I looked at Cayden and furrowed my eyebrows at him, questioning his sudden presence through my eyes. He looks at me and smiles, I think he didn't quite understand.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in an ever-so-serious tone.

"What do you mean what am I doing here? Get in," He says, not answering my question as I rolled my eyes at him. He didn't understand again.

"Oh, you mean both of us?" Amelia shots out of nowhere and I look behind me to give Amelia a look to shut up, "I mean you guys go ahead." Amelia smiles and I shoot her another look, telling her to knock it off.

"You know what," Amelia says as she soon walks towards me, "I'll see you in school later," She says before leaving me all alone with Cayden.

I look at Cayden who appears to be smiling right at me, "You do know that we'll be late to school if you'll just keep on standing there all day," Cayden says.

"Well, I didn't even tell you to come here and pick me up."

"And a thank you would honestly suffice instead," Cayden says. "But if you don't want, I'll just head to school without you and leave you alone here for you to wait for the school bus to pick you up..."

I rolled my eyes and opened the passenger seat's car door and hopped inside. I rolled down the window and stuck my head out, "What are you still doing there? Come on!" I said and he smiles at me before entering his car.

I buckled up my seat belt and felt his breath caress my skin when I looked ahead of me, the first thing I saw was Cayden's nose touching mine, "Okay, woah there. Hi, mister trouble," I told him. "Aren't you familiar with the word 'space'?" I said.

"I certainly do," Cayden says.

"M'kay then, drive," I told him and he flashes me another smile before he turns on his engine and starts driving.

This weird crazy feeling, I'm not liking it at all. I turned to my side and watch how fast we pass by the trees and soon before I know it, we're out of my neighborhood. I suddenly missed the comforts of my bed.

We arrived at school in less than 10 minutes. It was a quiet ride on the way to school but I wouldn't argue about it since I won't trade anything for that to happen again (the quietness, I mean). I stepped out of the car and saw Amelia already approaching me.

"Feels nice to finally get to ride in his car, huh?" She says as I furrow my eyebrows and gave her a questioning look as she looks over at Cayden who is now trying to squeeze his way out of these girls who are madly in love with him.

"What does that even mean?" I asked her.

"I rode his car once," Amelia says as she continues to watch Cayden, which is kind of getting weird by the second it gets longer, "No actually, I rode with him a bunch of times with this exact same car he's using."

I gave her another questioning look. Amelia seems to be too serious right now and these past few days, I'm starting to question it. It's as if the old Amelia has left and a new Amelia entered her soul.

"What are you--"

I was cut off when she suddenly grabs my wrist and takes me inside the school, "We're going to be late," She says and I just followed her.

Once I entered the school, in just a blink of an eye, I go spinning around and was met with the eyes of the most disgusting human being I have ever laid my eyes on before, "Good morning, Gorgeous," Levi says.

I let go of his hand on my waist but then he managed to peck my lips before I got his hands off of me, "You are such an expert on ruining people's mornings," I said.

"Aww, babe," Levi says as he makes this awful, creepy-looking smile. "That's not how we say 'Good Morning' right?" He says.

"I already had a Good Morning until you showed up and ruined it, thanks," I said sarcastically as Amelia taps my shoulder. I looked at her and she gazes at the lockers, telling me to grab our stuff before we get late to class.

I left Levi and followed Amelia to her locker, "So, have you thought about going?" Amelia suddenly pops up the question.

Last night, when we couldn't sleep at around 3 AM in the morning, I brought up about wanting to go back to the beach since It's been a long time and it would be nice to finally go this upcoming summer break.

But then, Amelia suddenly brings something up that she was planning or maybe she has already planned that she and her brother are going to the beach and staying there for three to five days or even a week, like a little getaway from all the drama they are having at their own household.

Though, going to a beach this spring break sounds really nice and relaxing.

I mean, who would even say no to a free invitation to go to a beach with your friend this spring break, right? I do, I think.

"I mean, come on! You said so yourself," Amelia says as we started walking towards my locker, "You wanted to go back to the beach and Tada! Here's your wish!" Amelia says as I roll my eyes and smiled quietly.

"We will be staying in a beach house, you don't have to worry about that. We will be safe. Plus, my brother will be there to take care of us," She says, sounding like we were a bunch of ten-year-olds planning an escape without having our parents to know about our whereabouts at midnight, past our bed-times.

I looked at her and Amelia planted a smile on her face as if she was really sure that everything is going to be alright, "I'll think about it," I rolled my eyes.

Amelia lets a groan out of her mouth and rolls her eyes at me, "You already said that last night!" She says.

"Yeah, but when I said that first, I meant that I wasn't going to think about it but now that I've said it, I promise that I'm really going to think about it," I told her and she rolls her eyes and nods her head.

"Fine," She says, "But at the end of the day, make sure you have really thought about it, okay?" She asks for reassurance.

"Okay," I replied.

After three periods, it was already recess. I told Ethan to join us at the cafeteria this morning and he agreed. I was planning on inviting him to come along with us at the beach this spring break because I know how badly he also wants to go back to the beach.

We haven't been there for years now. After all the moving from town to town with Ethan, following me. I'm starting to think that his mom hates me because of how Ethan just seems to be tailing me around wherever I go. It's like he's madly in love with me like I do... with him.

But he doesn't know that and I don't want him to know that any time soon.

I was startled when a lunch tray aggressively lands on the table and as I look up I saw Ethan with this look I can't much describe; If he was pissed or mad at something. "Can you not believe it? My mom wants to go back to Connecticut and live with her older sister, which by the way, is so mean to me!"

I gave Ethan a look, "Are you moving away?" I asked. I suddenly got sad at the thought of him leaving me. I'm not used to him, being not around me. Please tell me no.

"No."

Thank God.

"I don't know," He says making me question his answer, "I'm just... I don't know. I want to be here with you but I also want to be with my mom but not with her sister--my so-called aunt who is like an evil witch."

"Then tell her no?" I sound so selfish right now. "I mean, whatever is your choice. I'm sure she can respect that, right?" I forced a smile on my face.

"Sure, she does," He rolls eyes, making his words pathetic to hear. "Anyway, you said you wanted to talk to me about something?" He asks as I shake my head and plaster the same smile on my face.

"I was wondering if you would like to come with us this spring break," I say, "Amelia's planning to go to the beach," I told him and he gave me this look as if I was joking or something.

He blinks his eyes, "A-are you serious?" He stutters. I gave him a weird look and nodded my head slowly, "For real?" He askes.

"Uhm, yeah? Why? If you don't want to come, you can say no. It's that simple--"

"No, no, no," He says, "I'm just surprised because we never even had time--you never even had time to go to the beach anymore. Even before I asked you but you would always say no," He says and I gave him a look to knock it off before someone starts questioning me.

Amelia shifted her gaze at me and I looked at her and just smiled, "I thought you didn't go to the beach because no one wants to come with you?" Amelia asks, remembering what I just told her last night.

"It's true," I said. Amelia looked at Ethan and gave him a questioning look and then she gave me a questioning look.

"Okay, now I'm confused," Amelia says as she grabs the apple on her lunch tray and took a huge bite on it.

I gave Ethan a look, "What I meant to say was... Your mom told me you were busy so I thought you never wanted to come along and that maybe your mom didn't tell you that I was planning on going to the beach with you and my family?" Ethan says, more like questioning it.

I pointed at Ethan, smiling, "Exactly!" I say as I release a deep breath, "I can't believe my mom didn't tell me about that, she knew how much I wanted to go to the beach, building sandcastles, swimming and having fun in the sun."

"Well, now that you're older... You can come along now, with us, of course," Amelia says as she looks at me and plasters a genuine smile on her face. "So, you wanna join us?" She directs her gaze at Ethan and Ethan nods his head while smiling.

"Great, can't wait," I said and with that, we all finished eating our snacks and decided to head to our next class for the day.
