"...Will you marry me?" the world stopped, I was in this moment with Jack down on one knee holding out a ring. With one of the most important life changing decisions of anyone's life. Jackson, my Jackson had come so far for himself, Broadway, friends, love. A long way from the jackass that nearly broke my heart dancing with floozies and catching me using my powers on Jacob.
We both had, I often think what my life hadn't been like if I hadn't met him. If I hadn't watching him dancing with my now best friend, or if he hadn't stopped me walking out of the bunkhouse after carrying a watermelon. Would I be the person I am? I never thought so because I didn't see anyone one but Jack doing what he did.
"Ali."
"What?" I asked
"Will you marry me?" he looked even more nervous now. Did I leave him waiting...Oops.
"Yes, I will marry you." he breathed out a sigh of relief and took the ring from the box and slipped it onto my ring finger before standing up and kissing me.
"Scared you there didn't I?" I laughed
"Yeah, you did."We kissed and he slapped his hands round my waist. We ignored my phone ringing as we made our way to the bedroom.

My phone ringing woke me up the next morning. I groaned looking round and rubbing my eyes. Jack was still asleep. I got out of bed grabbing his discarded shirt and slipped it on heading to my phone.
"Hello?" I asked yawning.
"Allison Rose Cullen, I have been ringing you all night." It was Aunt Alice. I crouched down and opened the mini fridge door which housed blood bags.
"Hi Alice." I took one out and poured it into a mug then warmed it up in the microwave.
"Where have you been?" I smirked "Don't answer that." then put the kettle on making a drink of Jack as well.
"I hope you have some reason for waking me up at...6 am."
"He proposed ." She squealed. I stopped looking up from the magazine I was glazing over.
"How did you know that?"
"Because."
"No, I put a shield over Jack so yall don't screw with him."
" I know but he..."
"He what Alice?"
"He sort of came up here to talk to us and told us what he was doing."
"Did he now." the microwave dinged and the kettle boiled.
"So I have already had idea's for the wedding, I was thinking pastel blue and roses."
"Alice, I just got engaged like 10 hours ago. And I swear I'm not being rude but it's my wedding. Mine and Jack. Now I love you all but I am going back to bed with my fiancée and wedding prep will being when we're ready. Bye."
"Ali-" I hung up
"Freaking vampires. They have way too much time on their hands. I dropped the phone and finished the drinks taking them into our room. I put Jacks next to him and gave him a kiss. His eyes opened and he smiled
"Hey."
"Hey, yourself. Coffee?" He sat up and took the mug as I got back in beside him.
"You asked my father's permission?" I questioned he looked confused like how did you know that.
"Alice called, she's been calling all night infact. She told me you went to see them. Right before she started talking colour schemes." he laughed
"Well, even though I knew you wouldn't' care and they're still not your most favourite people in the world even though you've patched things up with them. It was the right thing to do."
"It's a father thing to do. My Dad didn't do it, though it was all the range when he was human. I took a sip of my blood.
"I love you." I told him
"I love you." He leant down and kissed me. I snuggled closer to him
"So your Aunt is already trying to plan the wedding." I laughed
"Yeah. The last wedding in our family was my parents. Mom asked her to plan it." We lapsed into a silence when I thought about broaching a subject with him.
"Jack."
"Hummm." he responded while playing with my fingers that weren't holding the cup
"I know we just got engaged. Obviously we haven't like gotten to planning yet but have you thought about your parents." He stopped
"My parents?" I sat up and looked at him
"Yeah. I know you haven't spoken to them in years. Not since you were sent to jail, but even if you don't invite them wouldn't it be at least ... nice? To at most let them know you're okay or you got your life on track or something? I'm not saying you have to, it was just a thought." he sighed and took my hand that held the engagement ring.
"My Nana, gave this to me. When I was telling her I was thinking of proposing, she took it off her finger and gave it to me."
"She did?"
"Yeah."
"Well it's beautiful and I love you both for it."

A few days later I sat at the dining table in Frances Castle's kitchen she was Jacks Grandma and she was a amazing as can be. Jack and Austin were outside working on Austin's truck.
"I'm so glad he's found you sweetie. You know at one point I never thought he would be sat on my couch talking about proposing." She handed me some coffee and sat down
"Thank you. He's great. We had a rocky start but I don't think I could be like this with anyone else."
"Have you thought about the wedding. When you want to have it?"
"I was thinking of the summer. Like when we first met. You know I realised the other day he proposed to me a year after we first met. Like the same day I saw him dancing with Melissa and when we talked for the first time."
"That's beautiful, honey."
"Yeah." I looked down
"Then why do you look so sad?" I looked back up at her.
"That summer changed everything for the both of us. He helped me in so many ways. It was like he started this chain reaction of falling dominos that helped heal me. I became more confident. I stood up for myself with my family. They changed their tune but it all started with him. Him and Mels. I keep thinking of that yet, he still changes the subject when I bring his parents up." Frances put her cup down.
"Ali, when my husband Johnny and I had Jack's Mom, I was young. We weren't even married yet and I was just starting college and he was stretching every pay check. It was difficult. Eventually we landed on our feet. But his Mom felt like she didn't have this security for the longest time. As she got older and we become for stable she still looked for someone to give her that. When she met Jack dad she was happy and we were happy. But he could be a little overbearing.
He had a hard time wrapping his head around Jacks problems, he himself had been through the sort of same and he tried to make Jacks life better shield him. But when Jack dropped out and started criminal activity. His father got mad. At him but mostly for himself because he just didn't know what to do. He clammed up and locked Jack out.
There is a lot of problems there they have to deal with themselves. As much as we want to they have to make the first step."
"But Jack's dad has had years to talk to him, to try and make things right. Why hasn't he?"
"He's stubborn. Most if not all men are to a certain degree. Women are we just handle it differently."
"Okay but if that's Jack's Dad what about his Mom Sarah?"
"She was hurt. She thought that Jack would come to her for anything. When he didn't and started doing his own thing the un wisest thing. She didn't know what to do. Weeks became months, months became years." She shrugged
"I wanna help him. Like he helped me. Do you think we could set up something here. Like a coffee morning or something."
"You sure you want to be going down this road. Jack won't like it."
"Not at first but even if it's a glaring match between them or insult throwing, or whatever. At least they will have spent 10 seconds to a minute in the same room than in what seven eight years." She looked hesitant.
"Please."
"Okay"
