Mariana's POV- February 2017
"Did you leave Willy a note?"
I looked at Kasperi and shook my head.
"What if he wakes up?"
"He won't" I replied.
Will was dead asleep when Kasperi and I left the condo.
"What makes you so sure?"
"I gave him a back massage last night" I answered.
"So his moans weren't sex moans?"
Well some of them were, but Kasperi didn't need to know that.
"We should be back by the time he wakes up" I said.
He nodded and looked down at me.
"Please don't embarrass me"
"I promise you that I won't embarrass you" I assured him.
He let out a deep breath and opened the door. My eyes widened as someone crashed into the door that Kasperi had just opened.
"You do that all on your own" I mumbled.
Kasperi glared at me and turned his attention to the blonde who he helped up.
"I'm so sorry"
She shook her head.
"No worries, you'd be surprised how many times I've been hit by this door.
I smiled when I recognized the voice.
"Liz?" I asked.
She looked away from Kasperi and smiled.
"Do you know how nice it is to see a familiar face"
I laughed and hugged her.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Me? I'm doing a semester abroad. What about you? You're supposed to be in California"
I pulled away and nodded.
"I'm here until Tuesday night" I told her.
She looked at Kasperi and smiled.
"For Valentine's day"
"Yeah, it's so nice to see you" I said.
She nodded.
"I don't want to intrude on your time with your boyfriend"
Kasperi began shaking his head and I laughed.
"No, I'm dating his roommate. We just came here because I needed some croissants" I clarified.
I followed her inside and grabbed Kasperi's arm as we walked inside.
"Well in that case let me ring you up"
I turned to Kasperi once she was gone.
"Do you know everyone?"
I laughed.
"No, but we played soccer together at UCLA" I replied.
He nodded slowly and I made my way over to the register.
"How have you been?"
"When I'm not working I'm at school, and when I'm not at school I'm working" I told her.
She nodded.
"I feel you, when you can't find me I'm either at work, class or sleeping"
I nodded agreeing with her.
"How many croissants?"
"Could I get about 7 of those" I replied.
"Of course, anything to drink?"
"Jeff not here?" I asked as I looked at the two baristas making coffee.
"He's got the flu, how do you know him?"
"Ellie was my roommate" I answered.
She hummed and smiled.
"Small world"
I looked at Kasperi.
"You wanted a Vanilla latte, right?" I said.
He nodded.
"Excuse my manners, this is Kasperi" I told Liz.
She smiled.
"It's nice to meet you, I'm Elizabeth"
He offered her a smile and I bit the inside of my cheek to stop from smiling as his cheeks tinted up a bit.
"Well a friend of Mari's is my friend"
She looked back at the screen and I pulled my credit card out of my pocket.
"I'll pay"
Kasperi handed Liz his credit card and I watched as she swiped it.
"Can you sign here?"
She handed him a pen and waited for him to sign the receipt.
"Thank you"
"Enjoy your time in Toronto" I told her.
She smiled and I grabbed Kasperi's arm making him walk behind me.
"So you're telling me that you've been coming to this coffee shop and ordering coffee just to watch her work" I said.
"You make me sound like a creep"
"You kind of are" I admitted.
We took a seat and I smiled at him as he frowned at me. After a minute or two he huffed and leaned back on the chair.
"I take everything back, you're no longer my friend"
I laughed.
"Go get your coffee" I told him.
I stood up as Liz called out my name.
"Here you go"
I smiled as she placed a box in front of me.
"I'm going to be incredibly straight forward" I stated.
She nodded.
"You always are"
I laughed.
"So my friend has a crush on you" I told her.
She looked at me a bit surprised.
"Really?"
"Liz, you're hot" I answered.
She rolled her eyes and shrugged lightly.
"Can I give you his phone number?" I asked.
She looked at me and I smiled as she nodded.
"Ok"
She handed me her phone and I pulled out my phone to get Kasperi's phone number.
"Give him a call, or text him" I said.
I handed her back her phone.
"Let me know when you're back in LA" I told her.
She smiled and I turned to see Kasperi making his way over.
"Ready to go?"
"Yes, bye Liz" I called out.
"Bye"
I followed Kasperi out and I smiled when his phone chimed. He pulled out his phone and looked at the screen.
"Mari"
"Yes?" I asked.
He looked at me.
"I take what I said back, you're the best"
He showed me the screen of his phone, it was a text.
Hi, it's Elizabeth from the coffee shop. Mariana gave me you number
"Let's hurry back now" I told him.
We got to the condo and just as we walked in, my phone began ringing.
"We're downstairs" I called out.
I set the box of croissants on the countertop.
"Good morning sleeping beauty"
I smiled at Will who made his way downstairs.
"Fuck you Kappy"
I laughed.
"Good morning" I greeted.
Will hummed and hugged me pressing his face against my shoulder.
"Morning Love"
