"Wh-what are you doing here?" He stutters. "We needed to see you." Another voice says. I hear Alec take a deep breath. "Alec who is it?" I ask getting closer until I was behind him. He jumps and spins on his heels, he then looks over his shoulder back at the door. He then steps aside. His face was panicked and flustered.
An elderly couple, probably mid 50s stood at the door. "Hi." I say shyly, the woman gives me a quick scan and then she smiles. "Hello." She says. "Hello." The man, I assumed he was her husband, says. Alec gulps. "Olivia, meet Jenny and Luke. Brooks' parents." Alec says still stunned. I was just as stunned as he was. Brook, Alec's dead mate Brook. What were they doing here? Why were they even here? I shake the thought out of my head and I give them a smile. "Nice to meet you both." I say. "You too." Jenny says. "It's late. Come in." I say elbowing Alec so he steps aside. They come in closing the door behind them. Alec was still silent. The house was silent. "Would you like a tea?" I ask. "Thank you." Jenny says. We all walk in to the kitchen, I switch the kettle on. Alec, Jenny and Luke all sit around the table. I walk over to the cupboard and I get four mugs. "So how've you been?" Jenny asks Alec. "Okay." Alec says. "It's been a while." Luke says. "I know." Alec says. "You look really well." Jenny smiles. "Thank you." Alec says. It was obvious he was still in complete shock. "Do you both take sugar and milk?" I ask. "Two and a little bit of milk for us." Luke says. "Okay." I smile.
I place the tea's on the coffee table and I sit beside Alec. "Alec, we're sorry." Luke says. "You were hurting as well. And we should of been there for you." Jenny says. Alec was silent, he then nods his head. "I've got a question for you both." Alec says. "Anything." Jenny says. Alec takes a deep breath. I squeeze his hand reassuringly. "Why wasn't I allowed to go?" He says. "It was a difficult time for us. We were mad an-" Jenny begins to say before being cut off by Luke. "Goodness Jenny. We've come all the way here for a reason, how long do we have to keep up this charade!?" He exclaims. "What do you mean? What charade?" Alec asks confused. Jenny looks at Luke, her face filled with panic. "Brook and the children did not die in the crash like you thought they did. In fact they didn't die at all." Luke says looking at Alec. I feel Alec stiffen, his entire body went cold. "The car did crash but it was a miracle they all survived. You and Brook were in a bad place and she needed a way ou-" Jenny says before being cut off by Alec. "Please, stop talking." He says in a tone I've never heard before. He sounded as if he was threatening and warning them to disappear before he explodes. "Leave." Alec says. "But Alec. Let me explain." Jenny says. "Leave now!" He roars, his voice echoes through the house, he slams his fist on to the coffee table and it breaks, the glass that was on the table shattered against the floor causing me to flinch, the mugs were smashed and there was tea all over the floor. Jenny and Luke quickly leave before Alec done something much worse. I hear the door slam, I thought I had moved out of the seat but my body was still in the chair. "Alec." I say hesitantly. He looks up at me, his eyes dark. "Olivia. I'm sorry." Alec says sincerely. "Daddy?" Eli says standing at the door rubbing his eyes yawning. Alec quickly spins around. "Are you okay daddy?" Eli asks. "Sure bud, I'm sorry for all the noise son." Alec says walking over to him. "Its okay." Eli yawns. Alec lifts him up. "Daddy you're bleeding." Eli says taking his hand. "I'll be okay." He smiles. The door knocks again. Alec freezes. He puts Eli down. "Eli go to mommy okay." He says. "Okay." Eli says running over to me. I take him and hold him tight. I cover his ears. Alec storms over to the door. "I thought I told you to le-." He says opening the door, he stops mid-sentence. "Hi Alec." A different voice says. "What the fuck!" He shouts. "Please don't cause a scene Alec. They can see you." The woman's voice says. "Mommy is daddy okay?" Eli asks me. I look over at the door. Alec was completely still. His mouth was open wide, as if.. He had seen a ghost. I have a feeling I know who it is, actually I knew. I could see it in Alec's face. I had no business going over to them though. Did I? "Dad?" Jett says, it sounded as if he was on the stairs. "Uncle Alec?" River says. Alec looks over his shoulder. "Sorry about the noise kids." He smiles. "Are you okay?" Jade asks, her voice was shaky. "Yeah I'm fine. Sorry guys, Jett take them in to the living room and go check on your mom and brother they're in there already." Alec says. "Okay dad." Jett says. He comes in to the living room with River and Jade. "Jett who is it?" Eli says. "I don't know. Some lady." Jett says shrugging as they all sit on the sofa. He grabs the remote and switches on the tv. "Are you okay Jade?" I ask. She nods. "He sounded scary." Jade says. "My daddy isn't scary, he was just really mad." Eli says. "He's okay Eli." I smile. "Is he?" Jett asks unconvinced. "Is he what?" Alec says causing us all to jump. "Are you okay daddy?" Eli asks. Alec smiles. "I will be bud, I'm gonna need you boys help though." Alec says. "Of course." They say smiling. "Babe can we talk?" Alec says. I know what he's going to say before he has even said it. I put Eli beside Jett and we walk out to the landing. "It's her right?" I ask him. "Right." He sighs. "But why?" I ask. Alec shrugs. "I can't face her alone, please. Come in there with me Olivia." Alec looks at me, his eyes filled confusion, hurt and most importantly anger. "Are you sure?" I ask. He nods. We walk in to his office, she was standing looking at his photos. "You've changed the room around." She says. "Don't." Alec says in a cold tone. She turns around to face us both. "I don't know where to start? How to even explain?" She says. "Why?" He says. "C'mon Alec, we wasn't working. You had just became Alpha." She says. "That's not an excuse brook! You could of just left! Not fucking fake your death as well as my fucking children! Fuck you brook, I couldn't give a fuck if you died but my children!" Alec roars. She winces. "You and I both know you wouldn't of just let me leave, even if I wanted to Alec! Let alone take Jayson and Summer with me, when the car crashed I just bolted. It was my only chance." She says. "Your only chance? To do fucking what? You make it seem like I was a fucking monster. So you faked your death. You made me believe that my first love had died in a crash not only her but with my two children. My first son and my first daughter. You made me mourn something that wasn't even real! For six fucking years Brook!" Alec screams. "Alec." I say, he looks over at me and he takes a deep breath. "Why are you here Brook?" Alec asks in a calmer tone. "I came to apologise, for everything. I should of handled it all better. I was young and stupid and I panicked." She says. "Right now your apology isn't good enough. What the actual fuck brook? I've missed six years of their life. Six fucking years Brook." Alec says getting angry again. Light taps on the door stopped all discussion, I walked over to the door. It was Jett. "You okay sweetheart?" I ask. "Mom, someone's at the door again." He says. I look over my shoulder and I nod at Alec. He gives me a small smile just before I close the office door, I walk over to the front door pulling it open.
A boy stood in front of me, he had brown hair, his eyes were a mixture of blue and hazel. He had a lot of similarities to Alec and Eli, even Colton. Beside him he held the hand of a younger girl. She had brown hair that fell to her shoulders and blue eyes. "Hello." I say looking at them both. The girl blushes, the boy looks up to me. "Hello ma'am. Our mom came in here a while ago. But my sister and I need to use the bathroom." He says. "Jett go in to the living room with your brother and your cousins okay." I say looking over my shoulder. "Sure mom." He says walking in to the living room. "What are your names?" I ask them, I already knew who they were I just wanted to confirm I was seeing straight. "My name is Jayson and this is my little sister Summer-Mia." Jayson says. "Okay Jayson and Summer. I'll show you where the bathroom is." I say smiling. I lead them to the bathroom and I wait for them. I pop my head in to the twins room, they were both awake, standing in their cots. "Sorry about the noise babies." I say walking over to them. I lift them both out and place them on each hip. I carry them on to the landing just as the bathroom door opened. They both walked out and they look at the twins. "Hey Jay, he looks a little like you." Summer says as we walk down the stairs. Jayson looks at Colton and he smiles. "He kind of does. She looks abit like you." He shrugs as we walk down the stairs. Its not my place to say anything. I say to myself. "Jayy do we have to go back in the car with grandma and grandpa? It's so boringg, we've been in the car ages!" Summer whines. "Quit whining summer, we gotta wait in the car for mom." Jayson says. "But." Summer says. "If you want, you can go in to the living room, my boys are in there watching tv with their cousins and I can let your mom know." I say smiling. I'm pretty sure Alec will calm down once he knows they're here in the house. They both look at me. "Okay." They nod. I lead them in to the living room. "Jett, Eli, River and Jade. This is Jayson and Summer, they're gonna watch TV with you okay?" I say. "Sure thing is dad okay mom?" Jett asks. "Yeah. He is." I say walking over to the play pen. I put down Chloe and I carry Colton to the changing mat, I lay him down and quickly change his diaper. I put the dirty one in a nappy sack and then I put him in his play pen. I done the same thing with Chloe and placed her back in her play pen.
I walked in to the kitchen and put the rubbish in the bin. I wasn't going to make the twins their bottles yet, I didn't want to risk Alec waking them up again. I stood on the landing and looked in to the living room, they were all watching TV. I knocked on the Alec's office door before walking in. They were still bickering, I cleared my throat. "Who was it at the door babe?" Alec asks. "Jayson and Summer, they needed to use the bathroom so I let them. They're in the living room watching TV with the kids." I say. "You have more kids Alec?" Brook asks. "Four." He says dismissively. "Did you say they were in the living room?" Alec says standing up. I nod. He bolts out the office leaving me and Brook alone. "You must think I'm a terrible person." She says. "I do. You are a terrible person, you don't know what you put him through.. But it's not place to say." I say. She sighs. But I couldn't shut up. I was so angry! "You made him believe that his mate and his kids were dead. You've kept them away from him for all these years. He has mourned for them, he missed their birthdays, Christmas. I don't think you understand at all how fucked up that was. How fucked up this is!" I shout. "I get it! I said I'm sorry! I can't change the past. It's happened. We're here now you know!" She says. "Why are you here!?" I ask. "Jayson and Summer turned 9 and 7." She says. "So after all these years your guilty conscience has finally caught up with you." I snarl. "Listen, Olivia is it? I don't know what the hell was going through my head back then. Alec and I were in a bad place and when the car crashed I panicked and fled, then it was too late, he was told and I needed a fresh start so that's what I done for my children. As a mother you should understand." She says. "As a mother? As a mother I understand needing a fresh start. But I wouldn't fake ANY of my children's death for all these years because of a 'bad place' that your relationship was in." I say. "I know. The damage has been done, I couldn't go back on it, even though I want to. " She says. I shake my head and I begin walking out the room "Olivia?" She calls. I turn around. "Yes?" I say. "I'm sure you understand right? I mean you left your mate with your son." She says in a snarky tone. The nerve of this woman! "You know nothing about me so don't ever assume. What you done was completely wrong! You made Alec believe you were all dead. For years! Do not ever compare me to you Brook. You are in the wrong. You emotionally tortured him for six years." I say leaving Brook sitting in the office. I was pissed. How dare she! I shook my head and I followed the sound of laughter that lead me to the living room, I stood in the door way, watching them.
Alec had hold of Colton while Summer and Jade sat on the floor playing with Chloe. "I've always wanted a little sister." She beams at Alec. Chloe giggles as they played pat-a-cake together. "Mommy!" Eli calls over running over to me. Alec looks over at me, his eyes lit with pure and utter happiness, he was in a total bliss. Which made me wonder. What happens now? Where do we all go from here? Do we move Alec's not dead technical mate and children in with us? I shook the thought out of my head. Alec. I sigh and I lift Eli up, I plaster a smile on my face. "Mommy." Eli says again snapping me out of my thoughts. "Yes Eli." I say looking in to his blue eyes. "Guess what daddy told us?" He asks. "What did daddy tell you baby?" I ask him shocked. "He said I've got an even bigger brother and sister." He says pointing at Jayson and Summer. "That's so cool." I smile. "I know!" He beams. Jett, River and Jayson were sitting on the sofa watching TV together and laughing. Summer was laying on her stomach beside Jade and in front of Chloe playing peek-a-boo. Alec was still sat in the same place holding Colton watching his daughters play together. I never realised it until they were in front of me together, they were completely identical. Chloe is just a smaller version. Colton laid his head on Alec's chest, Alec hugged him. I carry Eli further in to the living room and I sit in between Jett and Alec. "This seems like a dream." Alec says to me. "I bet." Was all I could say, I had no words. I was just as shell-shocked and still pissed at the nerve of Brook. He leans over and kisses my cheek. I smile and I look up at the clock. It was almost two in the morning. The twins are going to be so miserable when they wake up. They all will. Even Alec. I sigh. I stand up and I put Eli down in the space that I had left and then I walk in to the kitchen. Alec still hadn't cleaned the broken table. I walk over to the cupboard and I pull out two clean bottles. A blue one for Colton and a pink one for Chloe. I place them on the side and I walk over to the fridge opening it. I grab their milk and I put it on the side. "I will clean that up later okay?" Alec says from the door way causing me to jump. "How long have you been there?" I ask him. "A while." He chuckles, then he stopped. "Long enough to realise that something is bothering you. I know you are just as confused as I am." He says taking a step closer. "I don't know what to say?" I say honestly, I turn to the kitchen side and I pour some milk in to both bottles. I place them both in the microwave and I switch it on for less than a minute. I open the microwave and I take the bottles, I leave them both on the side to cool. "Babe?" Alec asks rather than says. I turn and face him, he was now a few feet away from me. "What do I do?" He asks me. "I don't know Alec." I say honestly. "I'm gonna get in touch with a lawyer. See if we can set up a custody agreement. I can't move them both in without moving Brook in. In all honesty Liv, I fucking hate the sight of her." He says. "This goes way beyond me Alec, I really can't tell you what to do." I say. "You're my wife Olivia." Alec says. "But this is something I really just don't know how to handle expecting to handle." I say. "I know, it's crazy babe. I'm going to let Jayson and Summer stay here for a night or two. Brook and her parents can go stay at hotel and I will go to my lawyers tomorrow." Alec says. "Whatever you feel is best Alec." I say smiling. He kisses my cheek. "This is all so unreal." Alec says. "I know." I mumble. Alec puts the lids on both the bottles and shakes them. I noticed his hands were still bleeding. "Let me fix it." I say looking at him. He smiles. I take him over to the sink. "Hop on to the counter." I instruct him. He smiles and does that. I walk over to the cupboard and bring out a first aid box. I walk back over to him and place it on the other side of the sink. I switch the cold water on and I take his hands and I quickly check if there is any bits of glass. I use the tweezers to pull them out. "Ouch." He growls. "Not my fault you wanted to be incredible hulk and smash the glass and the coffee table." I say. "Sorry." He apologises. "It's okay." I smile and I give him a quick peck on his lips. I finish taking the small bits out and then I place his hands under the cold tap. He winces at first but then he leaves them there. I switch the water off and I dry his hands with a clean tea towel. I get a square plaster to cover the open cuts and then I bandage his hands. "I think I done pretty well." I smile proudly. "Sure did babe." He says jumping off the side. He turns to fave me and then he kisses my lips. "Alec." A voice said from the door. We both turned around, Brook stood there, sad. "I thought you had left" He says. "I understand you hate me." She says. "You don't understand Brook. You really don't know how much I want to rip your fucking throat out with my bare hands. But. Jayson and Summer along with my own kids are here and I don't want to cause a scene. Leave now I'll text you the plan tomorrow." He says. "My number is on the counter." She says sliding a piece of torn paper on the counter. She walks out the kitchen and calls Jayson and Summer. I hear them go out and I hear her tell them they're staying here and that she'll see them tomorrow. They dismiss her and I hear them run back in to the living room. I hear her sigh and then the door close. Alec turns to look at me. "I really hate her." He says. "I bet." Was all I could say.
Alec had cleaned up his mess and placed them in black bags. "I'll put the twins to bed." I say taking the bottles. "I'll sort Eli." He says. We both nod and walk out the kitchen and in to the living room. Summer, Jade and Chloe were still on the floor she was smitten with her. Jayson had taken Colton and sat him on his lap next to Jett, River and Eli. "Alright. Bed time for everyone." Alec says. He lifts Chloe off the floor and hands her to me. "Um Olivia, can I help put Chloe to bed?" Summer asks. Alec looks over his shoulder as he lifts Colton up. "Sure." I say. I notice Alec's beam. He lifts up Eli with his other arm. He carries him and Colton upstairs. "Can Jayson stay in my room with me and River?" Jett asks. "Sure but it's bed time." Alec says. "Okay dad." Jett says rolling his eyes. I carry Chloe up the stairs, Summer and Jade follow behind us carrying the bottles. Alec puts Colton in his crib while I take Chloe to her changing mat. I change her diaper and I put her onesie back on her. I put her in Summer's arms, she was sitting on the rocking chair. Summer hands Chloe her the pink bottle. I take Colton and I do the same thing. Alec kisses their heads and I kiss Eli and Alec carries him out switching the light off as he leaves. Jade had gone to her bed. I switch the nightlight on and I lay Colton in his crib. I prop him up with a pillow and I hand him his bottle. I watch over him as he drinks it. "How old is Chloe and Colton?" Summer asks. "Two." I say smiling. "And Eli and Jett?" She asks. "Jett is almost six and Eli is three." I say. She smiles. "I've only got two brothers." She says. "Two?" I ask. She nods. "Jayson and Benji. You haven't met him yet, he's five, he's at home with Blake." She says. "Blake?" I ask. She nods again. "My mommy's boyfriend." She says. "Oh." I say. I felt relieved in a way. At least she wasn't after Alec? I doubt that, she is a bitch. I shake the thought out of my head and I look down at Colton. He was asleep. I remove the pillow from under him slowly and I take the bottle from beside him and I gently sweep his hair out of his face. "She's asleep." Summer whispers. I turn around and I walk over to them. I lift Chloe out of Summer's arms and I carry her to her crib. I lay her down and cover half her body. Summer stands up and we walk out. I close their door a little. "Do I have to sleep alone? I'm scared" She asks me looking up at me with her big and bright blue eyes. "You wanna sleep in our room?" I ask. She nods smiling. "I'm sure Al- your father will be fine with that." I say smiling.
I open my bedroom door. Alec wasn't in there, I assumed he was still with Eli. I walk over to my drawers and I get out a nightie and a pair of bottoms, they were big but it was all I had. I hand it to Summer. She walks in to the bathroom. I was already in pyjamas so I climbed in to my bed. Alec pushes open the door and walks in. "What a night." He sighs. "I know." I say. "Where's summer?" He asks. "She's in the bathroom. She said she was scared to sleep by herself so I said she can sleep in our bed." I say. "Wow, she's really warming up to you." He says. I shrug. "She's really smitten with Chlo as well." He says. "Yeah, she mentioned about having another brother. And Brook's partner." I say. He shrugs and climbs in to bed. "I couldn't care less Olivia. You really don't need to worry. I've only got eyes for you." He says kissing my head. The bathroom door opens and Summer walks out. She notices Alec and she blushes shyly. She walks over to the bed and climbs in the middle. She doesn't say a word but she hugs Alec tight. He smiles and kisses her forehead. She closes her eyes and soon falls asleep on Alec's chest. I switched off the lamp and soon enough I had fallen asleep too.
The next day
I woke up with Summer wrapped around me, I squinted my eyes adjusting it to the light. I carefully removed her arms and her legs and climbed out of bed. She rolled over, still asleep. She wrapped herself around Alec, he was still asleep too. I grabbed my towel and a tracksuit. I walked in to the bathroom. I ran the shower and climbed in. I washed my hair and then washed my body, I stood in the shower a moment in a silent bliss. I let the water run across my body. I tilt my head with my eyes closed and I let the water run down my temples. I stayed like that for a moment before switching off the water and climbing out. I dried myself and put on the tracksuit. I dried my hair a little with the towel and let it fall damp down my back.
The house was completely silent. I carried my bag, keys and phone downstairs. I put on my trainers and my coat then I walked out the front door. I climbed in my car and pulled out of the driveway, once the house was out of sight I dialled Hailey's number. She picked up instantly. "This better be important." She says in a groggy tone. "Where do I start? Alec's dead mate and kids aren't actually dead. They turned up last night." I say. "WHAT!" Hailey shouts. She was definitely awake now. "What the fuck Olivia? How?" She asks me. Then I explain everything to her. "Fuck that's crazy Olivia. How do you feel?" She asks. "I don't know." I say truthfully. Because. I didn't know. "I would of smacked that bitch." Hailey says. I giggle. "How dare she! Who does she think she is?" Hailey says. "I know right." I say driving. "Where are you going?" Hailey asks. "I was gonna go and grab breakfast at the diner." I say. "I'll be ready in five." She says. "On my way." I say hanging up. I take a left instead of a right and I begin driving to Haileys.
I pull up at her house and then I text her telling her I was outside. She runs out quickly and climbs in to the car. Hailey was wearing a grey tracksuit, her hair was tied up in a messy bun. "Morning." I smile. "How are you even smiling?" She grumbles. "I think I'm still in shock." I shrug. "I bet." She says "That's all I could say yesterday." I chuckle. "Olivia." She says in a stern tone. I begin driving. "Okay, okay. Yes. I am pissed off and confused. What the hell Hailey?" I say. "I really don't even know how I can help." She says. "There's nothing you can say, we both know this is a completely fucked up situation." I say. She nods. "I remember, when we found out I was pregnant with Eli, he had a literal breakdown. It was meant to be the happiest time in our relationship, a milestone. My second child after my first amazing son. Instead it brought up memories of his dead children. I've had to deal with a lot, daily. Even before Eli. Jett reminded him of the son he never had. All to find out that it was fucking fake. That they aren't even dead. That the times which we were supposed to be happy were in fact the worst. I'm not mad at the kids, they're both beautiful amazing children. But I really fucking hate their mother." I say. "It's understandable Olivia. So what happens now?" Hailey asks. "Alec's gonna go to a lawyers today to see if they can set up some custody plan." I say. "So he doesn't want to take them full time?" She asks. "I think if Alec was younger he would've, It's been six years Hailey, I think he understands that even though he hates her he can't take them away from her. To them he's a stranger." I say. "It makes sense." She says. I pull up outside and we sit there for a moment. "This is crazy." Hailey says. "I know. But I know Alec's not gonna go into this without being careful." I say. She nods. We get out the car and we walk in to the diner and head over to the counter. The waitress greets me with a smile. "The usual big order twice to go and I'll take a latte while I wait." I say smiling at her. She nods and smiles. She writes it down on a piece of paper and hands it to the cook. "I'll take two traditional full english breakfast's and a kids breakfast. Also a hot chocolate and a coffee to go. Can I have a latte while I wait as well." Hailey says. The waitress nods her head and smiles. She hands the cook the paper and she makes our latte's and brings it over to us. I sit on the stool and slowly I drink my drink. I really didn't know what was going on in my head. I was so confused. Absolutely baffled. I kept replaying last night in my head. I needed a break. The thought of what Brook down to get a break caused me to shake my head. What the fuck? How the fuck? My phone causes me to snap back to reality. I answer it without checking the ID. "Babe." Alec's voice says worried. "Good morning." I say. "Are you okay? Where are you?" He asks worried. "I'm fine, I'm just at the diner grabbing everyone breakfast." I say. "Oh." He says relieved. "Are you okay?" I ask him. "Just tired." He says. "Who's awake?" I ask him. "Just me, Jade and Summer at the minute. The twins, Eli and the boys are still asleep." He says. "Oh, what are you guys doing?" I ask him. "Watching a documentary about frank sinatra." He says. "Pause it I'm on my way." Okay babe. Love you." He chuckles. "I love you too." I say hanging up. "Alec?" Hailey asks. I nod. "He panicked when he woke up and thought you had left him." She says. "Yep." I say. "What are you guys doing today?" She asks. "Nothing. Everyone didn't sleep until late, Alec, Jade and Summer are the only one's awake watching tv." I say. "Alright. I'm gonna give you a call later." She says. The waitress comes over and hands us our take away bags. We pay for them and she hands me the change. We walk out the diner and we get back in to the car. I drive Hailey home and then I begin driving back to the house.
I pull in to the drive way and I park the car. Alec stands by the door smiling, he walks over to the car and opens the passenger door. He takes all the bags in to the house. I climb out and I follow behind him. Before we enter he kisses me and we both walk in to the house. We walk in to the kitchen and he places the bag on the counter. I switch on the kettle and I grab six mugs, I make six hot chocolates and I put whipped cream and marshmallows on the top. I sprinkle chocolate over the marshmallows and I place it on the kids table. Alec dishes out breakfast just as the sound of footsteps fill the house. Jett, Jayson, River, Jade, Summer and Eli all run in to the kitchen. "Good morning." They all chime. "Morning kids." Alec and I both say. They take their breakfast and they sit at the kids table and begin eating in a comfortable silence. "I'll go get the twins." Alec says. "I'll make their breakfast." I say walking over to the cupboard. I grab two bowls and I make them both porridge, I place the bowls on to their high chairs and then I sit on the island chair beside the counter and I eat my pancakes. "Mom." Jett says jumping on the island chair beside me. "Yes sweetie." I say ruffling his hair. "Can me and River show Jayson the game room?" He asks. "Sure honey. Don't have it up to loud though or you won't be able to hear your dad." I say. Jett nods. "Okay mom." He smiles jumping off the chair. Jayson walks in carrying all the rubbish. "I cleaned the table ma'am." He says shyly. "Her name's not ma-am its mom!" Eli giggles. I chuckle. "You don't need to call me Ma'am Jayson. You can call me Olivia or Liv." I say smiling. He smiles and puts the rubbish in the bin. "Jett go and get the mugs." I say. He nods and runs to their table. Jayson sits on the chair beside me. "Are you okay?" I ask him. He smiles and nods. "I'm okay." He says. "Good." I smile. "Thank you for letting me and my sister stay." He says. "There is no need to thank me, your dad has really missed you both, he wanted you to stay." I say smiling. "My dad. This is all so weird. This house, it seems like I know it. But it's different. I have three new brothers, one new sister and two new cousins I didn't know about." He says truthfully. "I know. It's crazy" I agree. "Is he okay?" Jayson asks. I chuckle. "Yeah, your dad is a great man, you know you have a pretty big family, more cousins, uncles, aunts." I say smiling. "Wow." He says. "Yeah. They're all really nice people. You'll love them." I say smiling. He smiles nervously. Jett walks in carrying the mugs. He places them on the side. "Ready Jay?" Jett says standing at the door with River. Jayson smiles at him and jumps off the chair. "Thank you." He says quickly hugging me before he follows Jett down to the game room.
Alec walks in carrying the twins, he places them both in their high chairs and he straps them both in. "Morning babies." I say kissing them both. "Mommy!" They say excitedly. I hand them both their spoons and they begin eating. Alec sits on the island chair beside me and he begins eating his breakfast. "How are you today?" He asks me. "I'm okay. How do you feel?" I say smiling. "Still shocked. It seems all unreal" He says honestly shrugging. I nod. Alec's phone begin to ring. "Pops." He says as he answers. He walks out the room and I hear his office door close. "Whose pops?" Summer asks as she walks in to the kitchen. Eli giggles. "Pops is grandpa." He says smiling. "Ohh." She says. "Yeah, he's a great man." I smile. "Will I meet him?" She asks. "I have a feeling you will soon." I smile. I sit at the counter while the twins eat their breakfast. Summer sits on the stool beside me. "Are you okay?" I ask. She nods. "I know this is all weird." I say. She nods again. "Give him a chance, he's really missed you. If he knew where you all were all this time I know things would of been different." I say. She smiles. "Okay." She nods. I smile at her. "Plus Chloe would love to have a big sister." I smile. Summer's smile widens. "I'm glad I'm not the only girl." She giggles. "Aww." I smile. "When she gets bigger we can do sister things. Do you have a sister?" She asks. "Yep. And a brother." I say. "Ooh, are you the eldest?" She asks. I nod. "I wish I was the eldest." She says. I giggle. "Does my dad have any brothers or sisters?" She asks. "Yeah he's got 3 sisters and 3 brothers." I say. "Wow. That's a lot." She says. I giggle and I nod. "They're all lovely people." I say. She smiles, she seemed relieved.
Alec walks in, his cheshire cat grin lit the room. "How are my girls?" He asks. I look over at Summer, she looks over at me. "We're fine.. dad." She smiles. Alec's smile widened, if it got any bigger I'm pretty sure his face will start to stretch. "So is your dad coming by?" I ask. He nods. "Along with your mum, Ade, and Lynx." I say. "Luca and Spencer too." He says. "That's a lot of names." Summer says. "They're our aunty and uncles." Eli says. "Ooh." She says. Alec cleans up the twins and washes their breakfast bowls. "So summer what do you like doing?" I ask. "Well, I like dancing, swimming, playing." She says. "What kind of dance?" I ask. "I go ballet, horse riding, gymnastics and oh I do swimming lessons." She says. "Wow that's a lot." I say. "I like doing all of them." She smiles. "What about Jayson?" I ask. "He plays sports. And does karate." Summer says. "Busy." I say. She nods. Alec puts the twins on to the ground, they run around. "I would love to come to one of your dance or gymnastics performances. Actually. I would love to come to all of them. Everything. School plays. Everything." Alec says kneeling down in front of Summer. She looks at him, her eyes locked with his, she was trying to find the lie. But there wasn't, I knew Alec was being completely serious. She wraps her arms around him and he hugs her. "I've missed you so much." He says kissing her head. She tightens her hug and doesn't let him go. "You can come, you both can." She finally says. I smile. I look at them both, Summer is beautiful, she looks a lot like Alec. Thank goodness. My phone begins to ring. It was my dad. I leave them and I walk out. "Hey dad." I say. "Are you okay Olivia?" My dad asks. "News travels fast." I chuckle. "Olivia." My dad says in a stern tone. "Sorry bad timing." I say. "Are you okay?" He asks me. "I don't know." I say. "Olivia." He says in a softer tone. "Can I come and see you later dad? And mom?" I say. In all honesty I just needed a hug from them both. "Sure, you don't need to ask. You know where we are." He says. "I know. Thanks dad." I say. "Love you Olivia." He says. "I love you too dad." I say and I hang up. I rubbed my temples. I could feel the start of a headache, I sighed and plastered a smile on my face just in time for the doorbell. I walked over to the door and opened it. Arthur, Agnes, Luca, Adrianna, Lynx and Spencer all stood at the door. "Is it true?" Agnes asks me. I nod and I step aside allowing them to walk in. "Alec!" I call. Alec walks out carrying Chloe. Summer, Jade and Eli were beside him. "Daddy!" Jade calls as she runs over to Luca, he lifts her up. "Grammy! Poppop! This is Summer." Eli says to them. "I know bud. I can't believe it. We haven't seen you since you were a baby." Arthur says. "You are still very beautiful." Agnes beams. Summer blushes shyly. "I don't remember any of you." She says honestly. "You wouldn't, you were only a baby." Agnes says smiling. "This is unreal." Adrianna says staring at Summer. "Tell me about it." Lynx says staring as well. "Where is your brother?" Luca asks Jade. "In the game room." Jade says. "Lynx, Spencer. Let's go get them out." Luca says with a smirk. Lynx and Spencer smirk too. "Sure, lets." They say as they walk out of the room. Luca still was carrying Jade "What are they gonna do?" Summer asks. "Let's go look!" Eli says taking her hand and running with it. They follow behind them. "Alec." Arthur says. "What the hell?" Adrianna says. "Don't panic." Agnes says putting her hand on Adrianna. "I hope you have thought this through Alec." Arthur says. "I'm not going for full custody. Even though I want to make her suffer for everything she's put me through but I couldn't do it to them." Alec says. "That's understandable son." Arthur smiles. Alec shrugs. "I'm getting wise in my old age pops." Alec smiles. "I wouldn't take it that far yet. Don't let it get to your head son." Arthur chuckles nudging Alec. "Too late." Alec chuckles. We laughed, it was nice to see Alec like this. He is much more happier, even when he walks he has a spring in his step. I watched as he played with Chloe, she giggled at the silly faces he made at her. I feel a little tug on my trousers. I looked down and Colton smiled. I lifted him up and hugged him. "Buela." Colton says pointing at Agnes. "You want Abuela?" I ask him. He nods. "Agnes." I say. She looks over at us both, she smiles at Colton. "Buela." Colton says putting his arms out. Agnes beams as she walks over, she takes him from me. "Do you wanna stay with Abuela and Abuelo tonight?" Agnes asks. Colton nods. "Okay." She smiles. "Spanish mom, really?" Alec says raising his eyebrow. Agnes smiles innocently. I chuckle. "Take no notice of him Agnes, thank you." I smile. "We're both doing it." Arthur says. "Not you aswell pops." Alec says. Arthur shrugs with a guilty smirk. Laughter and heavy footsteps filled the house and they got louder as they got closer. My attention turns to the door. Luca, Lynx, Spencer and the kids all clambered in. Jett, River and Jayson stood side-by-side as they quietened down. "Why are they so annoying dad?" Jett says standing beside Alec. He chuckles. "Imagine how I felt when we were growing up with them." He says. Jett laughs. Alec pulls him into a hug. Jett hugged him back. I walked behind Jayson and placed my hand on his shoulder. "These are your other grandparents." I say smiling. I notice him smile. "You've already met your idiot uncles, Luca, Lynx and Spencer. And this is your aunty. Adrianna, she's your dad's twin." I say pointing in the direction of Adrianna. "Hi." Jayson says waving shyly. "My goodness you have grown so much." Agnes says smiling. "You look just like your brothers. Like miniature Alecs" Adrianna chuckles. "So handsome." Agnes says smiling. "Alec's always been you guys' favourite." Adrianna says. "We have no favourites sweetie, there are to many of you." Agnes says. "Lies." Luca chuckles. "Yeah mom, we all know already." Lynx says. "Shut up Lynx. I don't know why you piped in. Everyone knows mom's favourites are definitely Alec and Lynx." Spencer says. "Oh yeah, I agree with that spence." Adrianna says. "Definitely." Luca nods. "Guys you sound worst than the kids. Stop bickering!" I say. "You guys are absolutely terrible." I say. "Bickering about favourites." I add shaking my head. "Oh shut up Olivia! Everyone knows you are your parents favourite." Adrianna chuckles. They all erupt in laughter. "See, your not even denying it." Luca says. "You guys are so petty." I say. "That's not denying it Olivia." Spencer says. "We can make a favourites club." Lynx says. "The three musketeers." Alec says. Arthur clears his throat. Everyone stops. "You guys are all adults yet you bicker worst than the actual children that you adults have." Arthur says. "Dad. Was you nanna and grandpa's favourites?" Alec asks. "Nah I don't think so Alec, dad looked like he was always crying." Adrianna laughs. "But then the Alpha child is always the parents favourite." Luca says. "Makes sense." Lynx and Spencer say at the same time. "Shut up." Arthur says. "Are they always like this?" Jayson asks Jett. "Pretty much, you'll get used to it." Jett says. "They are so silly." Eli says. "They are." Summer agrees. "I'm sorry." Jett apologises to Jayson. "We aren't that bad Jett." Spencer says. "Yeah, what are you tryna say?" Lynx says walking closer to him. "Nana!" Jett calls. "Lynx, Spencer. Leave Jett alone." Agnes says. "Okay mom." They say in sync. "Another time." Lynx smirks. Jett runs behind Agnes and sticks his tongue out. "Mom did you see that?" Lynx says. "See what Abuela." Jett says looking up at her with his bright blue eyes. "Ignore them sweetie." Agnes says using her free hand to place it on his cheek. "Okay." He says. "He's good." Alec mumbles. "I know." I smile. "That's my boy." Alec smiles.
"We should head home and leave you all to settle." Arthur says. "But dad." Lynx says. "Lynx, I've had it up to here with you." Arthur says snaps sternly. The room went silent for a moment before Lynx erupted in laughter. "I'm pulling your strings old man, let's go Spence before dad blows a brain vessel. Can you see the little vein on his head. Its pulsating." Lynx says still laughing. "Lynx." Alec says. "Alright alright. I'll call you later bro." He says hugging Alec. He hugs all the kids and then walks over to Arthur. He was still angry. Lynx puts his arms out and walks towards him. "Bring it in pops." He says getting closer. Arthur pushes him off. Lynx chuckles. "You're not gonna hug me dad?" Lynx says. "You're such a little shit. Excuse my language children." Arthur says. "I love you dad." Lynx says. Arthur hugs him. "See, that wasn't hard was it big guy." Lynx whispers in Arthurs ear. Arthur pushes him off. He then walks over to Spencer. "I'm gonna call you later son." He says hugging him. "Okay dad." Spencer says. "Mom, why is he always mean?" Lynx says hugging her. "Lynx." Agnes says. "Its okay mom, you've always been my favourite out of you both. And I know Spencer is dad's favourite. I love you mom." He says. "I love you too." She says hugging him. "I'm gonna take you out soon okay mom." Lynx smiles. "My treat." He adds. "You're such a kiss ass, mommas boy." Adrianna says hugging him. "I know." Lynx smiles and shrugs. Lynx and Spencer both leave. "I better go to. Seeya." Adrianna says hugging us all before leaving. "We better get going as well. C'mon River and Jade." Luca says. "Thank you for having us Uncle Alec and Aunty Olivia." They say in sync. "No problem guys. Alec says. "I'll call you later Luc." Alec says as they hug. "Nice meeting you all." Jayson and Summer say. "Nice seeing you guys again." Luca says smiling. Luca, River and Jade leave closing the door behind them. "We're gonna take the twins for the night." Agnes smiles. "Chlo quieres quedarte con la abuela y el abuelo?" Arthur says. "Yes." Chloe nods clapping her hands. "Both of them." Alec groans. "What did he say?" Jayson asks. "He asked if Chloe wants to stay with grandma and grandpa." Jett says. "Ohright and they understand?" Jayson says. "Seems so." Alec says. "Cool." Jayson says. "We better go, we already have seats in the car." Arthur says. "Also we have clothes at ours." Agnes smiles. Alec hands Chloe to Arthur. "Remember babies, we speak english." Alec says. "Alec. You speak other languages to, so do I." I say. "But they barely speak English I don't want them to brainwash our babies. Please don't brainwash my babies." Alec says. "You're such a idiot." I chuckle. He laughs. "Bye babies. I love you." He says kissing them both. "Bye!" We all call as they leave. Closing the door behind them. "I'm gonna go see my parents for an hour since the twins have gone." I say to Alec. He gives me a weary smile. "I'm okay." I say kissing him. "Mommy can I come?" Eli asks. "Sure baby." I say smiling at him. "It will be nice to bond with them, having Jett here makes me feel relaxed." Alec says smiling. I smile at him, he kisses me and I kiss him back. "Mommy I'm ready." Eli says. He had put a pair of shorts on and a t-shirt. His hair was brushed and his trainers were on the right feet. "Summer helped him." Jett says. "Makes sense." Alec chuckles. "Bye daddy." Eli says hugging Alec. Alec hugs him back then lifts him up. "I'm gonna carry you to the car." Alec smiles. Eli beams "Okay daddy." He says unable to hide his smile. "Bye guys." Eli says waving at Jett, Jayson and Summer. "Bye Eli." They all say. I grab my bag, my phone and the car keys off of the side as I walk out the door. I unlock the car and Alec opens my door. I smile. "Thank you." I say. "No need to thank me baby." He winks. He then walks over to the back door and opens it. He straps Eli in the car seat which was in the middle seat. He checks that it is secure before kissing his head. "See ya later bud." He says. "Bye daddy." Eli says kissing his nose. Alec climbs out and closes the door. He walks over to my door, it was closed but the window was down. "I'll give you a call soon okay." He says. "Okay." I say. I lean in and kiss him, he kisses me back. "Ew." Eli says. We chuckle. "I love you." I say. "I love you to." Alec says. We kiss again and then I pull away. I put my seatbelt on and began driving to my moms.
My phone began to ring through the bluetooth. It was Jordan. "Hello little brother." I say as I answer. "Olivia. Jesus christ. Dad told me." Jordan begins to say before I interrupt him. "You're on bluetooth Jord." I say. "Hello Uncle Jordan!" Eli says. "Heyy Eli." Jordan says. "How's the baby?" I ask him. "Who else is with you?" Jordan asks. "Just me and Eli. We're on our way to dads." I say. "Where's everyone?" He asks. "Colton and Chloe are at Abuelas." Eli says. "Huh?" Jordan says. "He's saying the twins are at Grandmas. Agnes" I say. "Oh right." Jordan says confused. "Spanish." I say. "Ahh okay." Jordan says. "Jett's at home with Alec." I say. "And Jayson and Summer." Eli says. "My new bigger brother and sister." He adds. "Ohh right. Olivia I'll give you a call later." He says. "Yeah okay Jord. Kiss the baby." I say. "I will do." He says before hanging up. I pull in to my moms just as the call ends. I park the car and I undo my seatbelt. I grab my phone and I put it in my bag. I put the keys in my pocket and I climbed out the car. I opened Eli's door as I shut mine. I lean over and I unplug him from his seat. He climbs over the chairs and I lift him out. I place him down on the ground and then I close his door. I use the keys to lock the car and then I take Eli's hand as we walk to my moms door. Eli knocks and then I knock. "Just a minute." A voice grumbles. It was my dad. I smiled instantly as he opened the front door, his smile mirrored mine. "Liv." He says pulling me in to a tight hug. "Dad" I smile. "Poppop" Eli smiles. "Hey Eli." My dad says letting me go and lifting Eli up. We walk in to the house, I close the door behind me while my dad carries Eli in to the living room. I soon followed them in. My mom was sitting on the sofa, she beamed as she looked at us. My dad put Eli down. "The boys are upstairs Eli." My dad says. "Okay poppop. Hello Nanna." He says as he walks over to her, he kisses her cheek. "Hello bubba." My mom says hugging him. "I'm gonna go see Theo and Coop now." He says quickly hugging her back. "Okay sweetie." My mom says. He runs out the room. The room was silent for a moment. I walk over to the sofa and I sit beside my mom. She pulls me in to a hug. I hug her back, I inhale deeply. I needed this. I exhaled and smiled. "Are you okay Olivia?" My mom asks. "I will be." I say. "How did this even happen?" My dad says sitting beside me. "I'm just as confused as you are dad." I say. "How could she do that to him?" My mom asks. "I don't know mom." I say. "And she just turned up?" My dad asks. "No. Her parents were there first to soften the blow. But if anything it made Alec worse. He even smashed the table with his bare hands." I say. "What terrible people. I'm surprised he didn't do worse." My mom says shaking her head. "I know. The kids are so sweet as well." I say shrugging. "How is Alec?" My dad asks. "Well Alec sent their mom and her parents to a hotel while the kids stayed with us for the night. He's going to speak to a lawyer about some sort of custody agreement." I say. "He's doing the right thing. So how was it? How were the kids with them?" My mom asks. "They got on really well. We had River and Jade as well. River, Jett and Alec's son Jayson are pretty much inseparable. His daughter Summer idolises Chloe, she's glad to have a sister. She even helped me put Chloe to sleep last night. Then she got into bed with me and Alec. This morning I got up really early and went with Hailey to get breakfast, brought it back. We ate all together which was nice. Alec seems much more happier." I say. "He deserves it." My mom says. "I know. Then Agnes, Arthur, Adrianna, Luca, Lynx and Spencer all came round." I say. "I'm really happy for him. He has had that cloud over him for all these years." My mom says. "I know." I say. "So who's at the house now?" My dad asks. "Just Alec, Jett, Jayson and Summer. Agnes and Arthur took the twins and Eli wanted to come with me." I say. "Oh alright." My dad says. "What's on your mind Olivia?" My mom asks. "How can she do this? Even though I hate Ashton, I could never do that to him. It was a completely different situation, Ashton never knew about Jett. She even brought it up. The whole Ashton and me situation. She was trying to explain and compare what she did but it didn't make any sense dad. I just wanted to hit her. I've never wanted to hit anyone before. I have to be civil with this evil woman for the sake of my kids and her kids. They're half siblings It isn't their fault." I say. "I don't know what I can say to make you feel better Olivia, I've never been in this situation." My dad says. "No one knows what to say. I don't know what to say either." I say. "Are you worried about Alec?" My mom asks. "What are you talking about mom?" I ask. "Are you worried that this will upset you and Alec's relationship?" My mom asks. "Honestly. No. Mom if you saw Alec's face, heard how he spoke to her. He hates her. She's made him miss out on so much of his children's life." I shrug. "Oh, I was just making sure." My mom says. "I'm not worried about him. I'm just in shock that a person was capable of faking her death for so long as well as her children's because she felt like she needed a fresh start." I say. "I understand." My dad says. "So Alec isn't going for full custody?" My mom asks. I shake my head. "He knows that he can't take them away from her no matter how he feels about her. That's their mom. He doesn't want anything to do with her." I say. "I wouldn't if i was him either. I'm surprised he controlled his temper." My dad says. "The kids were all awake." I said. "Oh okay." My dad says. "I just really needed to see you guys." I say honestly. "It's a lot for the pair of you." My mom says. "It's a huge change that none of you were prepared for." My dad says. "I know. I'll be okay though. I'm just happy for Alec." I say smiling. "So are we." My mom says. "What's your plans for the rest of the day then?" I ask them. "Well we were taking the boys to the aquarium." My dad says. "Ohright I'm gonna head home anyway." I say smiling. "I'll call you later Liv." My dad says. "Eli!" I call. Eli runs out along with Cooper and and Theo. "Hey boys." I smile. "Nana can I stay at your house?" Eli asks. "Sure honey." My mom says smiling. "I better make a move then." I say. "Okay mommy." Eli says coming over to me. I hug and kiss him, he hugs and kisses me. "Bye." I say as I leave. I get in my car. I wasn't ready to go home yet so I called Hailey. "Olivia." Hailey says as she picks up the phone. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Nothing why?" She asks. "I'm on my way round for a bit." I say. "Okay liv, see you soon." She says and I hang up. I start my engine and I drive to Hilarys.
I pull up outside her house and I climb out the car. I grab my phone and I lock the car door. I walk up to her door just as I was about to knock the door flies open. Bolton stood there angry. "What the hell?" He says pulling me in the house. I felt like a rag doll, he pulled me in to the kitchen and closed the door. "Olivia Carter. You have a lot of explaining to do." He says sitting on a stool. "So I'm pretty sure you know all about Alec's first mate Brook and her children. They aren't dead. Infact they're very much alive and at my house. Not brook. The kids." I say. Bolton's eyes widen. "Huh?" He says. I explain to him again what happened. "Liv that's all kinds of fucked up." Bolton says. "I know bolt. I don't know how I should feel." I say honestly. "I wouldn't either Liv. You and Alec wasn't prepared for something like this happening. But now it's here and it's not a dream." He says. "Bolt, being a dad has changed you. I can't believe you're giving me half decent advice" I chuckle. He smiles. "We may joke around a lot. But i do love you little cousin." He says. "You just had to add that part in." I say. He smirks and shrugs. "Seriously though bolt. I'm not mad at his kids. I'm just mad at her." I say. "Too right Liv. But you're gonna have to get over it for the sake of Jett, Eli, Colton and Chloe." He says. I sigh. What he said was true. I did have to get over it. "Okayyy Bolton. Enough now." I smile. "Glad you understand kid. Now go home. I've had enough of your face. Plus. Alec must be worried." Bolton says. "But." I begin to say. "But nothing. Olivia Carter, stop stalling and go home." He says sternly. "Okay." I shrug. I walk out the door. Hailey gives me a sympathetic smile. "You could of said I was walking in to a trap." I whisper. "Sorry." She whispers. I walk out their front door and over to my car. I unlock the car and I open the door. I get in the car and close the door. I put the key in the ignition and I start the car. I pull away and I begin the drive home.
I pull up outside my house and I switch the engine off. I grab my bag and I climb out the car. I lock the door and I walk to the front door. I grab my keys and I open the front door and I stand there for a moment. The house was completely dark and silent. I switched the light on and I walked over to the coffee table. I dropped my bag on it and walked further in to the house. No one was in. I got my phone and I called Alec, he picked up straight away. "Babe, I forgot to message you. My lawyer got in touch so I'm on my way over to his office." He says. "Okay babe." I say. "You can meet me here if you want?" Alec says. "We've discussed this Alec." I say. "I know." Alec says disappointed. "I'll see you when you get back. Eli's over at my parents house. So I'm gonna put dinner on.. I guess." I say looking around the empty house. "Okay baby. I love you." He says. "I love you too." I say before hanging up. I put my phone in my pocket and I walk in to the kitchen. I grab a frying pan and I place it on the cooker. I take my phone out of my pocket and I ring Jordan. He picks up quickly. "Liv." He says. "Jordan." I reply. "Dad called." He says. "I gathered." I say. "How are you?" He asks. I walk over to the fridge. How was I? I didn't know. "I don't know." I say honestly. I take the chicken out of the fridge and I place it on the side. "You need to take a break." Jordan says. "I wish it would be easy. Look what Brook done to take a break. I know I'm not the same. But I don't think Alec will understand. It's not easy. I can't leave the kids. But I can't bring them with me." I say. "Why not?" Jordan asks. "Because. I do need a break Jordan. A break means relaxing. I love my kids to bits but I can't just relax with them." I say honestly. "I understand." He says. "I'm not mad at Alec. Nor the kids. But why is she back?" I say voicing my insecurities. "Do you think she wants Alec?" Jordan asks. I place the phone on loud speaker on the counter. "I don't know. Alec doesn't want her but who knows. That could change a few months or years down the line. They were each others first loves." I say as I take the chicken out of the packet. I cut it up into cubes. "But liv. That's like you and Ashton. How do you know Alec doesn't think the same thing?" Jordan asks. "Ashton rejected me. That's a different situation to his mate faking her death. He loved and mourned her. He was a broken man." I say. "He mourned his kids too." Jordan adds. "Now he doesn't need to they're all here. Breathing. Alive." I say. "But she faked her death and made him believe that his children were dead for all these years Olivia." Jordan says. "I know. He said that." I say. "I think you're being way to hard on Alec. He's going through a lot aswell. Stop being selfish." Jordan says. "I know. I'm being selfish. I'm making this all about me when it should be about Alec. This isn't my situation it's Alec's and I have no right to be hard on him." I say. "Exactly. I understand it's a tough situation to be in. But you have to be there for Alec." Jordan says. "I know." I say as I wash the chicken. "How's the baby?" I ask. "He's fine, we're home now." Jordan says happily. "That's great. Give him kisses. We're all going to come down soon and see him." I say. As I take the chicken back over to the counter. I season the chicken with fajita mix and a little bit of garlic. I turn the cooker on and I heat a small bit of oil in the pan. "Olivia stop changing the subject." Jordan says. I chuckle as I put the chicken in the now hot oil. "Okay Jord." I say as I begin cooking. "What are you cooking liv?" Jordan asks me. "Fajitas." I say as I turn the heat down. "Are you gonna sit and talk to Alec properly. Away from the kids." Jordan says. "I guess I'll have to." I say getting another pot out for the rice. "You're just gonna end up pushing him away. Stop being a brat." He snaps. "Okay Jordan. I get it. I'll talk to him when he gets back and the kids are in bed." I sigh. "Good." Jordan says. "Anyway. I'm gonna let you go. Give the baby a kiss." I say. "Don't be upset Liv." Jordan says clearly picking up on my voice. "I'm not. I'll talk to you later. Bye jord." I say hanging up before he got the chance to respond. I finish cooking and I set the table.
The table was set for five. Alec, me, Jett, Jayson and Summer. I put the wraps on to a plate and put them in the middle table, I carried the pots over and put them on to the table as well. I placed knifes and forks next to the plates and cups in front of the plates. I smiled as I took a few steps back to admire the table, I quickly pulled my phone from my back pocket and called Agnes. "Olivia." She says as she answers the phone. "Hi Agnes, I'm just calling to check if the twins are okay." I say. "They're perfectly fine sweetheart. You don't need to call in, you should know my grand babies are fine with Arthur and I." She says. I chuckle nervously. "I know they're fine Agnes but." I say. She chuckles. "I know honey, there's no need to explain yourself. You're their mother, so I get it." She says. A wave of relief flushes through my body. "They're just eating." Agnes adds in. "Okay. Thank you Agnes." I say. "No worries sweetie." She says. "I'll kiss them both for you." She adds before I get the chance to ask. "Thank you." I say again. "Have a good night Olivia. Relax. You deserve it." She says. "I will." I say before hanging up. I quickly FaceTime my mom. She answers showing only her forehead. "Mom, you've got to move the camera down a bit." I say. She chuckles and moves it down. I could see her properly now, she was wearing her glasses. "How's little man doing?" I ask. "He's gone to the store with your dad and the boys." My mom says. "Okay mom." I smile. "Are you okay? What did you do after you left here?" She asks me. "Yeah mom. I went to see Bolton, we spoke for a while then I came home and cooked and I spoke to Jordan." I say. "Oh, how are you feeling?" She asks. "Mom you just asked me that. I said I feel fine. After speaking to Bolton and Jordan and having time to myself for a minute before they get back I feel better. Not better, positive." I say smiling. "Okay Liv." She says raising one of her eyebrows behind the frame of her glasses. "I'm serious." I say nodding my head. "Alright Liv, well what did you make?" She asks me. I flip the camera and I show her the table. "You have been busy." My mom says. I flip the camera back on me. "I know." I smile. "Okay honey, I promised myself I would get this crossword done." My mom says. I chuckle. "Okay mom. Speak soon." I say. "Remember if you need anything to call me or your father. I love you." My mom says. "I love you too mom." I say. I end the call just as I hear the front door open. "Babe." Alec's voice echoes through the hall as he walks in. "Dinner's ready." I call back. Jett was the first in. "Hi mom." He says walking over to me. I hug him and kiss his forehead. "Hello sweetie. Are you okay? I smile. He nods and smiles. "Hey Liv." Jayson says as he walks in. "Hey Jay." I smile. "Hello Liv." Summer says smiling as she walks in. "Hey Sum." I say. She hugs me, I hug her back. Jayson hesitantly walks over and hugs me. I hug him back as well. "You guys go wash your hands for dinner okay." I say. They nod and they all leave. Alec walks in last, he smiles as our eyes meet. I smile back. How does he still do this to me? "I've missed you today." He says as he walks closer, our eyes still locked. "I've missed you too." I say blushing. He pulls me in and embraces me. Our lips met and I felt him smile against my lips. We stay there for a moment. My head was buried in his chest, I closed my eyes and breathed in his sweet scent. I opened them and looked up at him, he was still smiling. "It feels like I haven't seen you in so long." He says. "I know." I say. The butterflies in my stomach were going crazy. "Go wash your hands. Dinners ready." I say. "Come with me." He says. I smile and I nod. I take his hand and I lead him to the kitchen. I stand at the sink and I switch on the tap, Alec was suddenly standing behind me. I put his hands under the tap and we wash our hands together. I tilt my head back and Alec kisses me. He switches off the tap and leads me back to the dining room. "You were busy." He says referring to the layout. "It's still hot." I smile. We sit at the table and wait for the kids to join us. "How's your day been?" I ask him. "Its been okay, better now baby." He says smiling perfectly at me. I blush. "How about yours? How's your mom and dad?" He asks me. "They're good babe. I went over Bolton's before I came home." I say. "How's Bolt?" He asks. "Good." I smile. Jett walks in followed by Jayson and Summer. They all sit at the table. "This looks really nice." Jayson says as I dish the food out on their plates. "Thank you." I smile back at him. He smiles at me, he looked a lot like Alec just a smaller version. "Thank you mom." Jett says smiling as I hand him his plate. "No problem baby." I say beaming at my baby boy. "Thank you Liv." Summer says as Alec gives her a plate. "No problem sweetie." I say smiling at her. She is absolutely beautiful. She looked like Alec as well. We all ate in a comfortable silence.
"That was amazing." Alec says as he finishes his dinner. "Thank you." I say smiling. "Its okay babe, you go put your feet up, you deserve it. I'll clean up." Alec says. "We'll help too." Jett says smiling. "Yeah." Jayson and Summer nod. I smile. "I'm going to have a bath." I say smiling. "Okay babe." Alec says walking over to me. He kisses me. "Thank you guys." I say to the kids as I leave the dining room. I head upstairs and into my room. I switch on the light and I walk in to the en suite. I switch the light on and I walk over to the bath. I turn the hot water tap on and then I turn the cold water up a little bit. I put the plug in and I walk over to my cabinet. I open it and I get my muscle soak bubble bath, I open the lid and I pour it in to the bath. I put the bubble bath back in to the cabinet and I close it. I walk out of the bathroom and I sit on my bed for what I thought was a minute. The buzzing of my phone snaps me back to reality. I looked at the time. It was 9 and I was exhausted. I walk in to the bathroom and I switch off my bath, it was almost full. I walk back in to my room and back over to my phone. It was a message from Ashton. I read it 'Hey Liv, My family are having a Sports day/Fun day for the kids and I was wondering since we are on almost good terms if I can pick up Jett tomorrow? I would love it if he was there, it would mean a lot to me. Let me know. Ash.' I quickly call Konan. He answers. "What's up kid?" He answers. "Your brother texted me and I just wanna make sure he's not lying." I say. Konan chuckles. "What did he say?" Konan asks. I tell him. "Ah, that thing. Yeah it's tomorrow, It's an annual thing I was gonna take the family down there myself." He says. "What is it?" I ask. "Kids of the pack and their family all come together for a bbq and sports day. Not just for the kids. Adults take part too. At the end the judge announces the winner and they get a trophy and a medal." Konan says. "Ah right, I haven't spoken to Jett about it but if he agrees this would be the first time ever that Jett's been alone with Ashton." I say worrying. "There's no need to worry kid, I'm there. He's not alone with Ashton. Think of it as. He's out with his Uncle Konan along with Ashton." Konan says. "I'll call you back. I'm going to have a bath and then speak to Jett." I say. "Alright squirt." He says. "Bye." I say hanging up. I walk in to the bathroom, I undress and then I get in to my bath. I closed my eyes and sunk down so my jaw was hovering above the water. I don't know how long I was there but the bath had gotten a bit colder, I grabbed my sponge and I put some dove soap on it, I washed myself and rinsed the soap off. I took out the plug and climbed out the bath. I wrapped my towel round my body and I walked out in to the bedroom. Alec was sitting on the bed. "You were in there a while babe. Are you okay?" He asks. "I must of fell asleep. I'm fine babe. Just tired." I say. "Same, I'm gonna have a shower." He says standing up. "Before you go, Ashton texted me." I say walking over to my drawers. "Oh, what did he have to say?" Alec asks raising his eyebrow. I told him. "Are you okay with that?" He asks me. I shook my head. "But I called Konan and asked him, he said that he would be there." I say. "That makes me feel a little better." He says. "Same, I was gonna speak to Jett but I want us both to do it, so he knows you're okay with it." I say. "I'm not okay with it. But. I haven't got a choice. Ashton is his real dad." Alec says. "No, you're his real dad Alec, you do have a choice when it comes to Jett that's not what I meant by that. I meant the whole 'war' thing is over between us all. We have bigger things to worry about and I don't want Ashton to be on the list." I snap. He frowns it then disappears. "Okay I'm sorry Olivia, I shouldn't of said that. It's just a shock that's all, I was throwing my toys out of the pram and I shouldn't of said that. I understand why you're doing this and thank you for including me." He says looking at me. I was still kind of mad and I couldn't stop talking. "Do you think I want Jett to go? Don't you think I'm panicking right now? I just thought you could be there to support me. After everything." I say. "Everything?" He says raising his eyebrow. I nod. "Everything." I say. "Fine Olivia." He says walking in to the bathroom slamming the door behind him. I internally scream. Ignore it. I get some pyjamas and I put them on. I hear the shower switch on and I cream my body then I get dressed. I sit back on my bed and I stare at the ceiling. Did we argue? Is he mad at me? He's got to be to slam the door. How can he be mad though? I'm dealing with his situations non-stop. No I'm not saying that I don't want to. I love him. But he could at least support me. What am I talking about? I shake the thoughts out of my head and I sit up just as the bathroom door opens. "You're right, I'm sorry." He says as he walks in wrapped in a towel. "So am I." I say. "You shouldn't be. I'm being inconsiderate. Jett shouldn't feel like he's in the middle of a war." Alec says walking over to his drawers, he gets a pair of shorts and puts them on. He folds his towel and then folds mine. "Like I said I was just shocked. We should speak to him." Alec says walking in to the bathroom, he hangs the towels up. "Where is he?" I ask. "He's in his room." Alec says. "Oh right. Do you wanna call him then? I don't like shouting." I say. "Yes ma'am." He says. "Jett!" Alec calls. I hear his door open and he walks in to our room. "Yeah dad?" He says sitting on the bed. Alec sits beside him, I was on the other side. "Ashton texted." Alec says. "He wants to know if you're interested in going to a family sports day." He says. "Konan's gonna be there." I add. "It's an annual thing that they hold." I say. Jett raises his eyebrow. "It's okay." Alec nods. "Okay. What does the winner get?" He asks me. I chuckle. "A trophy and a medal." I shrug. "Ooo. Can I put it in my case?" He asks. "Course you can son." Alec smiles. "Can I go back to Jayson now?" He asks. "Sure. Goodnight baby." I say kissing him. "Good night mom." Jett says. "Good night son." Alec says hugging him. "Good night dad." Jett says hugging him back. Alec kisses his forehead. Jett jumps off the bed and runs out of the room. Alec closed the bedroom door and I got in to bed, he switched the light off and I switched the lamp on. I got the remote and switched on the Tv. Alec got in to bed just as the door was lightly knocked on. "Come in." I say. Summer and Jayson both walked in. "We just wanted to say goodnight." Jayson says smiling. "Good night sweeties." I say putting my arms out. They come over and I hug them both. I kiss their foreheads. "Sweet dreams." I say. "Night honey." Alec says hugging Summer, he kisses her cheek. She smiles. "Night dad." She says walking out. "Night bud." Alec says hugging Jayson. "Night dad." Jayson says. He walks out the room and closes the door. "I guess I should respond." I say. Alec nods. I grab my phone and I start typing to Alec 'Hi Ashton. I spoke to Jett, he's up for it. What time did you wanna get him? Let me know. Olivia.' I show Alec and he shrugs. I press send. Minutes later my phone buzzed. 'That's great! Is 8 okay? I know it's abit early but I can take him for breakfast.' Ashton says. 'Sure.' I say. "I'm gonna call Konan and let him know." I say. Alec nods. I call his number and I put him on speaker. "Sup?" He answers. "Hi Konan." I say. "What's up?" Alec says. "Sup Alec. How you doin?" He asks. "I'm good, how's you and the family?" Alec asks. "Good, everyone's good. How's everything with you?" He asks. "Everything's real good, about tomorrow. Jett's going." Alec says. "Ah, alright. I'll keep an eye on him. Don't worry." Konan says. "I want you to keep a close eye on Bentley too. Something tells me he won't be to pleased. And I really don't want to have to come down there to get my son." Alec says in a threatening tone. "Heard loud and clear Alec. Jett will be fine." Konan says. "Okay, keep me updated." Alec says. "Will do. Have a nice night." Konan says. "You too." Alec says. "Bye." I say. "Bye squirt. Speak soon." Konan says. I hang up. Alec sighs as he lays back. "So, we haven't spoken much today." Alec says. I knew it. "I know." I agree. "I went to my lawyers office." Alec says. "How did that go?" I ask. "He drew up an contract which we've sent off and that she needs to sign which entitles me to have them every other weekend, birthdays, Christmas and the holidays. It also states that the schools have to have my contact details and let me know on their progress or any upcoming event. She is not allowed to make any other form of contact with me unless it has to do with the kids. She will drop the kids off to school on a Friday and then I will pick them up. And then on a Sunday I will drop them off to their practices and she will pick them up from there. As for money. My lawyer said that they may want a back payment for the years I have missed, which isn't a problem. But I will obviously argue and say that I never knew they were alive. Other than that I will pay her a monthly amount of money to maintain them and money will go in to their accounts." Alec says. I look at him. "Are you happy with that?" I ask him. "It seems reasonable, which is what I'm trying to be about this situation. I have to think of the family that I already have." Alec says. "I understand." I say. "I don't want to have nothing to do with that woman. And the contract makes that pretty clear." Alec says. I nod. "How do you feel about the contract? And answer honestly Liv." Alec says. "I'm still confused about the whole thing Alec. Of course I am happy for you but I do have the right to be a little bit pissed off. Not at you. At what she caused. Remember when I found out I was pregnant with Eli. You nearly lost it. Remember I said I'm not mad at you. But. It's just. All these years." I say. "I know babe, it's crazy I know. Never in a million years did I think that this would just happen. I'm sorry for making what was meant to be the happiest time shit." He says. "Like I said I'm not mad at you. I don't blame you Alec. I love you. We can get through this together." I say. "Don't leave me." Alec says. "You don't leave me, even if you find someone prettier than me." I say. "No one is prettier than you Liv. I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me and my abnormalities." He says. "And you're stuck with mine." I say. He smiles. "So about the contract?" He says. "Oh right. I'm happy with the terms I guess a part of me is glad we don't have to deal with her." I say. Alec chuckles and pulls me in to a hug. "I love you Olivia." He says. "I love you to Alec." I say. "I don't want you to feel like we can't talk." He says. "I know." I mumble. "So speak." Alec says. "I need to know if this changes anything between us?" I say. "Not the slightest Olivia, it doesn't change not a damn thing, you don't seem to understand, you pulled me out of my darkest days and made me love again. Not only have you saved me but you gave me four beautiful children. Jett included. I was lost before I met you, you've changed me for the better and I don't ever want to lose you or even imagine my life without you." Alec says. I smile. "Does that answer your question?" Alec asks in a cocky tone. "It sure was cheesy. A simple no would of been fine." I say. "Cheeky, I think that was an Oscar worthy performance." Alec winks. "Don't worry I'm sure you'll get one soon." I say smiling. He kisses me and I kiss him back. Alec pulls me on to him and our kiss deepens. Our bodies were one, that night we made love like it was our last night on earth. All my worries and my doubts soon disappeared and were replaced with love.
