-3rd Person.-
A week later Ali had another birthday and they had began to plan the wedding. They had found a venue and a date. November 15th. In three months, Frances and Ali had been talking and they had managed to invite Jack's parents over all Ali needed to do was get Jack over. It wasn't hard Ali genuinely needed advice from Frances, it was just something that wasn't vitally important. They pulled into Frances' driveway and Ali got off the bike first followed by her fiancée.
Both removing their helmets, the shared a loving look at one another. Jack took her hand and lead her inside.
"Nan, it's us. We're a bit early but...." He stopped seeing two familiar faces.
They looked up towards the door Jack and Ali came through. Frances stood up to greet them.
"Jack."
"What are they doing here Nan?" He asked his grip got slightly tighter on Ali. The two important women of his life shared a uneasy look. Ali spoke first.
"Babe. I asked Frances to contact your parents." Jack looked her. He dropped her hand and stormed out.
"Jack!" She followed him out. "Jack wait please." He swung around
"You knew Ali, you knew what they did to me, how they made me feel. You know that I didn't want to visit that part of my life. Yet you went behind my back with my Grandma of all people and brought them here." She took his hands.
"Look, I know you're upset . But please listen." He looked at her.
"I know you have a bad history with them. But they're your parents. You can't honestly say to me that in 10 years time when you look back on our wedding you won't regret at least telling them your getting married. That you at least tried to heal." he started calming down.
"I love you and you love me. Jack, your turning for me. So that we can be together. Your decision, but with that, you'll watch others die. and whether it's in ten years of fifty. You will wish you done things differently." she held his face in her hands.
"Look even if you don't or can't work things out, no one not even yourself can't say you never tried." They looked into each other's eyes
"Have faith me" She whispered. From inside the house Sarah and Felix Cassidy along with Frances as the couple talked outside. Sarah looked at her son who had matured in ways she only hoped.
"Who is she?" Sarah asked her mother.
"Her name is Allison. She is his fiancée." Sarah looked back at her mother then at Felix
"He's getting married?"
"Yes, she's a wonderful girl, feisty, compassionate, caring. She challenges him and loves him. They're like magnets." They looked at the couple as Jack leaned closer to kiss her softly. Ali took his hand and lead him back inside.
Jack came in and greeted his grandma. Then Ali hugged Frances and they turned to the couple. Jack cleared his throat
"Mom, Dad." he nodded
"Jack." Felix nodded back as well. Jack looked at Ali
"This is Ali, she's my fiancée."
"It's nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Cassidy." Ali smiled at the two. Sarah smiled at the young woman.
"You to...Allison." The tension in the air was thick
"Ali sweetie, why don't you help me with drinks." Frances suggested
"Of course." Ali kissed Jacks cheek and went to the kitchen. Jack sat down and his parents followed. He made no move to speak to them just played with his fingers.
"So how did you two meet?" Sarah spoke first.
"She was a guest at the Summerland resort. I taught her how to dance." He answered Sarah nodded
"She seems nice. How long have you been dating?"
"A year." His parents looked shocked
"Wow, and you're already getting married. A bit soon isn't it?" Jacks scoffs
"Don't do that. Don't pretend you know what's right for me."
"Jackson." Sarah began
"No, look. You did the same with Austin as well, you pushed him too far because he did match up to what you two wanted. We were different from what you expected and you couldn't handle it."
"Honey, I was just saying."
"You were judging. Mom. That woman is one of the best things that has happened to me. It doesn't matter what I've done or what I can't do she loves me. I would have married her the day I told her I loved her if I could. So don't start passing judgement on our relationship. " He yelled
"Jackson." Ali ran in and stood in front of him "Calm down. Calm." she rested a hand on his cheek he breathed slowly.
"It's okay. Right." he nodded and kissed her hand. He sat back down.
"We'll be right in." Ali went back to get the cups of hot drinks. Frances handed them out and Ali sat down taking Jack's hand.
"So Allison, You were a guest at the resort?" Felix spoke for the first time.
"Yes I was, I came with my family. It was the most memorable summer." She smiled looking at Jack
"How old are you?" he wondered
"I'm 20" she lied smoothly. Sarah looked at her hand and noticed then engagement ring.
"Mom is that your ring?" Sarah looked at her mother
"Of course it is. When Jack told me he wanted to propose I had no hesitation of giving it to him." Frances smiled at her grandson.

We sat there in silence not knowing what else to say. My phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID.
"It's Alice. I'll be right back." I kissed Jack's cheek and went to answer.
"Hey. "
"Allison, why haven't you called me back, We need to start planning your wedding."
"Chill Aunt Alice, we already started ." I chuckled
"You have why didn't you say."
"Okay, I will say this only once. 1. I am not my mother I don't need your help. 2 it is not your wedding and 3. you will go completely overboard. We don't want that. Jack and I already spoke to Esme, we're having it at the house in Ontario. I will be driving up there to go over plans and decorations in a few days. It's a simple and intimate wedding."
"I can do simple."
"I'm not having this argument with you Alice. I appreciate you want to help but we're doing just fine. Just chill. Breathe even though you don't need to. Now is the wedding all you wanted to talk about?"
"Maybe."
"I will be back for a few days to plan. I will see you then. Okay."
"Fine. Bye." I hung up and went back in. Jack was stood up, when I came back in.
"Everything okay?"
"No, we're leaving." He stated coming over and taking my hand "And don't expect an invite to the wedding, you're not welcome. Let's go Ali."
"Oh, okay. Bye Frances." I called being pulled through the door
"Bye Allison."
"Jack do you want to talk about it." he let go to give me my helmet.
"I talked with them, I had coffee with them, I don't want to see them again. I did as you asked. Will you leave it now." He shoved his helped on
"Okay." I got on behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. Not how expected it to go, I'm not gonna lie.
