(a/n: i know i told you i'll be posting nine chapters however i did not get to finish them. i actually just finished this chapter last night. please forgive me this time. okay this is the end of my update for this week!!!! yay!!!!)
"m-miss Catherine...."
"did I tell you to speak? Keep quiet and go ponder in the corner of your own wrong doing right now!!!"
"Cat?" I watch in the corner as Ryuuji approached Catherine, from the seriousness in his face I am positive that he's raging mad. Right now I need to stay in the background because my instincts tells me that since I caused Catherine's first drunken incident back on her birthday Ryuuji will surely vent his anger on me. Leon is still suffering the effect of his action and I barely managed to get away from Ryuuji's anger back then right now Ryuuji had surely elevated my name in the list of possible culprits so I got to lay low a bit.
"........." Catherine look at the approaching Ryuuji and somehow the area around them emits a tense air
"what are you doing Catherine?" Catherine tilts her head to the side as she continue to look at Ryuuji
"you" I swallowed air when Catherine points a finger at Ryuuji "bow down before me" aiyah!!!!!! She said it
"are you drunk Cat?"
"you dare to call me that?" Ryuuji continued to advance until he's standing in front of Catherine "what are you doing?" Catherine lean back as Ryuuji bend down to sniff her
"I can't sme---urk" I look to the side when Catherine suddenly slapped Ryuuji "bastard you dare to sniff me up" I did not see that, I did not hear that.
"oh no!! miss Catherine slapped president"
"are they fighting?"
"miss Catherine's queenly attitude is so moe"
"I want to be slapped by miss Catherine" I scratched my head as I heard the conversations around me
I touched the cheek that Catherine had slapped as I look at her prideful look. The last time I saw her drunk she keep on talking and talking about some heroine, now that she's drunk again, she acts like a queen. but the most amazing thing is that even though Catherine was drunk she doesn't look like one at all. This girl is scary when she's drunk, she's even more unpredictable than when she's sober
"cat, you're starting a commotion" I need to get her out of here if the teachers learns that she's drunk she might be suspended. So far I could trust our classmates when it comes to Catherine's well-being but with the outsiders pouring in it'll be difficult to shut their mouth.
"you're a persistent one. Do you think that with your crappy arrogant attitude I would just submit to you like that" she even snapped to make a point "too naïve" looks like handling this drunk Catherine will be more troublesome than the drunk talkative her.
"I see then if normal talk wouldn't work"
"what are you doing? Let me down!!!!!" I ignore her cries and her struggle as I carry her in my arms "I did not give you any permission to hold you commoner!!!!"
"do you really want to struggle cat?" I asked in a threatening tone she only glare at me and to my surprise she suddenly put her arms around me and before I could react she gave me a head-butt, using that momentary distraction she leap off my arms as she stands while looking down on me.
Aiyah!!!! I shake my head as I watch how Catherine looks down on president Ryuuji, I wonder if this action of hers would affect president Ryuuji's reputation?
"so fierce! Miss Catherine, taking in president Ryuuji just like that"
"whoa....this production by section one is really realistic, they even managed to make the president and vice-president do an act!"
"miss Catherine is my new idol!"
I guess I should be happy that everyone around us thinks it's some kind of a play or else the student council will really suffer a big blow
"little pig, dare to touch me just like that! you should know your place!" Catherine turn to one of our classmates "you get me an alcohol, I must make sure that his touch would not infect me!" when I look at Ryuuji I immediately hide behind one of our classmates, his face......his face looks terrifying. Ryuuji must've reach his limit already Catherine RUN!!!!!
"what? You want more little pig?" I cover my eyes when Ryuuji grab Catherine's hand, as I peek through my fingers I saw him pull her up until Catherine is inside Ryuuji's arms "let go off me!!!" Catherine tried to kick him but Ryuuji's left foot intercepted it, when it did not work Catherine tried to do another head-butt but instead Ryuuji met it head on then suddenly he slightly turn his head and the most unexpected thing happened............ their lips touched! What the heck!!!!! I look at them with wide eyes and mouth open as Ryuuji kissed Catherine in front of everybody
"oh my god!!!!"
"holy hell!!!!"
"miss Catherine!!!"
"kyaah!!!!!!!!"
I heard the comments and gasp of the people around but I remain standing in place feeling the shock and surprised of Ryuuji's action. He.....he....just kissed Catherine!!!!. I continued to look as Ryuuji raise his right hand and he effortlessly deliver a karate chop on Catherine's neck. The result was that Catherine immediately went limp in Ryuuji's arms, looks like she passed out. Ryuuji catches Catherine before she could slump on the floor as he carry her in his arms he then face the shocked crowd and he delivers a smile.
"thank you for watching that surprised small skit of ours. I hope you enjoy the school festival" he even gave a cursory bow
"so that's really a performance?"
"it was so great!!! I love the kiss at the end" everyone around me are clapping their hands as they gave out side comments. Give it to the king of hers to be able to deliver a straight lie without blinking. Catherine, you were caught by a scary perso—I swallowed air when Ryuuji suddenly look in my direction how the heck did he find me??? he slightly inclined his head to the door, telling me to go out.
I watched as Ryuuji gently placed Catherine on the sofa, after making sure that Catherine is alright, Ryuuji then turn to look at me.
"tell me the details" I somehow have the urge to loosen my tie, I feel suffocated
"well....i don't actually have no idea because I left Catherine there for thirty minutes an—"
"get straight to the point Kana"
"presidentJansengaveherbonbonsandCatherineateallofthembutsincethechocolatecontainsalcoholshegotdrunk" I said in one breathing
"hmm....." I continued to watch Ryuuji as he walk over to his desk then he grab the phone and dial "hello.....yes, get me to the Board chairman" I watch in shock as he casually talk in the phone "hello....yes.....everything's okay. about that, I want to add a new clause on the security protocol submitted by president Clyde, add a line that states Chocolates shall not be allowed inside the Academy's premises without being checked by security and any chocolate with alcohol content in it shall be immediately disposed off. Yes, I want it incorporated immediately" he said he want to talk with the board chairman right? and his tone is the same as that of a boss talking to his subordinate! What a scary guy.
"that.....president you cou—"
"starting from tomorrow onward there will be a strict monitoring of chocolates inside the Academy" my jaw drop from his words I could actually understood it already after hearing his conversation on the phone but hearing it directly is still too shocking. Catherine I'll just pray for your soul in the sidelines
Ehh??? What am I doing in my room??? I look at my window and saw that outside had gotten dark. I immediately look at my alarm clock that is sitting on my bed side table and saw that it's already eleven in evening. What happened why am I home? And why do my head hurts? What happened after Kana left me in our section?
"what happened today?!!!!!!"
"Catherine!!!!!" I swayed unsteadily when father immediately hugged me just after I reach the landing "that demonic brat sent you home again. Can't you just kicked him and stay away from him" since my head still hurts and I feel a little bit dizzy I did not actually get a word father said. All his talk only resemble some sort of buzzing sound in my ears
"Jirou stop that can't you see that Catherine can't even focus" I almost wept in relief when mother took me away from father. "are you okay now Catherine?" I nodded as my gaze started to regain its focus.
"seriously that brat must've done something to Catherine, this is the second time that he brought Catherine home drunk" I look at father in shock
"what did you said father? Me drunk?" I did not even remember consuming any alcohol yesterday so how did I became drunk?
"Catherine, tell is that demonic brat black mailing into doing something bad?"
"demonic brat?"
"it's the Ryuuji guy" father spat with so much hatred "tell if that guy is doing something bad I will expel him from the Academy!"
"not really, so far Ryuuji had been treating me nice this past few days" he suddenly started being talkative and somehow he even smile and he'd been trusting real work to me. Ryuuji, being nice is a scary thing it's as if it's a calm before a storm. I shudder at my thought
"so far? Does that mean that brat hadn't been treating you good? I'm going to hack him to death"
"Jirou!"
"he's not trea—"
"you're not allowed to hack anyone to death. go upstairs already and get ready to make me more money"
"dear....." father said in a pleading tone, somehow I could see puppy eyes, droopy ears and wagging tail on father. At times like this I could clearly see the hierarchy in our home.
"stop dear-ing me to the office already and take home a hundred million deal" father with eyes full of despair and grievances head to the stairs. "Jirou"
"hmmm??" father asked gloomily
"make your lunch free, I want us to go out and have lunch together"
"y-yes" ah father's dog ears suddenly straightened up and his drooping tail is wagging excitedly
"so you must makes sure that you've done your work" mother gave father a sweet smile
"yes of course! I'll head to work immediately!" waah.....father is so weak when it comes to mother. Father do your best, it's better this way than you, walking on the dark side. I silently cheer father in my heart as I watch him.
"now then Catherine" I quickly look at mother and when I saw her wide smile dread immediately filled me "I received high accolades from your piano teacher"
"t-thank you mother"
"I guess it's finally time for you to graduate from that. as for your arts and flower arranging classes" mother sigh and I winced, I really have no talent in that area. I mean I can't even properly mix color plus I have no concept of 'lighting' in my painting and worst is that aside from that I have no patience to memorize every variety of flowers out there. "I already gave up on that so this Saturday is the end of your tutorials" I mentally did a happy dance "but....." here it goes mother's well-known carrot and stick tactic "you will be having a one on one study period with me"
"........."
"getting drunk just because of bonbons is a big deal Catherine"
"bonbons?" president Jansen gave me a box and I remember eating all of it aaah!!!! Could it be? Kana had warned me before about it but it slipped my mind
"I know it's not appropriate for you to drink at your age but from the report given to me by Ryuuji your low tolerance in alcohol is a bit.......anyway getting drunk with fruit punch containing small amount of alcohol and bonbons is something that should be in the realm of impossibility considering both your paternal and maternal side of the family are all heavy drinkers!"
"mother I'm still a minor"
"minor or not, you're already fifteen years old! And this training is for your own good" mother grab me by my shoulders "you will be learning how to increase your alcohol tolerance starting this Saturday" I gulped in fear.
"Catherine, are you okay?" I look at Hugh before hugging him "what's the matter?"
"did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed Catherine?" I glare at Alexie
"are not feeling good? If you want we'll turn back home" I shake my head as Mason pat me on the head. Gram is with father so only the three of them are guarding me today
"i had to go even though it's the second day of the cultu—" I stop and I quickly raise my head as I look at my bodyguards "ah!!!"
"what?" the three of them asked
"do you any idea what happened to me yesterday?"
"yesterday? You mean when you passed out after being drunk"
"yes!"
"I don't know the exact details and Mason is out talking with Gram on the phone so I guess, Alexie, you know what happened? you were the one who went inside yesterday"
"well, according to some of the students I asked, you were doing a skit with the president before he take you inside the student council office"
"skit? What skit? I don't remember any skit!"
"however, from the testimony of miss Kana she just suddenly found you drunk when she returned back to your section and in the midst of your act of enslaving your male classmates president Ryuuji came and get you of the room by using the excuse of performing some skit. Basically I can't give you a concrete walk through of what happened to you yesterday" looks like I have to ask Kana myself
"then we're you the one who sent me home?" but from father's words a while ago......
"that......it was young master Ryuuji who sent you home. I actually tried to take you from his arms but his eyes are telling me that if I so much as suggest to take you home I will end up in the gutter with a slit throat" I winced at Alexie's description.
"since young master is quite adamant that he will send you home we have no choice but to just let him" Hugh explained
"don't worry we convoyed yesterday and young master Ryuuji even received a kick after master took you away from his young master's arms"
"young master Ryuuji is really something, he constantly received hits and kicks from master but he just take it like a man. Catherine, I like him, he's got guts"
"oh....."
"if you two date I will surely make sure that master Jirou will not kno—ouch what the heck Hugh!"
"if you still want to live better shut your mouth Alexie"
"there will be no date or anything. Ryuuji already has a fiancée"
"aren't you his fiancée?"
"of course not!" I denied vehemently, like I would be his fiancée!
