It’s hard to let go of someone you love.
You seem to reach every bit of him in the dark.
You seem to see him everywhere you go.
You seem to say his name a million times in your head.
Every memory of you together gives you heartaches.
His flaws meant nothing to you.
He is perfect in your eyes.
He is everything you want.
Once, his words meant a lot.
How much he loves you.
How much he cares for you.
How much he’s willing to protect you.
But when everything’s over,
Those words turn into a nightmare that will keep on haunting you forever.
You want to hear the same words fall from his mouth again.
Yet deep inside,
Your heart knows that it’s hopeless to yearn for him anymore.
It is hopeless.
Because it is all over.
