raised her hands in the air.
"What's the problem babe?" He asked confused at her outburst. Ryan shook her head and let out a loud laugh. Ben then knew he was in trouble because she only laughs like that when she is angry.
"What is today?"
"January 3rd."
"No what is today?"
"Wednesday January 3rd."
"Ima ask you one more fucking time. What is today Benjamin?"
"January 3- oh fuck."
"Oh fuck indeed. And imagine I bought you a nice set of girls, planned a nice dinner for you, but all you wanted to do was chill with the boys." Ryan said as she threw her hands up in the air once more.
"Man if you noticed I forgot maybe we could've done something."
"No. I don't know what's going on that peanut brain of yours. I don't know if you had something planned or not. But I guess I'm not important enough to remember our anniversary but that's okay.
"Ryan."
"Don't Ryan me you kangaroo. I'm just tired of your shit right now. That's all."
"Look babe I'm sorry Okay." He said as he brought her into a hug.
"And I'm mad at you. So until then. I'll excuse myself and sleep in the guest room. I can't really deal with this new NBA ego." She said as she grabbed a couple of stuff and walked to the guest room.
"Fuck fuck fuck" Ben mumbled to himself as he picked up his phone from the dressing table.
"Yow ummm.... Joel I need to help me with something. I kinda forgot Ryan's and I anniversary."
