We were currently talking about stupid stunts that we pulled when we were kids, and Jonah was sitting next to me, when I heard footsteps abruptly stop at me door, and a very familiar voice said "well, isn't this a fucking cozy picture."
And my world stopped.
He found me.
*Third person's pnt. of view*
"So... Veronica is Dead. Like once and for all gone, and will never pester us again." Thought Damien out loud.
"Yep." Was Sarah's straight forward reply.
After Sarah managed to calm her tears, she explained what occurred between her and Veronica, and so Damien found himself and Sarah sitting in the living room, just contemplating the news.
But then his mind snapped to his own news and he declared "I found Jade. I know where she is, but we'd have to go now if we want to get there by tomorrow afternoon. She's one state away." Explained Damien, and Sarah's eyes instantly came back to life, as a jubilous smile erupted on her lips, and she jumped to her feet, dragging Damien to the door, while she yelled out for the twins to hurry.
Sarah just couldn't wait to see her eldest daughter.
Meanwhile, Jade found herself struck to silence by the figure that loomed at her room's doorstep.
"Hello Jade." Said the Oh so familiar voice, with that signature smirk.
"I-uhh." Jade was dumbstruck.
"What? Cat got your tongue? Surprised to see me again?" Questioned the unexpected visitor, as he stalked towards Jade and Jonah in a very poised manner.
"Hey." Managed Jade, as she was finally able to get a word out without stuttering.
"Hi to you too." Replied her visitor with a cold voice, and a hard gaze. Jade quickly found herself looking away not being able to keep up with the intensity of the stare, just as her visitor turned his steel gaze on Jonah, who sat quietly in his seat, watching the scene.
Jonah met the intruders glare right on, and they held it in a stare down contest, until the man spoke up and said "Who the fuck are you?"
"Who wants to know?" Demanded Jonah, still keeping his calm.
"Dean fucking Thompson. Her fiancée! The one she left to die at the altar!" Exclaimed Dean, as he turned around and pulled out a gun in the process, aiming it at Jade, who instantly froze in fear.
"What? What are you talking about? She said she didn't have a boyfriend." Exclaimed Jonah, a little on edge with the gun present.
Jade fixated her gaze on Jonah as she said "I don't have a boyfriend. I have a fiancée. You asked me if I had a boyfriend."
"Wow." Was all that came from Jonah.
"No! Shut up! Shut the fuck up! I'm the one you should be talking to."
"Dean what are y-"
"Don't Jade. Don't you dare address me, not after what you've done." Dean cut Jade off, seething in anger. Although he just said he's the only one she should address.
"What did I do?" Asked Jade, hurt and scared.
"You left me to die!" Claimed Dean.
"WHAT?! I was kidnapped you asshole!" Snapped Jade, her anger suddenly rising.
"Oh cut the crap Jade, seriously. You think I'm gonna believe that?" Asked Dean, as the arm holding the gun started shaking, making Jade even more on edge, although her fear, anger, and hurt were constantly battling to take control.
"You should." Came a very familiar voice, that made Jade's blood run cold.
Oh no, thought Jade, he found me.
"Hey there Jade, long time no see." Spoke Lucas calmly as he sauntered inside Jade's hospital room.
Suddenly, Jade felt like suffocating, the room felt too small, and it didn't help when Lucas came in Jade's peripheral view, as he planted a gun on Dean's temple.
"Hey there Dean, long time no try to kill you." Smiled Lucas, then his evil glare turned on Jade, "Hey they babe. Haven't seen you in a bit. But you didn't think you would hide away from me for long now did you?" He said with a sickly smirk.
"You son of a bitch!" Exclaimed Dean as he turned on Lucas, smacking him across the face with his gun.
Lucas's cheek instantly bled as well as the corner of his mouth, but instead of retaliating, he wipe the blood with his thumb, and licked it. Then he smiled and said " violence is never the answer Dean."
Dean's anger only bubbled and fizzled, and he rammed into Lucas at full force slamming him against the wall, while his fist landed vicious blows on Lucas's stomach, as he expressed Lucas's name in various explicit ways.
Meanwhile, Jonah quietly moved from his seat, and signaled for Jade to be quiet, and he sneaked his way towards Jade's hospital phone, and alerted the security.
Lucas stood against the wall, withstanding Dean's attack, although he winced in pain, he didn't retaliate, instead all he did was keep his eyes on Jade, as he smiled a bloody smile.
Then in one motion, he pushed Dean off, and aimed his gun, placing a bullet perfectly between Dean's eyes, and Jade witnessed the body plummet to the ground, however, the armed hand laid limply besides Jade's legs.
Jade was frozen. She wanted to scream, but it seems lodged in her throat, silenced by fear.
But then again was it fear? I mean, she's witnessed this before, she's witnessed Dean die, but he didn't actually die, he came back.
But reasonably thinking, Jade could tell by the sinking feeling in her heart she knew he wasn't coming back. Not this time.
Then Lucas turned his eyes on Jonah, and aimed his gun as he said "you, lock the door." And Jonah with his hand up, showing sign of surrender, he made his way towards the door and locked it, while Lucas supervised him.
Jade, for a few seconds was still frozen, but when her brain registered the opportunity, she quickly sneaked the gun out of Dean's deadly grip, and under the sheets, then she kicked his lifeless arm off the bed, just as Lucas came back with his hostage.
He pushed Jonah towards the corner and told him to sit on the floor, and then Lucas pulled the chair, and sat down facing Jade, as he stared at her.
And that's all he did, he just stared.
Jade stared back, but she couldn't tell what was going on in his mind. His eyes were closed off, and they seem dangerous, lifeless, yet there was something there, like he was seeing someone else, and maybe he was.
Then Jade remembered, Marley, he sees Marley.
But she's not Marley, and he would have to live with it.
"What do you want Lucas? Why can't you leave me alone?" Demanded Jade.
"Because... I want you." He simply stated.
"No you don't. I'm not Marley! She's dead so get over it!" Snapped Jade, before she could stop herself.
Lucas's eyes became pitch black with anger, and before Jade could blink, he was close to her as the back of his hand came in harsh contact with Jade's cheek, causing her neck to snap sharply to the left.
Jade was dumbstruck. She didn't move, she didn't speak, all that was heard was her rugged breathing, and her heart monitor, and Jonah just stared dumbfounded.
Lucas stood there, staring down at her for a few seconds, then he walked away, and once again sat down in the chair, as he stared at the girl before him.
An image so pure, so beautiful, so unique, so familiar, but Jade was right, thought Lucas, she was no Marley.
Marley is gone, but he couldn't get over it.
He just couldn't.
She was his first everything, and now, realization hit, she was gone, and she wasn't coming back, and there was one thing left to do.
Jade finally mustered the strength, and lifted her eyes and stared daggers at Lucas, and there she found him placing his gun in his mouth.
Lucas couldn't handle it anymore, if she wasn't coming back, then he had no purpose left in the world.
And he was ready to end it all.
Until he realized something, no matter how much reason Jade made him see, in the end, she left him.
She ran away from him, and he wasn't going to let her get away with it.
So he slowly removed the gun from within his mouth, and once again aimed it at Jade, and he said "if I go, you're coming too." And just as he placed his finger on the trigger, Jade pulled out her stashed away gun, and shot three bullets into Lucas's body.
Lucas seem taken aback for a second, as if he hadn't realized that he's been shot, but then when he staggered back, and his vision started blurring in and out, he knew it was time.
He smiled at Jade, for once, a very genuine smile. He was at peace. She put him out of his misery, and he was ever so thankful, so as his body plummeted to the floor, his soul was finally free.
And just like that, within a matter of minutes, Jade witnessed two deaths, one done by her own hands, and she couldn't help it, she sighed in relief.
She was finally able to breathe.
It was over.
