I can't help but blame myself. Why didn't I do anything? Why didn't I see the signs when they were all around me? What was I doing when he was falling apart? Was I with Ryan? Amanda? Roamer?I just sat back, too caught up in my own problems to realize that the boy I loved so dearly wasn't okay at all, even though he cracked a joke every now and then. I wish I could've seen behind his smiles and why he didn't show up to school. I guess I'll never know why he did what he did. Maybe I could've helped. Maybe I could've saved him. But I didn't. Instead, he saved me.
