(a/n: and i am back!!!!!!! so here's the thing my midterms is on the third week of october and being a reader myself i decided not to torture you anymore, though i got hold up with school work, stress and 'authors' block in the past weeks i've managed to bounce back. so i know you're tired with the extras.....so let's go back to the main story. hope you'll like it)
Catherine was inducted as the vice-president of their middle school together with the king and knight, she also take the reign of the Karate club which just welcome four new promising members. As to the bullying incidents that usually surrounds her it had died down when she took her pledge as a vice-president. However due to her duties being non-existent in the student council, Ryuuji does most of the job, she is mostly seen at their dojo than in the student council.
"hearing from your stories you're more like a mascot than the vice-president"
"well its not my fault that Ryuuji loves to take my work, I mean i am more of a vice-president in name only. Compare to brother Jake I have no work at all!!!" even though I was somewhat reluctant to join the student council I always have a policy that once I've been put into work despite my protest I must see it through to the end to the best of my abilities.
"guys!!! Guys!!! Good news!! Good news!!!!" I look up when our female classmates suddenly became rowdy
"what happened?"
"miss Catherine, good news"
"hmmm??"
"section one is going to be with us today in our swimming class" as if on cue one by one the student of section one started arriving"
"look!!! There's prince Ryuuji and prince Aoi!!"
"so lucky!!!"
"we've got to see them half naked!!! Kyaaa!!!!!"
"I need a camera!!! Come get me some camera!!!!"
"ah......" I winced when one of my classmate suddenly had a nosebleed.
"tsk....those two are really deadly" Kana said beside me as we watch two of our classmates being carried to the infirmary after losing consciousness when the boys form section one lined up in the other side of the pool. "so what do you think of those two?" I followed Kana's gaze and it landed on Ryuuji and Aoi who are only wearing the Academy's standard white and blue swimming trunks. Okay I gotta admit despite their young age the two of them had started showing a proportionate muscle on their arms and abdomen. "they've got a nice body right"
"yes"
"so do you feel anything?" Kana excitedly ask "what's with that uninterested look?"
"Kana had you forgotten that brother had better muscles than them? moreover my bodyguards are all in top shape and I've seen them on the beach once. That one right there can't even enter my list"
"............."
"why are you giving me pitiful look?"
"Catherine, I am starting to really worry about your future, I had this feeling that if I don't act fast I would never have a chance to meet my godchild"
"eh?????" she just patted on my shoulders.
"hello middle school student council!!!!" startled we look at our door when it was suddenly opened with a bang and sister Liya came in "where's the president?"
"sister Liya" I immediately went and greeted her, both Ryuuji and Aoi is out checking on the clubs and only me and the other members are here.
"eh....catherine? what are you doing here?"
"I am the vice-president"
"holy!!!! Does president Clyde knew about it?" I shake my head
"brother had been too busy lately with school works and cram school"
"hmmmmm...."
"by the way, why are you here sister Liya?"
"oh that!! I am here to inform you about a leadership camping activity that is annually organized by the three big schools in our district"
"camping??"
"uh-huh, last year, it was organized by Truvian Academy and was held at the sea, this time the one in charge are Jeiko Technical Academy and it is supposed to be held at some mountain in the west coast area. anyway, we're going to have a meeting about this at five so you better inform your president and by the way it also includes those former student council members as they will be the one in charge in the over-all internal activity together with the teacher in-charge as part of the planning committee, so you better tell about this little secret of your to president"
"ah....that, Kana had mentioned it to me before"
"..........." brother this is the second time that I learned that you and Kana are e-mail buddies since when did it start???? "brother?"
"hmmmm?" I saw him highlighting his books so I hesitated whether I should ask him or not "what is it?" he stop what he is doing and turned to face me
"ummmm.....brother, do you have someone you like?" he frowned
"I've already answered you before Catherine, right now I don't have someone I like" ohhhh.....but brother I ship you with Kana I must see it sail through
"brother what do you think of Kana?"
"Catherine......"
"okay, I wouldn't ask anymore brother" I raised my hand in resignation then brother sighed
"I only see Kana as a little sister okay" oh no the ship had sunk!!!!!
"I see.....i guess I better just partner her up with Aoi" I mumble to myself, Kana with her dominant attitude is better off with the puppy like Aoi. I was about to go outside the study when I heard something broke "brother?"
"looks like my mechanical pencil had reach its limit" I look at the mechanical pencil I gifted brother when I was eleven years old.
"do you want me to buy you a new one again brother?"
"no need, I still have a spare" I nodded and saw brother pull out a familiar looking red and white mechanical pencil but I can't remember where I've seen it
"then brother, I'll leave you with your studies" brother just nodded and I walk back to the living room
"wow!!!!! So this is the place where we'll be camping" Kana said after we get-off from the bus. Brother had already went ahead of us three days ago.
"anyway, Kana why are you suddenly here? I did not remember you being a member of the student council" if I remember it correctly the treasurer who is only the vacant position back then was given to a first year. Someone pat me on the shoulder and when I look up I saw Aoi smiling at me
"the previous treasurer had to relieve his position due to health issues and among the candidates we've had on our hands Kana had the most promising credentials" I look surprisingly at Kana
"just leave the money matter to me"
"you, stop dawdling there and proceed to the registration booth already" Ryuuji called to us, the other members immediately followed him while Kana and me are the ones left at the back.
"tell me, you plan this right?"
"as if, it was your king who approached me"
"you're busy with your club so how come you join the student council?"
"Catherine, I was given the choice to freeze to death with his death glare or accept the invitation what do you think I will choose?" understanding dawned on me and I can't help but sympathize with her
"you had it hard huh"
"no you had it hard" she said cryptically before keeping up with the other while I remain standing there. what did she mean??????
"brother!!!" I wave at brother when I saw him coming from the log cabin but suddenly someone block my views
"hey!! Stop dawdling around"
"ah!!" I glare at Ryuuji when he suddenly drag me
"go and register already, you're lagging us behind" when I look at the other officers I noticed that they are already finished with their registration so I followed Ryuuji and register with him.
"you okay?" ask Kana when we reach them, I nodded
"Catherine!!!!" I turned to my left and I was almost lost my balance when sister Liya came flying on my direction.
"sister Liya"
"ah....i get to be with you" she squeezed me tightly that I feel like losing my breath
"let go of my sister, Liya" brother came out of nowhere and break us apart
"yo! President"
"go and fix your members out there and stay on your side. Don't go running here at the middle section's side"
"you're really stingy president" brother just flick sister Liya on the forehead "okay see you Catherine" I wave good bye at sister Liya
"how was your trip?" brother passed me the water bottle he was carrying
"its quite fun brother, I enjoyed the scenery"
"mhmmm..." he smiled at me them he ruffled my hair "just enjoy your stay here" I nodded
"Cat" I look at Ryuuji and Aoi who came walking towards us holding something "accompany the female council members and go pick a spot already" I nodded at them
"want me to come with you?" ask brother and I almost said yes
"monitor Clyde I think it would be bad for our team if a monitor will show favoritism"
"there's no favoritism here Ryuuji"
"but won't it look bad on Catherine when the others see her being accompanied by a monitor and it's her brother at that"
"accompanying a fellow student is nothing out of the ordinary"
"ano!" I said loudly to interrupt them as they're starting to gather some attention "I can handle this task myself, brother you can go back to your duties after we fixed our tent I will just come and find you" before any of them could react I immediately grab Kana's hand and signal the other two female members in our group.
After we finish erecting our tents I did not have the time to go and meet with brother because we are immediately called back in front of the log cabin for some short orientation. It was all about the rules and regulations, introducing the teachers-in-charge and the monitors as well as handling out the calendar of activities for the next four days.
"by the way we have a visitor today, he had an ongoing research in a nearby lake and is staying with us in the log cabin. Be sure to not pester him whenever he is around" then as if on cue a man in a plain white chinos and khaki pants walk from the sideway and stood in front. After seeing him I unconsciously look back at Ryuuji, because the one standing in front id his older brother, Raijin.
"he is Raijin Takano so make sure not to disturb him." Raijin just look at us with the similar cold gaze that I am already familiar with, I noticed that his gaze linger on Ryuuji and Aoi's direction and I notice how his lips twitches on a smile, he whispered something to the speaker before walking back inside the log cabin.
"what's his relations with your king? I saw him looking at their direction plus he gave off the same cold vibe as him"
"they're brothers"
"ha? The world did not get satisfied with one bloke of ice that he had to create two?" I practically understand Kana because I have the same thought as her. Because in the manga Ryuuji and Raijin's personality is somewhat the same.
"okay, since this is a camping trip we have decided to make it more camping like hence we did not hire cooks today" I notice that the atmosphere seems tense "we've prepared the provisions in the northern shed where you can find any ingredients you need however you will be the one cooking your own meal" after giving of that statement suddenly everyone became noisy, some are voicing their own dissatisfaction while other are asking for leeway.
"what's wrong with them?" I can't help but ask as some members of the two school's student council went and follow and the organizers.
"ahh.....we're super lucky that we have Catherine here on our side" I look at sister Liya who came and hug me from behind"
"eh?" somehow all the members of the high school and middle school student council are looking at me
"did you not get the situation Catherine?" I look at Kana "do you really expect that an heir or heiress will know how to cook food?" then it hit me, we're on a mountain conducting a camping activity. Since I've went camping with my friend back in our past life this is nothing new to me, however to this blue bloods here who have maids and butlers following them, cooking a simple meal would really be a problem.
"okay, what do you want for lunch?"
"yes!!!!!" sister Liya shouted in delight
