Years later
Astrid, Snotlout, Fishlegs, Ruffnut and Tuffnut walked into the Berk dragon training arena to start their training.
"Wow," Ruff said.
"This is going to be amazing!" Snotlout exclaimed.
"It's only fun if you get a scar or two," Astrid said.
"Yeah. Pain love it," Hiccup said sarcastically.
They looked over in shock.
"Who invited him?" Tuff asked.
"Kids your parents have signed you up for this," Gobber said.
"You mean you signed me up for this," Astrid said aggressively.
"Anyway, you'll be learning how to kill Gronkles, Deadly Nadders, Monstrous Nightmares, Terrible Terrors and Hideous Zipplebacks. Ready?"
"Aren't you going to teach us something?" Snotlout asked.
"I believe in learning on the job," Gobber said opening the dragon pen. A gronkle flew out.
"Quick, what do you need?" Gobber shouted.
"A doctor?" Hiccup guessed.
"Plus five speed?" Fishlegs called.
"No, idiots, a shield!" Astrid shouted at them.
"Yes, Astrid. Everyone get a shield," Gobber shouted.
The twins ran to a shield with skulls on it but started arguing over it. The gronkle fired hitting the shield.
"Ruffnut and Tuffnut, you're out."
A few minutes later
Only Hiccup and Astrid are left.
"Guess it's just us," Hiccup said.
"No just you," Astrid whispered to him before moving out of the way. The blast hit Hiccup's shield so Hiccup ran after it. The dragon followed. It put Hiccup against the wall and was about to fire before Gobber diverted the shot.
He put it back in the pen.
"You'll get another chance. But remember dragons always go for the kill."
"Hiccup messed it up," Ruffnut said walking out.
'I wanted to kill it," Snotlout followed.
"You heard Gobber. We'll get another chance," Fishlegs quickly added.
"If I was Gobber, I'd kick Hiccup out," Astrid said walking away.
