Nepgear and Uni went to a nearby gun store, Uni is a firearm enthusiast and there seems to be a release on the latest rifle model, Nepgear, is more interested on taking the rifle apart and modifying it to her specifications though.
Uni: "Awesome! The grip is really comfortable to the hold, the barrel is stable and the chamber is really clean!"
Nepgear: "Hmm... so that's how it works...then maybe if I do this... then..."
Uni: "What are you doing Nepgear?"
Nepgear: "Oh! Uni, remember that time with God Eater?"
Uni: "You mean the bullet modding? Of course, but we kinda messed that up though."
Nepgear: "Yeah, but here's what I got, can we try it?"
Uni: "Alright, let's test it out then."
The two moved to the testing grounds and, Nepgear's modded bullets are all concentrated on fire power so the two looked for a secure place to test it out...
Nepgear: "This place should be relatively safe. You ready Uni?"
Uni: "Yeah, First bullet loaded."
Nepgear: "Ready....Fire!"
Uni: "Hmph!"
With a squeeze of the trigger, energy began to accumulate in the rifle's barrel, the chamber activates triggering the modded bullet, the cartridge flies off to the side and the bullet flies out of the energy filled barrel, as the bullet flies through, the energy that it had just passed through followed the bullet and as it hits the target, the energy undergoes combustion and explodes into a beautiful fireball, that sticks and constantly damages the target...
Nepgear: "Hooray! It worked!"
Uni: "Amazing, that was so powerful...Ow!"
Nepgear: "What's wrong Uni?"
Uni: "My hand... got burned...But how?"
The generated heat radiated from the rifle heating up the entirety of firearm, the wooden pistol grip had charred marks all over it and some of the metal bindings, were slightly glowing red...
Uni: "Ow... That stings quite a bit..."
Nepgear: "Oh no! Here let me heal that up for you..."
Nepgear places her hands on top of Uni's and....
<Cue the Magical Lilies on the background and give me some of that sassy trumpet mister!>
Uni: "Thanks, you're the best Nepgear..."
Nepgear: "No, I'm the one that caused you this... That bullet I modded... I'm sorry..."
Uni: "Oh come on, we've been through tougher times right."
Nepgear: "True... and you've always been there for me Uni..."
Uni: "Of course I would be there you're a friend."
Nepgear: "Right... a friend... Just like Rom and Ram, and everyone else right?"
Uni: "Nepgear..."
Nepgear: "What am I saying!? That's just obvious, right? Aha..ahahaha!"
Uni: "Actually, Nepgear I..."

Uni: "Well...yeah, the others are friends, but you... You're special..."

The gazed into each others eyes, it is not a small spark, it is a flame... A big ROARING flame! And the both of them feel it now burning ever brighter... Their face flush a red hue, their breathing getting heavier and their heart beats even quicker... Nepgear gazed upon Uni's eyes with passion as she slowly pins her down...
Uni: "Nepgear..!"
A small yelp escapes Uni's lips as Nepgear looks at her from above... like small creature cowering from the blazing eyes of it's predator... Uni felt defenseless as she shivers from the sensation of the cold grass on her fair skin...
Nepgear: "Uni..."
Nepgear's hand brushes along Uni's slender legs, her other arm keeps on healing Uni's burnt hand, consumed by emotion and having all inhibition lost, she brings Uni's burnt hand to her mouth... She licks it playfully...
Uni: "Hya! Uuuu~ that tickles..."
Nepgear: "Huhu~ You're so cute Uni..."
Uni: "Mmmm...Nya!...Nnn.. Fua!"
Everything else is lost from their sight and all they see were each other...
Schwarz: "Uhh... Ladies...?"

The twins hurried and raced over to Vert's room... in the meantime, Blanc approached Weiz.
Blanc: "Now, you're done with the twins, its my turn now..."
Weiz: "Seriously though, what can I even teach you...?"
Blanc: "How about you show me how you use your beast Amon?"
Weiz: "Look, I have no control over him ok, He may be sealed within me, but he only shows up when I'm mad, or in pain."
Blanc: "I see, well then...That can be arranged..."
*Woosh* Blanc summons her hammer, confirms that the twins are far and literally hits Weiz on the head with her hammer.
Weiz"AHHHHHH!!!!"
Blanc: "Stop whining, you're a big boy aren't you?"
Weiz: "kh...k-k-k-k...khh....ughhh!"
Blanc: "That's more like it..."
With his hair going red and his eyes glowing bright Weiz summoned his axe and swings at Blanc...
Weiz: "Haah!"
The ground had red crystals popping out of it when Weiz's axe made contact with it.
Blanc: "Bring it! Beasty!"
Weiz: "Graaaaaaahhhhhhh!"
And so Blanc clashes with Weiz as he goes berserk... Blanc goes neck in neck with Weiz, her hammer beating on Weiz with power, Weiz on the other hand swings mercilessly at Blanc, his axe causing major damage to Blanc...
Blanc: "Hah!"
Weiz: "Guha!"
Hitting Weiz in the stomach caused the air to expel from his lungs, he doubles over, Blanc takes this opportunity to lay waste on Weiz...but...
Weiz: "Hah!"
With one single swing Weiz drove his axe into the ground causing red pillars of crystals to explode and shards of it fly in every direction
Blanc: "Aw Crap!"
Some shards got Blanc by the ankle, the cut was deep, and now Blanc is at the mercy of Weiz's rage...
Blanc: "Damn it! I knew this was a bad Idea... But I had to try..."
Weiz: "Hah...hah...hah...RAAAAAAGHHHHH!!!!!"
Blanc: "I guess this is for now, time to sleep ya big brute!"
With her hammer in her hand Blanc takes a stance... as Weiz charges at her, Blanc threw her hammer at Weiz with so much force, that when it made contact, a huge explosion erupted knocking Weiz of his feet flinging him into the air...
Weiz: "HWAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
Blanc: "Heh... Hard Break..."
The boys body falls hard into the ground... while completely drained and exhausted... Weiz was able to regain his composure
Weiz: "uhh...Damn..."
Blanc: "Welp... I'm never doing that again..."

Blanc: "Heh, I wasn't even that crazy...Urgh!"

Looking closer Weiz noticed Blanc's injury...

Raising her hammer high Blanc gives Weiz a menacing glare...

Blanc: "Ahh! Hey what are you doing!?"
with no hesitation or what so ever Weiz held Blanc's left leg and <Cue me that Violin solo Maestro!>

After hearing what Weiz had in mind, Blanc gave in and stayed still... Weiz was going to heal her injury...

Realizing the difference in tone and the way the thought was projected, Blanc went silent for a few seconds...

Weiz: "Those fighting words are invalid, you made me go berserk, let's see you fight me when I have my wits with me... What did you even learn anyway..."
Blanc: "Well for one, I saw how Amon 'possessed' you, and two, I can now vaguely sense someone inside you..."
Weiz: "That fact... you're a clever girl..."
Blanc: "I'm not a CPU just because I'm cute you know..."
Weiz: "I don't know about 'cute' but you are one heck of a Goddess."
Blanc: "I sure am, aren't I?"
Weiz: "Whatever... Need a lift?"
Blanc: "Urgh...hah... Do you mind?"
Weiz: "Not at all..."
Picking Blanc up, Weiz felt the girls hand around his neck clinging for support, for a brief moment their eyes reflect each other, Weiz wraps his arm around Blanc's back and legs, as he gently carries her back to the Basilicom. Blanc Leans to Weiz's chest and gives in to the warm embrace, Weiz kept walking slowly as to not irate the girl in his arms... The walk was silent but they both knew that no words were needed...
Let's leave these two for now and let's check on Schwarz and Noire...
Noire: "So how'd it go in there...? Uhh hey are you okay?"
Schwarz: <That wasn't what I think it was was it? I mean their both girls and their just close friends right? But that licking...No, maybe it was just to disinfect the wounds, but wait it was already healed! so her licking the hand was unnecessary unless...UNLESS...AHHHHHHHH!!!!!>
Noire: "Hey get yourself together!"
Schwarz: "I was..wha...! Umm! Just...uuhhh..."
Noire: "What did you see in there that made you so--- *Gasp*"
seeing what Schwarz was thinking about made Noire's eyes go wide.
Schwarz: "No! don't look! It's not what it looks like! <Why am I the one saying this?> Maybe it was just an accident and uh... maybe she was just disinfecting her wound you know...<Yeah right totally believable...>
Noire: "Those two...No, I have to make sure."
Schwarz: "Yes exactly!"
Noire: "Maybe it was just uh...uh... the after effects of the...hah...who am I kidding..."
Schwarz: "So...Do those two swing that way...?"

Upon arrival The two met up with the twins who were enjoying some Leanbox confectioneries with Vert...

Rom: "Hello~"

Noire: "Hi there, so how goes training...?"
Ram: "It was fun!"
Rom: "Yeah~ We were practicing how to make solid ice barriers, I had mine shaped like a rabbit~"
Schwarz: "Well, isn't that cute."
Noire: "Hard to tell if it was training at all..."
Ram: "Here watch what I can do!"
Schwarz: "Alright let's see..."
While the twins play with Schwarz Noire Approached Vert...
Noire: "So how goes your day- Ah!"
As Vert turned to face her, Noire saw Vert's face chalk full of sweets and her bangs even has chocolate on it...
Vert: "It was horrible! What is that little monster! He blew me away again...and again...AND AGAIN!"
Noire: "Whoah really?"
Vert: "Yes! I kept trying but I just can't beat him! His hold in the element of air is way beyond my abilities!"
Noire: "But I thought you already beat him in that illusory vision?"
Vert: "Indeed, but this form of his was different, he's fast, precise and strong! I couldn't even lay a single strike on him!" And that wind... so powerful, I can't even repel it!"
Noire: "No way!"
Vert is known to be the strongest wind caster of all the CPUs so having someone trump her from her own element is just too much to believe for Noire.
Vert: "Oooo! It's frustrating, Nng! I will beat him, someday I will, for sure!"

Seeing the dark aura surrounding Vert, Noire took a step back and decided not to dig any further... Looking towards Schwarz, she saw the guy smiling happily while enjoying the Company of Twins...
Rom: "See~ I can make this ice crystal shine by bouncing the light around inside!"
Schwarz: "That's amazing!"
Ram: "Lookie here! Catch!"
Schwarz: "Whoah! Hey now, that was dangerous."
Ram: "Ahaha, don't be such a wimp, that was just snow!"
Schwarz: "You two are amazing, did Weiz taught you all this?"
Rom: "Uhuh~ But he said not to use it to full power though..."

Ram: "Well, for one I can make those snow bullets into hard and cool ice crystals."

Noire: "Oh you haven't seen what they can do to mess up some baddies."

Noire: "Anyway, What do you mean he's not as strong as you? He defeated Vert who is one of the strongest CPUs... so..."
Schwarz: "Here maybe this will help..."
Taking out a piece of paper and a pen Schwarz explained how Grun is the most respected of them all... Grun as a Lord is nothing special at all, he protects his people and provides safety under his wings... When compared to his Siblings, Grun is not stronger than Weiz, his eyes are not that sharp unlike Schwarz, and his speed is nothing compared to Naptunio...
Blanc: "Then why is he highly praised by you three?"
Weiz: "Because he was the one who honed our skills."
Schwarz: "That's right, his training is brutal and at times even impossible, however he showed us how to overcome each and had us hone our abilities to the fullest."
Noire: "I see so that's why..."
Neptunio: "But that's not all..."
Carrying a sleeping Neptune on his back was Neptunio...
Schwarz: "Neptunio, welcome back."
Weiz: "Hey there brother..."
Blanc: "So what else is there about Grun?"
Neptunio: "I don't know if you've heard, but Medaia... or Emerald has been trying to pull prank on him for a very long time now...However Emerald will always fail no matter how complicated the prank was..."
Blanc: "Why is that?"
Weiz: "It's simple... Grun is the wisest of us all..."
Noire: "What?"
Schwarz: "It's true, Grun is the smartest among us, he is able to analyze and see the outcome before something even happens, sometimes he's even 3 steps ahead when it comes to battle, add his ability to manipulate air and he is a one man army."
Neptunio: "He maybe weaker than us physically, but his mind functions faster than any console."
Weiz: "Brains over Fists I guess..."
Blanc: "That's quite intriguing if you ask me..."
Noire: "Yeah, kinda makes me want to see for myself though..."
just then a gust of wind blows from the window...
Grun: "Is that a challenge my little Goddess?"
Vert: "There you are! Were not done yet you hear me!?"

The air is tense and everyone is on edge, this little boy literally just brought a new wind into the room, Vert has questions in need of answers, Blanc and Noire are curious to see what Grun can do... and...

Neptune narrowly dodged a burst of air from Grun's attack. The four CPUs are struggling against Grun, not only is he lethal with his attacks his barrier of air is damn near impossible to penetrate.
Noire: "This is impossible!"
Weiz: "Alright now this is really irritating!"
Vert: "He's playing with us, he did this to me already!"
Neptune: "Whatever guys! can you get out of cover and help me!!!"
And so Neptune is stuck running around dodging blasts of air...
Weiz: "Hey help her..."
Neptunio: "Nah... She can handle it."
Schwarz: "She is running around like you would Neptunio."
Weiz: "Yeah... wait..."
Neptunio: "Uh-oh..."
Schwarz: "No, hey, not here! Don't come here!"
Neptunio: "See ya...*zip*"

Uni: "Uh... Nepgear, your breaking the fourth wall like your sister..."

Uni: "A can of coffee would be nice."

While Nepgear went out to get some drinks, Uni leisurely sat down and thought about what happened earlier...when...

With her hands to her chest, Uni was utterly confused, for moment Emerald was talking to her teasingly but now she saw Nepgear in front of her with a concerned look...

After Uni accepted the drink, Emerald stood up and looked around frantically...

Out of nowhere a thick cloud of dark mist erupted from a nearby bush and it blocked out the sun... The surroundings became as dark as midnight hindering the Trios sight... then a robotic male voice resounded in the area
???: "Engaging targets"
Emerald: "Who's there!?"
Nepgear: "AgH! Something's got me! Whoa!"
Uni: "Nepgear!"
Uni raised her fire arm and aimed behind Nepgear, the bullet hits the target and it releases Nepgear...
Emerald: "You two stay behind me, and no matter what happens do not leave my side!"
With her four spears summoned emerald impaled them into the ground forming a square and erecting a barrier, in the meantime, they are safe from outside contact however it won't be long until the barrier breaks as the enemy has begun attacking the barrier... For now Emerald Telepathically contacted Grun...
Emerald: <Grun it's begun send back up right now! There's so many of them, shadows are all around us!>
At the Basilicom...
Grun: <Emerald... Got it, I'm sending the Planeptunians there now>
The blasts of heavy air stopped all of a sudden and the CPUs emerged from their hiding place...
Noire: "Hey... Why'd you stop?"
Grun: "It's begun..."
Weiz: "..."
Schwarz: "So it has...Neptunio!"
Neptunio: "On it..."
Grun: "Go with him Neptune..."
Neptune: "What's going on?"
Grun: "Nepgear and Uni are in trouble hurry!"
Neptune: "Roger!"
Vert: "Wait what is going on here, what has begun?"
Schwarz: "We have to go now, we don't have time to explain."
Noire: "What happened to Uni!?"
Weiz: "Nothing yet, for now Emerald is protecting them."
Blanc: "Then we have to go and help them!"
Grun: "I'm afraid I must stop you there."
Noire: "What? why!?"
Grun: "Having every single CPU present in one unsecured location, is like a free meal for the enemy. You two will stay here, and protect the twins."
After saying his piece Grun levitated in Mid-air and riding the wind he flies unto the streets of Leanbox...
Blanc: "He does have a point..."
Noire: "But Uni's there, I should be there too..."
Blanc: "Calm down Noire, Let's just trust in them, ok?"
Noire: "You're right...I hope they're okay..."
Running through the streets were Neptune and Neptunio, they bypassed several obstacles and are now heading to where Nepgear and Uni are.
Neptune: "Hey, is this your vision Nio?"
Neptunio: "No, not exactly..."
Neptune: "That's kind of reassuring and worrying actually, It's still daylight and this is happening... I thought shadows don't come out during the day."
Neptunio: "Not necessarily, shadows hide from sunlight, if there is a place where the sun can't reach then they can go there..."
Neptune: "But, wait, Nep Jr. and Uni are in a well lit place."
Neptunio: "Then I guess we're about to find out, have to find out."
Overhead was Grun and Schwarz, coming from behind was Weiz with a make-shift board made of solid ice...
Grun: "Schwarz, scout the area, see if there are any enemies hiding in the vicinity."
Schwarz: "Understood."
Grun: "Weiz, make sure to erect a solid barrier around the Candidates once you get close."
Weiz: "Got it!"
Grun: "Neptune, make sure Weiz reaches them don't let any shadow hinder his way."
Neptune: "I'll be slicin and dicin! On it!"
Grun: "Tunio, Isolate the leader of the attack, I doubt these mindless shadows did this all by themselves..."
Neptunio: "Roger..."
The park came into view with a dark mist ominously spreading from it... The group arrived and was immediately confronted by a dark machine with eyes as white as starlight, it raises its blade to face them.
Neptune: "Hey! What the Nep!"
???: "State your Names..."
Grun: "I could tell you the same thing..."
???: "Fine... I am Mond, 3rd Generation Assault Mechanoloid, Class: Tracer"
With his introduction finished, Neptunio steps forward and does the same...

The two exchanged blows allowing time for Neptune and the others to penetrate the mist...

While in the mist the three kept fighting the lesser shadows whilst moving through, finally they reach their goal. But they are met with adversity... Gigantic shadows were approaching them form all sides...

Grun: "Hurry Weiz make the Barrier!"

Ice began to build up from the ground up, the solid dome of ice shielded the candidates from harm and now it's time to clear the area... Neptune and Weiz fought off the lesser shadows, however the big ones weren't falling down at all, add the fact that mist in this particular area is thicker, it made the battle a lot harder...
Emerald: "Grun, their too strong!"
Grun: "Alright, we'll have to 'that' then... You ready?"
Emerald: "Yeah."
Grun and Emerald joined hands and
Neptune: "Uhh guys... We need some help here...huh?"
From behind Neptune hears something a chant... Weiz hears it too and erects a large wall to slow down the giants...
Weiz: "Hey! Neptune, help me buy some time!"
Neptune: "On it! Uyaahhhh!!! HDD go!"
A blast of purple light and Neptune enters HDD... She then shreds through the waves of enemies, her power is far greater than before and she manages to take one of the giants down.
Purple Heart: "Alright, now only four left..."

The two kept fighting the giants, buying as much time as they can...

Weiz: "Great, now hurry! to the Candidates!"
In Weiz's command, Purple Heart flies to her sister's side and lies low under Weiz's dome of ice... from the outside, whirling winds and deadly blasts of air
Nepgear: "Are you ok sis?"
Purple Heart: "I'm fine, how about you?"
Nepgear: "I'm ok, we tried to hold them off as best we can, we kept strengthening the barrier that Emerald erected and..."
Purple Heart: "Shh... It's alright I'm here, I won't let anything happen to you..."
Uni: "What about Noire?"
Weiz: "Your sister wanted to come too, but Grun made her stay put, it's already enough that you two got ambushed, bringing them too would risk them being targeted by the enemy too..."

Having decided what to do, the group set off on a search and destroy mission, the machines were located near lamp posts so finding them was easy... Weiz smashes the last machine to bits and signals Grun.

by ordering the air to spread out, the remaining dark mist thinned out allowing sunlight to shine down on the giants unable to withstand the light, the shadows melted and not long after that, they disappeared into thin air...
A few meters away was Neptunio winning the fight against Mond...

Mond: "Shut it boy... you ain't winning yet..."

Leaving Neptune to save the candidates Neptunio dashed towards the dark Machine holding the nets... However he was blocked continuously by clones hindering his approach, when he was finally close to where Schwarz is the Machine had already taken to the air...

for somewhat of a miracle, Schwarz was able to muster enough energy to charge a blast underneath Neptunio, propelling him upwards...

With a pressurized air blast, Grun ripped through the clones destroying them... He then looks up to Neptunio...

The situation was getting worse... Blanc stands firm to protect her twins while they buff her up.

As Blanc swings her hammer in a wide arc she hits a solid part, and it revealed the White machine blocking her hammer... Vert's face goes pale as she realized what Sonne was planning...

Sonne retracted her blades and placed her hands on Blanc's Chest, she then reactivated her blades which gives a powerful force which could have ended Blanc if not for the protective barrier that the twins gave her... Sonne and Mond - The names of the Black and White Robots of this chapter means Sun and Moon, these robots were actually made Lowee and were shipped to Leanbox used as mercenaries for the guild
Muni-Muni-Mu - When Luna was squishing the Twins face, it was referenced a scene in the Anime Yosuga no Sora.
Grun and Emerald's Prayer - When Grun and Emerald Fused, they chanted a prayer of some sort, this action is referenced from Coud and Ren's song from Elemental Gelade, the words in the song however are derived from the lyrics of Fate/Zero's 2nd Ending Theme "Sora wa Takaku Kaze ga Utau" by Haruna Luna
