The Freemans sat at home chilling. Riley was playing 2k, Huey was reading one of his revolution books, and Jada was on her computer looking for a job for her and Riley.
"How about Starbucks?" Jada asks.
"That's gay," Riley replies.
"McDonald's?"
"Everybody and they mama work there."
"Ohh, how about Foot Locker?"
"Ain't that the shoe store at the mall?"
Jada nods.
"Let's try that. They got enough openings?" Riley asks.
"Yes sir. I'll fill out our applications and see what happens."
"Shouldn't Riley be doing his own application?" Huey questioned.
"Shut up, punk! Jada bein a good lil sister and helping her brother out. Stop hating cause she didn't do yours."
"Whatever," Huey got up walking upstairs.
"Face ass," Riley mumbles going back to his job.
Jada and Riley got called for a job interview for Foot Locker that Friday.
"Okay, we have to get you prepared for an interview," Jada says. "Cause you can't be ghetto trying to get a job."
"Nigga, I can do what I want! I'm Young Reezy!"
"Exactly what I was afraid of."
Jazmine walks in, Riley raising an eyebrow.
"I know she go wit McHater but her ass still gotta knocks."
"Riley stop bitchin. Jazzy came to help us."
Jada and Jazmine explained the do's and do not's in a job interview. They even made Riley take notes.
"Okay, let's practice," Jazmine sat in front of Riley and acted as the interviewer. "Hello, Mr. Freeman. How are you?"
"Aight."
"Stop!" Jada shouts. "Reezy you can't talk like you do at home. If someone asks you how you're doing you have to answer politely."
"Hello Mr. Freeman," Jazmine starts again.
"I'm aight, how bout you?"
"This is gonna be a long day."
Jada eventually gave up with Riley. He constantly said nigga and wouldn't fully annunciate his words.
The two were now on their way to the mall for their interview.
"You sure his ass wanted to interview both us?" Riley questions.
"Yes, Riley. I'm just as confused as you as to why," his sister replies. "Just don't say anything. Let me do all the talking and if he asks you something then you talk."
"Freemans," a man greets when the Freemans arrive. "Jada and Riley, correct?"
"Yes sir," Jada says.
"Pleasure meeting you. I'm James Conner. I see you two both need a job and I would be more than happy to help."
"Thats great!"
James looked over their applications,
"Let's start with you, Ms. Freeman. Okay, Jada Jeanette Freeman. You once held a movement for black rights, you've volunteered at the Chicago Library when you were 5, and you speak over 8 languages."
Jada smiled proudly at her achievements.
"And Mr. Freeman. Your name is Riley Escobar Freeman. You once went as the Fundraiser when you were 8 selling chocolate, you've encountered many life crisis and you're a talented artist."
Riley only shrugged.
"Well, you two are very skillful. Honestly the most skillful pair of twins I've ever met."
"Twins?" Jada and Riley question.
"Yes, you two are twins, right?" James asked.
Jada glanced at their application. She accidentally made copied Riley's birthday into both of their DOB columns.
"Yea," Riley speaks up. "We are. And if you plan on hiring someone, its both of us."
"Riley!" Jada flares at her brother. James laughs,
"I love it! The crazy defensive boy with his calm compassionate sister. When do you two wanna start?"
Jada and Riley planned to work the following week, needing time to prepare.
"Wait, you messed up your application?"
"I was copying all of our family information, not realizing I did it with out date of birth too," Jada says.
"I know not to ask you to do my résumé," Huey says. Jada rolls her eyes.
The next day
Cindy and Riley were out on a date. This being there first, Riley wanted to do something he knew she'd like.
"Reezy? A carnival?" Cindy asked, looking at the carnival in front of her.
"Did you not wanna come here cause we could leave," Riley was beginning to panic before Cindy gave a huge smile going,
"OH MY GOD REEZY I LOVE CARNIVALS!!"
Riley smirked and put his arm over her shoulder.
"Let's do it then, baby."
The two went on various rollercoasters and had the time of their lives. Riley and Cindy competed in a basketball contest and Riley came out on top.
Cindy officially found out Riley could climb those shaky rope things when they went against each other in that.
They had a lot of fun together and ended the night on a Ferris Wheel.
"Murph, this shit gay. Can't we get back on another ride?"
"Reezy, stop being a punk. This'll be fun, I promise."
Cindy dragged Riley on the ride, him groaning the entire time.
"When is it gonna get fun?" Riley asked.
"Soon."
The two reached the top and suddenly the Ferris Wheel broke.
"Sorry folks," a work began, "we're experiencing some technical difficulties at the moment. We'll have the ride going shortly."
Cindy squealed while Riley groaned.
"Aw, Reezy stop being a baby. Now we can look down on everyone."
Riley looked down for a second before turning quickly.
Cindy finally caught on. She smirked widely.
"What?" Riley questions.
"You're afraid of heights aren't you?"
"No! That shits gay! Young Reezy ain't scared of nothing!"
Cindy raised a brow, unconvinced. She began rocking the cart they were in.
"Nigga, stop!"
"Awww, Reezy is afriad of heights!" Cindy laughed.
Riley folded his arms, looking away. Cindy poked her lip out and leaned close to Riley.
"Aw, I'm sorry baby. Come here," Cindy guided Riley's head towards her and kissed his lips softly. Riley turned away and Cindy pouted. "Baby. Don't be like that."
"Yo ass lucky you sexy," Riley groans kissing her passionately.
Next Monday
After school, Jada and Riley headed to work, Huey driving them.
"Bye Hue," Jada says, kissing Huey in the cheek.
"Be here by 10," Huey says.
"Damn nigga, way to say I love you," Riley grumbles getting out.
"That's gay." Huey says before pulling off.
"He's one irritated muthafucka," Jada rolls her eyes walking in.
Her and Riley were greeted by two girls taking pictures in the front.
"Oh, K.O we got sum people here!" The first girl slapped her friend on the back.
"Ouch! That hurt!" K.O snarled.
K.O was super tall with long dark brown hair and a big butt.
"Hi, we're new here," Jada says with a wave.
"Oh you must be Riley and Jada. I'm Bestfriend and this K.O."
Bestfriend was tall too and had long dark brown hair in a ponytail and wore a black hat.
"Wait, yo name bestfriend?" Riley questions.
"Is that a problem?" K.O looked Riley up and down.
"I know this big bitch ain't trynna start sum!" Riley was getting heated.
"K.O!" Bestfriend yells.
"Riley!" Jada grabbed her brother.
"What's going on here?" A boy asks, walking out.
"Bae, this boy trynna mess with me!" K.O accuses.
"No he's not! Lucky, Imma take her out real quick. Can you help them. They're the new recruits."
Lucky smiled at the two. He was tall as well and had short curly hair and a cute smile.
"Sorry about her. She's been having a rough day. I'm Pat D Lucky, but you can call me Lucky."
Jada smiled, biting her lip. Lucky was cute.
"Reezy. And this my lil sis Jada."
"Hi."
Lucky gave Jada and Riley their uniforms and gave them their first jobs.
Throughout the day, Lucky would flirt with Jada, making Riley eye him from time to time.
"Yo ass forget you gotta boyfriend," Riley said after work. They were waiting for Huey.
"I did not. Lucky was only being nice," Jada protests.
"You said the same shit about Hiro and you saw how that ended."
"Whatever. Lucky is just a cool dude. No need to sweat it. Plus he has a girlfriend."
