Mariana's POV- May 2016
"Thanks for helping me"
"No worries, I don't mind" I told Ellie as I taped closed a box.
"How much did William pout when you told him I called dibs on you tomorrow morning?"
I laughed and nodded at her because Will had in fact pouted when I told him I wasn't spending the night.
"He's actually dropping by in a bit, he claims he needs to give me something" I said.
"You know Jake isn't here"
"He left?" I asked.
She shook her head.
"His sister's graduation is tomorrow, so he'll be gone until Friday"
"A whole day without Jake? That sounds wonderful" I admitted.
"That's what the meeting was on"
I forgot about that meeting.
"Jake actually called me after to ask why I wasn't there" I told her.
"You're kidding"
I shook my head.
"I'm not" I stated.
"He tried to tell me that it was wrong of me to miss such an important meeting" I said.
She snorted.
"He literally talked about himself for 25 minutes"
"I hung up on him" I admitted.
She laughed.
"This whole floor is done with Jake's shit"
There was a light knock on the door and I raised an eyebrow.
"Coming" I called out.
I opened the door and smiled at Jeff.
"How was your final?" I asked.
I accepted the hug he was leaning down for.
"It was actually quite easy, but I have you to thank for that"
He let go of me.
"Eleanor here?"
I nodded and stepped back so he could walk in.
"Somewhere in here" I joked as he walked in.
I closed the door and he chuckled as he looked around the room.
"A small hurricane hit only your side of the room"
Ellie smiled.
"It was much more messy a few hours ago"
It's true, when I got back I couldn't see the floor. I helped her once my laundry was in the washing machine. I actually had to go to the laundry room in about 5 minutes and get my blouses and jeans.
"I'll give you two some privacy" I said as I grabbed my laundry hamper and phone.
"Do you need help?"
I smiled at Ellie as I opened the door.
"I got it" I told her.
She nodded and I closed the door behind me. I made my way down the hall and down the stairs.
"Hey" I spoke up as I walked into the laundry room.
Fernando smiled as he closed the washer's door.
"I see you're having fun as well"
I laughed and nodded.
"When are you heading back?"
