You were holding his hand, hoping he would be better, than the disease won't took him away but as you squeezed the hand of your dad, you heard the beep of the machine slowed down until only the constant beep echoed in the room. " No! Please! Dad!" You yelled, tears falling on your cheeks. Immediately, doctors burst in the room and one of them with blue eyes looked at you sadly. You got up and walked back until the wall stopped you. You couldn't realise he was gone. Your father, the only person you had left. Your mother had died at childbirth and you didn't have any family which could help you. You watched in a trance the specialists tried their best to bring your father back to life but you knew it was too late. You had felt it in your heart, the detached piece of the life of your dad faded away. You sobbed quietly, tears trailing down your cheeks, you twiddle your fingers in the hem if your shirt, your long hair falling in front of your eyes. Silent filled the room and you realised you were alone. They had left without you noticing, too lost in the pain. You slowly approached the dead body of your dad and took his almost cold hand in yours. You watched him for the last time, trying to memorise his features. He had fought bravely, and you were proud to have had a dad like that but what now? What were you suppose to do without him? You searched into his face a sign to guide you but his once bright eyes were closed forever. You kept on sobbing for a long time. Your tears were unstoppable. For how long? You didn't know, you had lost track of time. When you got out of the room, your eyes were red and puffy and you hadn't eaten during the day. You looked for a food machine and picked a ham sandwich. You returned next to the room of your dad and ate quietly, remembering all the good moments you had passed with him like the way he taught how to swim, the day you broke your leg and he carried you to the hospital,... New tears were falling on your cheeks but you ignored it. Suddenly a grave interrupted your thoughts:
" Are you okay, Miss Y/N?"
You raised your head to see a man in a white outfit. You guessed he was a doctor and his eyes seemed vaguely familiar.
" Not really, doctor."
The man slowly approached and sat next to you.
" It mays seemed nothing but I want you to know that your father fought with all his might. I've never seen a patient with such a fierce determined look on is face to defeat the disease. I..."
" But yet, he died He left me alone! I'm alone!" you cut him off, a new wave of sorrow invaded your body. You cried again, tears falling down your eyes as the Niagara waterfalls. Stephen looked at you softly, understanding the pain you were feeling and invaded by a sudden and strange sentiment, he pulled you closer to him. Strong arms embracing your frail figure. You tensed at the touch but soon relaxed and hugged him back. You snuggled into his chest while he stroked your hair, whispering sweet things in your ears " You're going to be okay". Your hands gripped his white shirt which was slowly getting wet and gradually, you started to feel better. He reminded the warm embrace your father used to do when you're upset or sad and it warmed your heart. The wave of tiredness rushed over your body and the darkness of sleep wrapped you, still in the arms of Stephen Strange.

BONUS
Christine had just finished her shift, exhausted by her heavy day of work. She looked for Stephen and as she walked through corridors she finally found him comforting someone. Her eyebrows furrowed at the sight and she carefully approached the two silhouettes. She discovered Stephen holding against him the asleep woman in his arms with her head against his chest and Stephen's mesmerising blue eyes focussed on the person. A genuine smile was drawn on his face and Christine quickly grabbed her phone to take the picture of the two.

The next day, when Stephen started his day of work at the hospital, everyone whistled on his path and he frowned. " What the hell is going on?" he thought. He looked for Christine who was watching her planning of work.
" Hi Christine,do you know what is going on?"
She pretended to not know.
" What do you mean, Stephen?"
He scratched the back of his head.
" Well, each time I see a colleague, they start to make comment about having a soft side or just whistle constantly. It 's getting on my nerves"
She smirked at him.
" I might know why they do that.", She grabbed a piece of paper and showed him to the doctor who froze. On the paper, you could see a picture of Stephen holding Y/N in his arms, a big smile on his face and under the picture " He does have a heart." Stephen's face went pale and horrific while Christine burst out laughing. Once she stopped she asked:
" By the way, you should ask the girl out. She seemed to have a hold on you".
He took on his heels and left saying back to her
" I already have her number."
