They both ran with intense speed jumping over terrain, climbing over obstacles. The two sped up more, until they reached VITA hills

Neptune: "Hyuto~!!" Alrigth now for the return run!
Neptunio: "Hiya.."
Oh! Already caught up huh! Alright I ain't gonna let up!
Neptune: "Ahahaha Come on! Faster! Faster!"
Neptunio: "I'm gonna catch up, don't you worry.."
Wow! This is getting really intense, and he's really catching up, time hit the boost if I wanna keep my lead!
Neptunio: "Here we go, ya ready?"
Neptune: "You bet I am."
Up ahead is a loop that boosts the speed of any object that goes through it, it's only used for vehicles though, but hey, a need for speed is a need speed and in this race... SPEED IS KEY!!!
Neptune: "Hah! Hah! Ha! Here goes nothing!"
Neptunio: "up we go..."
Neptune: "YAAAAHOOOOOOOO~~~~!"
The feeling of being pulled into the loop erupts like a fire and we travel a distance in a speed of light! This is dangerous though, watch your step or you'll end up falling and falling in this speed won't be joke... But YEAH! I only go so fast whenever I do Neptune Break, this is a whole new experience in itself.
Neptunio: "Are you having fun...?"
Neptune: "Me!? Of course I am! How fast are we going anyway?

In an effort to stop he dug his hand into the wall, and slowly, we stop sliding down.

I kick the side of the wall with so much force that we rebound off it and barely reach the top side of other side of the ravine.

Nio carries over to a nearby tree, he then closed his eyes and in an instant my sprain was healed.

Strange... He's not showing any emotion at all, but I can feel his concern for me, it's a really warm feeling... Whoah... What is this feeling, Hey Mr. Author I'm not used to this feeling, what are you doing!?

Ok, then I'll just dive into headfirst I guess...

Ahahaha... That's so cliché, but I guess that just shows how he cares... Nio, you may not be able to show you emotions, but you can make people feel them through your kindness...Agh! Too cheesy! Too cheesy even for me!
Needless to say, he carried me all the way back to Lastation... We decided to spend the time just hanging around the different stores, grabbed something to eat, and then we went to guild and did some quests together... On one quest we went to a nearby field to fend off an Ancient Dragon, the monster didn't even stand a chance against us... we spent the whole day together... and then as the sun sets we went into Lastations observatory, we shared a cup of pudding and passed the time as we gazed at the stars...
Neptunio: "...So this is a date..."
Neptune: "huh? What was that?"
Neptunio: "I said, so this is a date...it's really faint Neptune... but I can feel something deep inside... it's really warm... and this emotion...what is it...?"
Neptune: "Hmm..?"

Schwarz called us all in and discussed something to us, basically he told Nepgear and Uni to stay inside the bascillicom, while we take our position in the bascillicom gates.
From the meeting itself I could tell we were heading for battle, best that I prepare myself... The operation will take place at night roughly around 10. By 9 we started raising barriers, but for some reason, we left one side of the barrier open, from what I can visualize, it looks like a funnel.
After that, he told me something that I just couldn't understand...
Schwarz: "No matter what happens, never let anyone pass this funnel, if you see anything that moves in this area, assume the worst and keep your guard up."
Neptune: :"Okie Dokie!"
Noire: "Wait, ANYTHING that moves...?"
Neptunio: "Trust us... if you see someone you know within this funnel; then they are not someone that you know."
Noire: "That's tricky."
Schwarz: "Don't worry Noire, I'll tell soon."
Noire: "Alright, I believe you."
I don't really understand, but I'll believe him.

From the front we could hear metal clashing on metal, something is wrong here...

Clearly these guys aren't pushovers, time to transform!

We engage in battle and one by one we defeat the enemies surrounding us, looking closer, I noticed that one of them looked like Kei, my Nation's Oracle.
Black Heart: "Wait is that—"
Purple Heart: "Do not falter Noire, remember anything that comes from that funnel is an enemy, they are not the friends that we want to protect."
Black Heart: "Right!"
So this is what Schwarz meant, these SHADOWS, they can take any form they want, and would even try to fool us by looking like our friends. One shadow looked like Uni, another looked like Blanc. Good thing Neptune in her transformed state is here to help me...
Black Heart: "Haaaaah!" I cut one shadow that looked like Neptune.
Purple Heart: "Noire...You're venting aren't you?"
Black Heart: "Ehehe... Not really?"
Aha! Splendid, I can cut Neptune without holding back at all.
Purple Heart: "For some reason, I'm more wary of my ally than my enemies..."
Neptunio's POV
The shadows come relentlessly, if we can find the trigger then we can get them to rtreat all at once, just like last time, I found the trigger, but failed to destroy it... This time, I won't let it get away...
Schwarz: "These small fries are getting past us; I hope the girls are able to handle them."
Neptunio: "Don't worry; they can take care of themselves."
Schwarz: "I sure hope so... Look."
Neptunio: "It's here..."
"GRRROOOOAAAAAAAHHHHHHH"
Schwarz: "Well this is a pleasant surprise..."
Neptunio: "Right... It's the trigger."
We have to stop it from reaching the others...
The shadows are instinctively drawn to the CPU's, that's why we purposely made this barrier with an opening that acts as a funnel, if we built a complete barrier, then the shadows might attack the innocent civilians when they realize they couldn't get through the barrier...
And now this monster appears, a towering being with limitless power, looks like it's come for some revenge...

It screams at me with rage, he hasn't forgotten about that arm that I cut...
Schwarz: "Looks like our friend here is a bit cranky."
Neptunio: "Not my fault..."
Schwarz: "I think it is... Anyway, if we kill this thing then everything will be solved, and we can just go for the cracker right?"
Neptunio: "That's the idea, but be careful this thing ain't going down easy...
Schwarz: "And the little pups?"
Neptunio: "Neptune and Noire can handle them..."
Schwarz: "Sound like a plan, here we go!"
In Schwarz's signal I leapt into the air, while he charged for the Trigger's body, in mean time I deliver a heavy blow unto its skull.
*CLANG!* we got him, both attacks connected, but it's not over just yet. The Monster counters by swinging its powerful arm right at us... I managed to get away by blocking off the attack; Schwarz on the other hand, dodged the attack and proceeded to rain blows unto the enemy...
Schwarz: "Dance monster! Dance!"
Slash! Bang! Slice!
Schwarz provokes the enemy while raining slashes and bullets, in response to this, the monster did something to its left arm and to our surprised it was able to change the parts of its body, now the one small left hand has turned into a gigantic impenetrable shield.
Schwarz: "Clever... but not clever enough!"
Schwarz zips behind the enemy, and from there he shoots multiple bullets in the targets head none of the bullets hit though, as the Trigger simply shielded its head with ease, however this opens his front for an attack...
Neptunio: "You're mine..."
I took a step taking the opportunity but...
Grrr...!
Neptunio: "Guha..!"
Schwarz: "Neptunio!"
The bastard... he regenerated his right arm... and in its hands was a blade so sharp it could pierce my great sword...
Neptunio: "*cough*..."
*Splatter* I cough up blood...the blade pierced me...this monster pierced me again...
Schwarz: "Hah!"
Schwarz climbs the beast and shot two rounds of bullets into the monster's eyes...

The Trigger was blinded, but I wouldn't be surprised if he would just heal back. Schwarz distanced me from the monster again, red liquid is visible under the moonlight...
Schwarz: "Neptunio, Heal yourself quick!"
Neptunio: "I know... I got this...Eelze?"
Eelze answers my call, and while holding unto a nearby tree I start to heal my wounds...Damn it, and Nepgear just fixed these for me...
Schwarz: "That blade he has, I've got to get it away from him..."
Neptunio: "Ya sure? You'll have to be super close if you want to get that blade."
Schwarz: "Matter's not, I just have to touch him a bit."
Schwarz removes the bandages in his left arm and invokes Eithan...
Schwarz: "Hear me! Beast of envy! I who sealed you within me order you, take the weapon of my enemy!"
In an instant a dark flame formed In Schwarz's left hand... he then proceeds to run towards the enemy. He zips to the back again, this time the monster made a turn and swung his blade in Schwarz's direction.
Schwarz then dodged it, and approaches the beast closer, he placed his left hand on the monster's body and then... a dark cloud of smoke erupted from where they stood...when the smoke subsided, I saw Schwarz standing with the monster's blade in his left hand...
Neptunio: "Hey ya did it!"
Schwarz: "Of course I did, now let's beat this monster to a pulp."
Neptunio: "You got it..."
Grrr...? GRAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Neptunio & Schwarz: "HaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

When its eyes healed the monster was enraged when he saw Schwarz holding his own blade..., huh apparently it can't make the same thing for a short while...
We charge at the monster... our battle was dragging on for too long... too long in fact that we didn't realize that the small pups were nowhere to be seen anymore...
We clashed with the beast that is now only equipped with a shield, looks like he won't pull out another weapon because Schwarz is just going to take it again...
Schwarz: "Hah... really now, just go down already..."
He's getting tired, but the monster just won't go down... How many more hits can it take...?
Neptunio: "Haa...haa...Damn you..."

But the recoil is rough, best I evade the upcoming attack... by rolling to the right I evade the shield smash that he just performed, the shields weight causes him to slow down, taking this chance I spin once and send him flying...

Thanks to the damage it sustained earlier, it finally gives up and cracks in the middle...it shatters and fragments of it disappear in thin air.
The monster throws its shield in my direction, I have nothing to guard it... even if I summon Cyfer... it won't be enough.

Just then another shield flies towards us... we'll have to do it...

SOUL IMPORT!!!
"Soul Import" an ancient ability that allows one to send his or her power to another, this allows both participants to engage in battle as one, any knowledge or skill that one possess will be shared mutually, the one who performs the ability itself will act as a guardian phantom for the receiver of the powers and will temporarily lose their physical body. Schwarz: "Wow, good job on your first Soul Import girls, Noire got it perfectly, but I guess you need more time to get it down right Neptune."
Neptune: "Wait what do you mean by that!?"
Neptunio: "He's coming Neptune!"
Neptune: "What!? Whoah!"
That big dude is coming right at us! Unconsciously I point my sword towards him trying to time and intercept him.
Neptune: "Come and get some buddy!"
I take a step and... ZAPPPPP!!!
GrraaaaaaoooooohhhhH!!
Neptune: "Whoah, slow down! That was way too fast!"
I couldn't believe it, it was like I turned into lightning and passed through the monster's body I could feel energy surging from within, and sparks erupted all over me...
Neptunio: "Neptune, relax, try to get use to the power..."
Neptune: "Ok... calm down...so what should I do?"
Neptunio: "Take his legs down, that way he won't be able to move freely."
Neptune: "Alright, I got it, but how do I do that?"
Neptunio: "You should be able to know what I'm thinking Neptune, all you have to do is follow the motions..."
Neptune: "Oh I get it, I see it now!"
Taking deep breath, I aim for limbs, my sword cuts through and I incapacitate the monster...
Neptune: "Noire! Your turn!"
Black Heart: "Ok, Schwarz, show me what to do..."
Noire flew high up, a dark red aura surrounded her and from highest point...
Schwarz: "Blow him away Noire..."
Black Heart: "Void Matter"
Noire throws her sword down the target being the incapacitated monster... the sword glowed... which was then enveloped in a dark cloud of smoke, when it reached its target, an immense heat radiated from the source...
GROOOOOAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
The monster cried out and then burned to a crisp...
Grrr...Grraaahh!
It's still moving...
Neptunio: "Neptune, Do as I instruct you..."
Neptune: "Okie dokie!"
Thunderous rage! I impale my sword into the ground below and by injecting energy into it countless bolts of lightning races towards the monster and finally, it falls...
Neptune: "We... We Did it!"
Black Heart: "Yes! We've won!"
We actually beat that dark blob of a menace... but I don't think our problems have been solved just yet. I get the feeling that this is just the beginning... for now we bask the warmth that the morning brings, as we watch the morning sun rise into the sky
Import Deactivate...
Our souls separate and Neptunio stands next to me, Noire and Schwarz does the same. While walking towards us, Noire makes a grim expression, followed by Schwarz's concerned look.
Schwarz: "Neptunio Behind you!"
Neptunio: "huh?"
Neptune: "What?"
When we turned around there was a hooded figure with dagger in hand, when did it get there!?
Neptune: "Nio! Look out!"
Neptunio: "...!"
Nio, with his keen senses managed to evade the attack... Schwarz and Noire prepares to engage and readies their weapons.
Neptunio: "You're... the Cracker..."
Cracker: "...."
Neptune: "What do you want from us?"
Cracker: "..."
No answer...
Neptunio: "Hah!"
Neptunio summons his still broken sword and takes a swing, but the hooded figure disappears in thin air... we then noticed it, standing right next to the now dead monster... The figure then dug its hands into the monsters corpse
Schwarz: "No, he isn't going to-- Stop him!"
Neptunio: "tsk!"
From the corpse it shined a brilliant white, which slowly turned to darkness, the black blob, reformed into a smaller version of itself...
Cracker: "You've been a good boy... now rest and regain your strength..."
The figure turns and walks away...
Schwarz: "You won't get away!"
Noire: "Stay down!"
Schwarz and Noire charged at the figure but it then disappears again...
Neptune: "Where is it!?"
Out of nowhere, we hear a menacing voice
"What you're doing is futile my dear Lords... You won't be able to stop me from reaching my goal... and you CPU's I'll have your powers eventually... Enjoy this little victory of yours, I will be back soon."
Neptunio: "It's gone..."
Noire: "Ok, now I really need to know what is going on here."
Schwarz: "Very well, I'll tell you everything..."
While those two were talking I approached Nio...
Neptune: "Hey, are you ok?"
Neptunio: "I'm fine... how about you...?"
Neptune: "Just a bit tired...huwaaaahhh~~"
Neptunio: "Easy now... Can you make it to the bed...?"
Neptune: "No, my legs are woblly..."
Neptunio: "You're so hopeless..."
Neptune: "Whoah! Hey what are you doing...?!"
Neptunio: "Just relax, I'll take you to your bed..."
Neptune: "Huwaaaah~ Thanks... I owe you one."
Neptunio: "Actually, I owe you won."
Neptune: "zzzzZZZZ...."
Neptunio: "Thank you Neptune..."
I couldn't catch what he said there...I was too sleepy... aside from that I have a lot of questions now... Just who is this Cracker... why did Neptunio have to forcefully cancel my HDD when he used Soul Import...? Just where will this all lead us...?
For now, we have silence, and a breathing room before the next event...
Meanwhile in Lowee...
Blanc's POV
Blanc: I know that it's the night where crystal-flies are abundant in the Mushroom Cave, but listen you two, that place is dangerous, so stay put."
Ram: "No fun! We can take care of ourselves! Right Rom"
Rom: "Uhuh! Please Blanc, if you want you can come with us."
Blanc: "Look, I'm already busy as it is, so please..."
I really am, this isn't just about the Novel I'm making, the nation's state needs to be reviewed, the patrols, national security also needs my attention, add the humongous paperwork I have to deal with... and this is just never ending...I shouldn't let it pile up like this...
Ram: "Oh shut it, you never play with us anyway!"
Blanc: "You're really getting on my nerves now you know that."
Rom: "Blanc, we just want you to—"
BANG!!!
Blanc: "I said no! and that's that!"
Rom and Ram: "Hii---!"
Blanc: "Ah... I did it again..."
I slammed the table and it created a loud bang, I even shouted at them... I'm worst sister ever...
I really have to make it up to them...

..
Later that night...
Rom: "Are you sure about this Ram?"
Ram: "Of course! We're CPU's too we don't need to be afraid about anything!"
The two mischievous CPU candidates disobeyed their older sister and went to the mushroom cave...
Notes:
Eithan - Eithan's name derived from the Demon of Envy Leviathan, and like the envious demon himself, Eithan's power is associated with thievery, it has the ability to take anything from its enemies.
Schwarz's left Arm - Schwarz's left arm is bandaged in a special cloth, he wears this because, unlike Neptunio who is free to control the beasts abilities, Schwarz has no control over Eithan's at all, anything he touches with his left hand instantly becomes his own... it's basically a steal/disarm ability.
Soul Import - This ability links the abilities, thoughts and the life of the pair. if the physical body that they are using is damaged in any way, then both will feel the pain. While it does enhance the capabilities of ones battle prowess, extreme care is still advised.
