I was going to post an update for Unreal City today, but I didn't get done writing it. Yesterday was hectic, today's been even worse, and I figured I'd go ahead and post something to avoid going ages without posting anything at all.
I wrote this about a month ago for my creative writing class and figured I might as well share it.

Stare at the world, in full-fledged autumn glow
with leaves of crimson, yellow, and bright orange
oaks, poplars, maples, spruce, and all the rest
let their crisp leaves tumble to the ground.
Feel the slight breeze, as soft as kittens' fur
tickling, chasing, whispering its tale
over the hills, rivers, valleys, and streams
the wind calls. It brings the story of fall.
Look carefully through the expansive field
field mice, gray squirrels, rabbits and small snakes
hunting, gathering, preparing for change
autumn is here. No time left to delay.
Beauty abounds, in shades of glowing flame
summers chased away like smoke from chimneys.
