Another special chapter!

Makenna:
“I haven’t seen her like this since Jackson died.”, I heard my mom behind my door as she whispered to Dylan. Now that I know why my hearing was a little bit strong and I can easily eavesdrop on people well, I heard her. “I’m really worried, Dylan. It’s bin three days.”,
“I know, Cassie, I am too. She’s bin locked in her room and you don’t think that worries me?”, he asked and sighed heavily. “She wont even talk to me.”,
“I’m sure she didn’t mean it, Dylan. She doesn’t hate you.”,
“From the look on her face, it seems like it.”, he said and that just made me feel worse. I don’t hate Dylan, it’s just that I was so mad at him and isn’t it a common thing to say for a girl to tell her dad she ‘hates him’ when she angry at him? I never told Jackson I hated him.
I put my ear buds back in my ear and put Taylor’s Swift Tim Mcgraw song on and just hummed to it. God, it was only three days and it feels like three years.
I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
I woke up again to the feeling of someone touching my arm and I opened my eyes to see Dylan look down at me.
“You still mad at me?”, he asked. I hesitated, thinking over it. Was I mad?
A little.
Do I hate him?
No.
I shook my head and rubbed my cheek against the pillow.
“Are you going to talk to me?”, he asked and I just shrugged. He chuckled and rubbed my arm, “If I could have help him, I would. But I couldn’t unless putting everyone else at risk and none of us would have came back. You would know something bad happen to Shawn if you felt suicidal.”,
“Yeppie.”, I sarcastically said.
He chuckled again and he placed something in front of me. “Your mom told me Jackson use to by your ice cream and flowers when your upset. I couldn’t get flowers at this time of night, but I hope you’ll make an exception.”, he said, holding the pint of mouse track chocolate ice cream in front of me. “You do need to eat anyways. All you ate today was eggs and two pieces of toast.”,
“Most dad would give they’re daughter—I don’t know—something more healthier to eat.”, I said.
“Yeah, probably.”, he agreed. “I know, I suck at being a dad. I tried when you were born and every time you cried, I handed you to your aunts until you stop. I always thought I was doing something wrong like if you need to be changed and instead I’ll make you a cold bottle. I was getting better when you turned one and started to learn how to talk.”,
My eyebrows forward together, “That’s weird. I sometimes dream of being in someone arms, but never remember who it was after I wake up. Now I guess I do. Like one time I remember dreaming of being in a lake and on someone shoulder and I kept—“
He nodded, “Pulling at my hair.”, he said and smiled. “You refuse to go in the water and every time I say I’ll put you in the water, you would pull at my hair and beg me not to.”,
“Oh, sorry.”, I said and blushed up. Now that I could actually put a face to it, it did seem right. I knew it wasn’t Jackson since the man in my dream was always tanner and had bigger muscles. I replayed the memory in my head since I seemed to dream it more then once.
I looked up to see someone as they pick me up and I saw Dylan face smile at me, “Come on, Makenna. Go in the water with me.”,
I remember shaking my head and squirming to get out of his hold, “No!”,
He ignored me and lifted me up until I was placed behind his neck, my legs dangling from each shoulder and I held onto his head, “Fine, you wont go into the water.”,
I remember have this awful feeling when he stepped into the water and I only cling to his head more and he chuckled.
“I got you princess, don’t worry.”, he said and that seem to loosen me up a little.
I remember growing bored as he walked around in the lake and I laid my cheek on the top of his head. A moment later, he splashed up the water on us and I squealed so loud, I’m amazed his ears didn’t start bleeding.
“You promise!”, I yelled. “You so mean, daddy!”,
“I didn’t say anything about promises, princess.”, he said and my hands went in his hair as his hands went to upper arm and he tried to take me off his shoulder and I start to tug, “Ow! Makenna, stop!”,
“Don’t put me in the water then, daddy!”, I yelled and I remember hearing laughter around us and now I realized it was my aunts and uncles.
“You are as stubborn as your mother.”, he said.
“Mommy is perfect.”, I said. “She brave.”,
“Yeah, she is.”, he said in a low voice that it sounded sad.
I stopped the flashback and looked up at him, “I was pretty stubborn.”,
“Yes, you were. But I loved you.”, he said. He didn’t speak for a moment, “Why don’t you tell me what’s on your mind. How do you actually feel about me?”,
I shrugged, “You’re a good dad I guess.”,
“But?”,
I hesitated, then sigh, “But it’s hard to get to use still. It’s more like you’re a step-dad instead of my biologic father. It’s just…hard. I can’t just go by calling you Mr. Blackwood to Dylan, then to dad in a short amount of time.”,
The look on his face was sad, but understanding. Ugh, he just had to do that? It made me feel guilty now when I’m still wondering if I’m right or wrong to feel how I do.
I spoke as he got up, “There’s one thing I didn’t get to do with Jackson.”, I said and he looked down at me confused. “He never had the chance to comfort me when I have a broken heart and right now, I could have someone hold me.”,
He gave me a small smile and I moved back so he could lay on the bed next to me. He had his back on the headboard as I put my head on his chest and one across his stomach. He rubbed my back as I took in the warmth. I raised my knees up a little and relax.
Alpha Dylan:
Once Makenna fell back to sleep, Dylan slowly peeled himself from her arms and placed her under the covers. He watched as she turned her head off to the side and her mouth slightly opened as she breath slightly.
He’ll admit, she does look like a little girl. She has such a baby like face and innocently. As if the need to already to protect his daughter was there, all he wanted to do was make her happy. The sad look on those eyes made his heart break and he doesn’t know if he can take it anymore.
He grabbed the half empty ice cream pint and went to the kitchen to put it in the freezer. He realizes that he’s spending more time at Cassie’s house then his own. Of course he doesn’t mind, but it was just something he realized.
He’s hoping when summer comes, he’ll be able to move them to his house. He can’t move here since he needs to have open land around his house right in the woods. The woods is like his second home.
He went into Cassie room where she was flipping threw channels and mumbled about how there nothing on but stupid reruns of her favorite shows. He unbutton his shirt and went up behind her and one arm wrapped around her stomach to touch her stomach.
“She talked to me.”, he said and kissed her shoulder.
“Really? That’s good, told you it would work.”, she said and placed her hand over his. “For having half of you, she is really sensitive. It’s like you have to really irk her to get her mad.”,
“Like you?”, he asked and chuckled.
She snorted, “I am not sensitive.”,
“You cried while watching Lifetime movie’s.”, he said and kissed her shoulder again.
“That’s different! I’m suppose to cry at those and I’m pregnant. I’m suppose to be emotional.”, she said deafeningly. “And ugh, one more thing. I’m never getting pregnant again, it’s a real pain. I hate back aches and I swear, eating macaroni and cheese with syrup is not a normal thing.”,
“Ew.”, he said, his nose scrunching up. She has weird ass cravings.
“I know, but surprisingly, it was good.”, she said and giggled. “You should have seen me with Makenna. I was eating beef sticks with chocolate bars and banana’s with ranch dressing.”,
“And you say I eat like an animal.”,
“Dylan, when we order pizza, we have to get you your own large pizza.”, she said in a ‘duh way. “You eat like you never eat before. I’m surprise you aren’t four hundred pounds over weight.”,
Before he could speak, his cell phone went off. He moved from Cassie and took his phone out of his pocket to see it was Travis. He pressed the answer button and brought it up to his ear, “Hello?”,
“I’m going to go get Shawn.”, he said and Dylan eyebrows forward together in confusion. “I’m sorry for going without your order, Alpha Dylan. I don’t care if I get in trouble, but Shawn my brother. I have to.”,
“Just calm down, Travis.”, Dylan said. “What you are talking about? You can just go to New York and think it’ll be that easy to get him back.”,
“I know it wont be easy, but I have to. I can’t help but think what could be happening to him. If it was Makenna or Cassie, you would have bin gotten them back already.”, he said and Dylan growled at the thought of Makenna and Cassie trapped somewhere. “I just wanted to let you know.”,
“Wait, Travis. Just relax.”, Dylan said and sighed. “Just—just give me this night to think of something and I’ll go with you. I can easily take down his wolves by myself, so you’ll need my help.”,
Travis didn’t respond so quickly back, “Okay. How’s Makenna?”,
“Depressed.”, he answered. “She missed school today since she refuse to go. I agree with you that we need to get him back before she goes completely insane.”. Dylan put his hand on Cassie shoulder when she frowned and look down at the remote.
“Well, hopefully we’ll get him back tomorrow.”, Travis said before he hung up.
Shawn:
I looked at the stupid chains the locked around my ankles and curse Alpha Cylde and Beta Kaleb. God, I just need to get out of here! This place is so depression and they’re basement is starting to get boring. How could they lock me up for three days?
And not to sound like a bitch, but where the hell is Travis?
Turning into my wolf was out of the idea since Alpha Clyde has a guard down here with a stun gun and everything I try to shift, he’ll stun me until I give up. And trust me, that shit hurts like hell.
The only time anyone else would come down here is to give me something little to eat and drink. I hate being treated like a prisoner. I knew I shouldn’t have gotten involve with this pack shit.
I looked over at the guard and saw that he looked like he was about to drift into sleep. Hmm, if he falls asleep, I could quickly shift and break free and hopefully get the hell out of here before he catches me and hopefully get out of New York before someone could catch me.
After fifteen long minutes, the guy head fell backwards and I heard his snoring.
“Idiot.”, I whispered to myself and I closed my eyes, letting my wolf take over. I felt my eyes wash from blue to yellow quickly and before I could stop myself, I growled.
I felt my talons grow from my human nails and my whole body quickly shifted into my wolf. I quickly stretched, feeling happy to be in this form.
When I about to start running, I felt something smack on the side of me and I growled, turning my head to see the guard awake and that he hit me with the stun gun. He pressed the end of it at my side and before I could react, he pressed the button at the handle and tons of bolts raced around my body.
I fell on the ground and my wolf body began to shake. When the guard let go of the button, my wolf let go and I turned back to into my human form groaning. He placed the stun gun on my back and pressed the button for about three seconds and my body began to feel numb.
I just really want to go home and cuddling with Makenna sounded really good right now.
