William's POV- January 2016
I wrapped a towel around my waist and pushed the shower curtain open.
"The environment could have been saved if you had let me shower with you" I stated.
Mariana laughed and made her way out of the bathroom. I frowned when I realized she was dressed and ready.
"I'm starving"
I made my way out of the bathroom and into the room.
"I think we've got eggs" I told her.
"How do you survive?"
I laughed and grabbed a pair of boxers.
"We get fed before practice" I answered as I made my way back to the bathroom.
I slipped off my towel and slipped on my boxers. I turned on my hairdryer and dried my hair a bit. I made a face as Careless Whisper was played somewhere in the apartment. Mariana was not in my room anymore, so I quickly changed because if walked out in just my boxers I'd hear it from the company here. I walked out of my room and towards the living room where I could hear voices.
"Looks like Willy is up!"
I looked at Kappy who grinned.
"Is he bothering you?" I asked Mariana.
She smiled and glanced at me.
"He brought pancake mix"
"How thoughtful of him" I said.
"I figured you used up some calories"
Mariana hummed.
"What are you talking about Kasperi, Will and I watched Superbad and went to bed. Get your mind out of the gutter"
He frowned a bit and raised an eyebrow at me.
"Is that what you two did, Willy?"
I looked at Mariana.
"What was it you told me last time?" I asked her.
She looked at Kappy in the eye.
"Even though Will is not American he pleas the fifth"
He threw his head back as he laughed.
"Is the toast burning?"
The toast popped out of the toaster and he shook his head.
"No mam"
She placed a pancake on a plate and poured some batter on the pan. A phone began ringing and she glanced at Kappy.
"Can you get that for me, don't answer it though"
He stood up and made his way towards the living room.
"Who's Georgie?"
He handed her the phone and she looked at the screen.
"My brother"
She answered the phone call and I looked at Kappy who wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"Hello"
She nodded as she flipped the pancake.
"Yeah, you know where the keys are"
She laughed.
"Alright, get an oil change this weekend"
She smiled.
"Ok, bye love you"
She ended the call and placed her phone on the kitchen counter.
"What's with the ancient phone?"
Mariana looked at Kappy.
"I kind of broke my phone I had at home, and my replacement didn't make it in time. This is the replacement of the replacement"
He nodded slowly.
"What kind of phone do you have back home?"
"An iPhone 6"
He hummed.
"Not the plus?"
"I have small hands"
He smiled.
"That you do"
"Don't you have somewhere else to be annoying?" I asked.
He grinned.
"My car is in the shop, I'm getting a ride from Loov"
I nodded.
"Where is he?"
Kappy looked at Mariana.
"Showering"
A light ding was heard and I walked over to the coffee pot.
"You are witnessing Willy's obsession with coffee"
"It's not an obsession" I stated.
Kappy stood up and made his way over to me. He moved me and opened a drawer.
"Exhibit A"
Mariana smiled and nodded as she looked at the stacked coffee drawer.
"Exhibit B"
He opened another cabinet.
"Why so much coffee?"
Kappy grinned.
"So he ran out of coffee one day, it was hilarious. We were running late as well so we couldn't go get coffee. He pouted the entire flight and sulked"
"Go away" I told him.
Mariana laughed.
"I shouldn't offer him any coffee, right?" I asked her.
Kappy frowned as I pulled out two mugs.
"That's just mean"
"Breakfast is ready!"
I poured coffee in both mugs and made my way over to Mariana.
"For you" I said.
"Thank you"
I smiled and handed her the mug.
"If you drink it black I will judge you"
I chuckled as Mariana looked at Kappy right in the eye as she took a gulp of coffee.
"Judge away"
He rolled his eyes and I took a seat next to her.
"Morning"
Mariana smiled at Viktor as she put some creamer on her coffee.
"Breakfast is ready"
"Feel free to spend the night if you're making breakfast"
She laughed and we began eating. It was nice to see that she got along so well with my teammates and close friends. I didn't exactly know what we were though, and I wasn't ready for a relationship. I was attracted to her, and the sex had been mind-blowing. I had to talk to her about this, hopefully today.
"I should drop you off" I told her.
She nodded.
"Yeah, let me go get my stuff"
I nodded and she walked down the hallway.
"Please tell me you hit that?"
"You need to stop talking like that" I stated.
Kappy frowned.
"I'll see you guys at practice" I said as I heard the door to my room close.
"Oh yeah, you get to practice with us today"
I nodded and glanced up as Mariana walked into the living room.
"Ready?" I asked.
She nodded and adjusted the duffle bag on her arm.
"It was nice seeing you two"
The guys nodded at her and she waved goodbye as I followed her out.
"UCLA Soccer, we will talk about this later!"
Mariana laughed as I closed the door.
"I'll carry that for you" I told her.
She handed me her duffle bag.
"There's a chance I'll be going on this road trip" I said.
"That's good, right?"
I nodded and got into the elevator with her.
"Sleep well?" I asked.
"The few hours I slept"
I smiled at her.
"I'm not apologizing for that" I stated.
"And you shouldn't"
We made our way out of the elevator and towards the parking structure.
"Hopefully you can make it to a game when we play at home" I told her.
"When is your next home game?"
"This Saturday" I replied.
She made a face.
"Raincheck?" I asked.
"Yeah, I've got a review for one of my classes. We've got a quiz that is 30% of my grade on Monday"
I raised an eyebrow.
"So it's an exam" I said.
"Basically, but I'm a little rusty when it comes to World History"
I nodded and she smiled.
"But I will go to the next home game"
"I'll let you know then" I told her.
She nodded and we got into my car.
"What time do you have practice?"
"Nine" I replied.
I looked at the time and saw it was 8:20AM.
"Let's talk about us"
I nodded and looked at her.
"I'm here for the semester"
She pushed her hair back.
"So let's not label this?"
"Really?" I asked a bit surprised.
She nodded.
"Yeah, let's just enjoy ourselves"
"Ok" I found myself agreeing.
She smiled.
"Ok, thank god"
She let out a deep breath and put on her seatbelt.
"Will you be seeing other guys?" I asked.
She laughed.
"No guys have caught my attention"
It was a bit selfish of me, but I didn't like sharing.
"I'll let you know if it happens"
I nodded.
"What about you?"
"I'm just seeing you" I admitted.
She nodded.
"Ok, I'm here until May so let's enjoy it"
I turned on the car.
"Hopefully I don't bump into Jake right now"
"Is he giving you trouble?" I asked.
I glanced at her as I pulled into the street and began driving.
"Remember where you parked?"
I nodded.
"Well he towed two cars Sunday night"
"Someone needs to get laid" I stated.
"He wants to individually talk with us"
"What a creep" I said.
"That's what Ellie said!"
The drive was short since there was no traffic. It was a first, but who was I to complain. I pulled up to the parking spot and turned to her.
"Will he tow my car if I walk you to your dorm?" I asked.
"Probably"
I nodded.
"I'll text you"
I grabbed her hand and smiled.
"I want a kiss" I told her.
She laughed and leaned in. I closed my eyes as I deepened the kiss.
"Get it Mari!"
I laughed against her lips and pulled away.
"Morning William"
I lowered the window and squeezed Mariana's hand before she got out of the car.
"Good Morning Ellie" I said.
"Sleep well?"
"I slept great" I answered.
Ellie smiled and looked at Mariana who made her way over to her.
"You're going to be late to practice"
Ellie looked at me.
"You're practicing?"
"First day back" I told her.
"Nice, well have fun"
