Chapter 20

When we're inside Katniss house she sighs and sits down in the sofa.
"What's wrong?" I ask, sitting beside her in the sofa.
"I don't like this house", she says. "I just can't keep my mind off ... Her. I just can't, there are too many bad memories, but I don't have any other place to live, besides my house in the Seam and that's not an option".
Do I dare to tell her my thought about this? I don't really know if I dare. I'm such a coward, why can't I just ask her? She's my girlfriend, I can talk with her and ask her things.
"Maybe..." I say and she looks up at me.
"What?" She asks tired.
"Maybe you can move in with ... Me", I say in a low voice.
Katniss looks at me for a long time.
I'm so stupid. Now I scared her away. Maybe it was too early to ask that question.
Why is she just looking at me like that? It freaks me out, is she even breathing? Oh god, is she breathing?
I wave my hand in front of Katniss face, but she doesn't move a muscle. She just keeps on looking at me.
Oh can't she just say anything?
I'm starting to feel really uncomfortable here.
"Katniss?" I say, but than I'm lying on my back in the sofa with Katniss over me.
"Are you serious?" She asks me.
"Well yeah, if you want to", I say.
The smile that enters Katniss face can be be compared with the sun itself. So bright and big is her smile.
"So do you want to?" I ask her.
Katniss laughs.
"Yes Peeta", she says. "Yes, yes, yes, yes".
I chuckle and her lips crashes onto mine.
I can't believe this. Is this a dream? Is Katniss really moving in with me? Is she really going to do that?
"And you won't regret it?" I ask after pulling away a little.
"Never", she says. "I love you so much, I would never regret a decision with you involved".
I'm never getting tired of hearing her say that she loves me. I just love hearing that, but most of all, I love her.
"I love you so much Katniss", I say and she smiles.
But suddenly she jumps off me and onto the floor.
"Come on", she says.
"Where to?" I ask her, sitting up.
"To pack my stuff", she says.
And just like that I find myself in Katniss bedroom only seconds after, pulling up her suitcase.
While I hear her running up the stairs.
When she comes inside the room, she's laughing so hard that she falls down onto the floor.
"Yeah, very funny, you were the one that wanted to pack", I point out, but then I get an idea. "You stay here and pack whatever you want and I'll go and deal with some stuff, okay?"
Katniss rolls over onto her stomach and leans her head in her hands. Her elbows can't have a very fun time right now.
"Like what?" She asks curiously.
"Stuff with the house", I say, and that's partly true.
"Okay", she says, standing up.
I kiss her goodbye and than I'm on my way.
I walk out of the Victor's Village and into town.
I'm gonna buy a new bed. My bed isn't big enough for the both of us, so I'm gonna buy a double bed.
People are greeting me all the time. I can't take one step without someone greeting me. Don't they have a life or something? Why don't they just care about themselves and leave me alone?
It's really irritating about the way people behave, but then again, I'm not the one to tell them to back off either, I'm just feeling mean if I do that. So I don't, I just greet them back.
"Hey Peeta!"
But now I had enough. It's the tenth time now in less then five minutes.
"What?!" I snap angry as I turn around.
"Grumpy today, are we?"
I see that it's Annie. Oh god. The time that I shouldn't snap, I do snap, but all the other times?
Oh I'm so stupid sometimes.
"Oh hey Annie", I say as I hug her. "I'm sorry".
"Had too many of them huh?" She giggles.
"Way too many", I say as I start walking again. Annie walks beside me.
She has a small bag in her hands.
"So what's that? Shopped for the baby?" I ask.
Annie smiles big and nods.
"Yeah, well, I didn't really have to, I got so many things at my baby shower, but I just couldn't resist buying this one", she says, pulling up a light blue romper with sheep's on it. Oh it's so cute.
"Oh that's so cute", I say.
"I know right!" She says, but than she stops, puts her hands on her big, big belly and make a grimace.
"What's wrong?!" I ask.
"He's just kicking, that's all", she says. "Wanna feel?"
I nod. She takes my hand and puts it on her belly. The baby boy in there is really kicking hard. It's going to be so fun to meet him. My guess is that he's going to look like his father. Katniss doesn't agree, she thinks he will look like Annie. Annie thinks he's going to look like both Finnick and herself.
We start walking again.
"But where are you going?" She asks me.
"Buying a bed", I laugh.
"Is something wrong with the one you have?"
I might as well tell her. She's gonna find out anyway.
"No, I just need a bigger one", I say and Annie looks suspiciously at me. "Katniss is moving in".
Annie starts screaming, like I told her something completely else.
I put my hands to my ears, and sees that people are looking at us weirdly.
I put one hand over Annie's mouth, to get her to shut up.
"Okay, it's not that big if a deal", I say. "Stop screaming like your dying".
Annie stops screaming and I take away my hand, showing Annie's smile that covers half her face.
"Yes it is!" She says.
I give up.
"Okay it is", I say smiling like a big goof.
We get to the bedroom store and I buy my bed.
Usually it takes maybe a week to get the bed. But because I'm me, they took care of it at once and I have the bed placed in my bedroom in less than an hour.
It rings on the doorbell and I walk to open it.
Katniss is standing there.
"You know, I'm gonna give you a key", I laugh as she enters.
"Really?" She asks.
"Yes, you live here too now", I say.
"I do, don't I?" Katniss asks as a bigger smiles enters her face.
"Yes you do", I say, pulling her into a hug.
Katniss laughs.
"It feels like a dream sorta", she says.
And I can't do anything but to agree with her.
Suddenly we hear a weird sound. A dripping sound.
"You guys..." Annie says.
"Annie you're here?" Katniss asks happy and turns around to see her.
"Yeah, but not for long", she says.
What?
I look at her, but then I see a puddle right under her.
"What's that?" I ask, pointing at the puddle.
"That's me, my water just broke".

Oh my god? Peeta and Katniss are moving in together and Annie's water broke. Oh. My. God.
