Time Skip A Month
Gabe's POV
I can't believe we have been staying in England for a month now. With revenue and statements from the bank starting to come in. I couldn't help but finally feel happy. I had messaged Josh and told him I had to now become an on call Chef which he understood. I hadn't really talked to the boys all that much aside from when I was there cooking. And Simon hadn't really done much in the ways of making conversation between us. I didn't blame him though. I'd bet the boys would be taking the piss considering my sexuality. And for fuck sake I wonder if they even cared about Simon? I mean clearly they did but at the same time I couldn't help but wonder. Hell for the past week he's been on my mind. And it kind of sucked.
Kylie: "I'm going over to see the boys. Are you coming?"
Gabe: "Can't I need to finish off this chapter. Write some notes down and then maybe if your still there I'll fetch you later."
Kylie: "Gabe we are 20 years old. You can't sulk around like your a kid."
Gabe: "Is that what you think I'm doing? You think I'm sulking? What would I have to be angry or upset about? What could possibly be a thing that would require me to be down and upset. Anything could do it Kylie. Rising prices, lowered income, having to come up with an entirely original or new book within a short period of time. Yes I know I could have it finished in days but it doesn't work that way. Look Kylie I don't care that I am only good for my writing and my food. But maybe I would like to be alone and be upset for a while alright. I'm not trying to come off as an immature kid, I'm trying to just have a quiet time by myself where I can just relax and not have to worry about no bastard."
I watched her expressions on her face turn from sadness, to anger and then finally sympathy. She knew about my depression. She knew about my anxiety. And she knew for fuck sake that I was not able to handle this by myself. I missed my friends, I missed my home, I missed my life. And I miss my fucking dead parents. They just had to stop fucking breathing on me didn't they?
Kylie: "Ok I'll leave. I'm sorry."
Gabe: "There's a cake in the fridge already cut up into twelve slices. Take it with you when you go."
I turned back to my computer and kept at my new book. I was scared about how people would perceive this one considering I had already pretty much hit my peak with the Lost in Sound series that Simon had not long finished. I know he appreciated the book I lent him. And I'm glad I brought some joy into is life as he really deserved it. I heard the front door shut before moving my chair back. You know what?. Maybe I needed a shower to calm down. Let out some emotions and just relax. Hell I might even take a bath. But I decided against something so long and just got prepared for a shower instead. Note to self, ask if I can install a jet or something on the side so I can get water hitting me from all angles. So standing under the stream one half of my body isn't cold while the other half enjoys the water. I had just gotten out and changed when I heard someone knocking on the front door. I threw on a light shirt with a blue pair of jeans and left myself barefoot. I walked down the stairs before hearing more knocking.
Gabe: "Hold the fuck up I'm coming. This place is a maze I swear."
I opened the door just before they knocked again to see an awaiting Vik and Harry.
Gabe: "If this is a video I want none of it."
Harry: "I won't lie. At first we were going to ask if you wanted to do one with us because you cook for us. The least we could do is tell our fans about us. They have been adamant that we have been eating a lot better then we normally do. Apparently we seem to be different in our commentary."
Vik: "That was the original plan but are you ok? You seem upset about something?"
Gabe: "I'm fine."
I closed the door in front of them before they had a chance to move. After Josh told me about their careers I searched them up and found a whole new world that I was genuinely surprised that I had missed. With such a heavy love for gaming. How the fuck did I ever not find these guys before? I went to walk off before hearing someone knock on my front door.
Gabe: "For fuck sake boys did you not get the memo I said leave me... Oh."
I opened the door to see Simon standing there. Looking a little upset yet also apologetic.
Simon: "I'm sorry Gabe. I didn't know you were having a bad day. I'll leave you on your own."
I watched him look down at me nervously before he turned around and walked down my driveway and was about to hit the foot path before he looked up. I stepped outside and looked ahead to see Vik with his camera out. Probably doing one of those blog things.
Gabe: "Simon get inside quickly."
I watched him look at me questioningly before he bolted up the foot path and into the house. I closed the door behind me as he looked at me.
Simon: "What made you change your mind?"
Gabe: "I watched you stop and look at Vik. You didn't seem like you were all that keen on being at home so I told you to run up here."
Simon: "Are you ok Gabrielle?"
Gabe: "Don't call me that. And I'm fine."
I walked off to my room and decided now would be the PERFECT time to start making everything look nice. Was I doing it to procrastinate so I didn't have to talk to Simon, yes. Was I doing it because I thought it would be a good idea to do it after having put it off for a week and this was a great coincidence? Also yes.
Simon: "Your room looks incredible Gabe."
Gabe: "Thanks Si."
It wasn't an awkward silence. It was more of a casual silence while he checked out my room.
Simon: "Why have you been ignoring me?"
Gabe: "I haven't been ignoring you Si. It's a bit hard to ignore someone if you don't see them. I've had to ask the guys to bring your food up to you. And I've been busy working on something new."
Simon: "Can I read it?"
Gabe: "I'd honestly rather you didn't."
Ok now it was an awkward silence.
Simon: "Why are you so hostile today?"
Gabe: "What do you mean by that?"
Simon: "You know what I mean Gabe."
Gabe: "Maybe because sometimes people need to be alone. They wake up and everything crashes down on them and they just need to be by themselves."
Simon: "Are you ok?"
Gabe: "No. But I'm use to repressing and dealing with problems on my own. Just drop it Simon. Please?"
Simon: "Do you have ice cream or anything in the freezer?"
Gabe: "Of course I do. I make my own there is a cookie mousse cake in the fridge. Go nuts."
I watched him walk out of my room before coming back with the cake and two spoons. He smiled at me before picking up my laptop after placing the items on the bed carefully. He pulled the blankets back and lay it on my bed after having disconnecting it from the power socket at one end of the room. And placing the laptop on the bed and re plugging it in.
Gabe: "Is this one of your video things you do?"
Simon: "What no? I'm setting this up for us to get comfortable."
Gabe: "We aren't in a relationship or have feelings for each other. There's no need for whatever this is."
Simon: "Can't a friend just be there for someone when they are feeling sad?"
Gabe: "I didn't realise we were friends. Over the past month since moving in it's like you've avoided me. You just so happen to only time your videos while I'm over. And they just so conveniently finish when I leave. And before you say anything. Freya and Kay told me. They worry about you Simon. And apparently they have a new mission to find a guy for you. Even though I told them to drop it. It's not fair for them to think that you need to have a man to be happy."
Simon: "Gabe are you sure your alright?"
Gabe: "I'm fine."
He took a seat on the bed before patting the space beside him. Reluctantly, I moved over and took a seat next to him.
Gabe: "What are you doing?"
Simon: "Following in your foot steps."
Gabe: "What do you mean?"
Simon: "I mean we are going to sit here or lay here. And just watch some movies. We can eat some ice cream and just enjoy relaxing. I haven't done this in years so it would be nice."
Time Skip
Simon's POV
I heard the front door close before being woken up. I was so comfortable so I decided not to move before hearing some voices.
Josh: "I know Simon Kylie. Trust me he's probably still in his room."
Kylie: "No he's in Gabe's room. Look at the two of them it's adorable."
I opened my eyes slowly and looked down to see my hand on Gabe's shoulder while he had a pillow in my lap, Fast asleep. I couldn't help but smile in remembering how Brett would some how be able to fall asleep at literally any point in time. I looked up and realised they would probably think I was trying to do something with him. Even though we only fell asleep. I guess he needed the nap.
Kylie: "Told you."
Simon: "Shut up Kylie. He must have been tired."
Josh: "I'd say your looking pretty comfortable there Simon?"
Simon: "Fuck off Josh. I'll be home soon."
Josh: "You can have as much time as you need."
Ethan: "KYLIE WHERE'S YOUR TOILET AGAIN!"
I felt Gabrielle jolt up right in my lap and look around like he just got framed for something. I couldn't help but smile at him while Kylie and Josh laughed from the hall.
Gabe: "That wasn't very nice."
Simon: "He's not a nice person."
Gabe: "I'm sure he's fine."
I watched as Ethan walked over towards us, Evident by the sound of his heavy foot steps on the floor boards.
Ethan: "YO SIMON YOU GET SOME!"
Simon: "Ethan shut up."
Ethan: "Did you fuck up?"
Simon: "What? No I just came over to talk to him so we just lay in bed watching some movies."
Ethan: "You fucked up."
He walked off with a chuckle to himself before I felt Gabe get up and look at me with a frown.
Gabe: "I didn't mean for anything to happen if it did. And I hope you don't hate me."
Simon: "Gabe it's fine. Just laying down and enjoyed watching some movies with my friends. Your a nice guy mate. Just relax."
Gabe: "Thanks Si."
Hearing him say my name the way he did made me pretty happy. It was like it was special again. I'm not sure why though. It only ever brought with it memories of Brett.
Gabe: "Fuck it's 8 o'clock I need to go get dinner started."
Simon: "Well then hang on and let me come with you."
I moved the laptop to the end of his bed before hopping out and stretching. I grabbed my shoes and chucked them on before leaving. Following Gabe out of his room and down to the living room to find everyone lounging about.
Vik: "You have so many chairs. And I love these long chairs."
I saw him laying in their chair with Kay beside him. Though some other guy was with them. I wasn't sure who but he looked a bit like Vik. Could be Indian I'm not sure though he probably wasn't?
????: "Hey Simon. Only one I haven't met yet. Name's Hamas."
Ok so with that name probably not Indian. Middle eastern maybe I don't know.
Simon: "Nice to meet you man.
Gabe: "Why is everyone here? And no offence to you mate but uh? I didn't ask for an audience."
Kylie: "Bringing everyone here for tonight. Seeing as Simon, Ethan and Josh were already here, It wasn't hard to convince the rest of the guys."
Gabe: "Yeah I get that. But like. Who are you three?"
Harry: "Oh room mates. Freezy, Callux and Sarah. Sarah is Cal's girlfriend."
Gabe: "Nice to meet you I think. Alright well looks like I'm making a feast. I might have to bloody charge you guys for this one."
Tobi: "I'd pay."
Kay: "I got my purse here."
Vik: "Sh Kay I'm paying."
Hamas: "You two are cute but also *Vomit sounds*"
We all started laughing to ourselves while I watched Gabe looking at him questioningly.
Gabe: "Your gay right?"
Hamas: "Yeah takes one to know one. The gaydar going off?"
Gabe: "You have no idea. Right well I need to go get some things then for so many people. From now on I want a heads up before hand who's coming for each meal."
Josh: "Deal."
Gabe: "And I'm not cleaning or doing the dishes."
Simon: "I'll do them."
Josh: "You've done them every single time. Take a break mate."
JJ: "Josh shut up just because he wants to stay close to Gabrielle."
Simon: "It's Gabe. And he's a friend so I like to talk to him."
I know I just corrected JJ but I would have done it anyway.
Freezy: "I'm already thinking you guys need a room."
Josh: "They were just in Gabe's cuddling."
Simon: "We weren't cuddling."
Kylie: "Gabe had his head resting on Simon's lap with a pillow. They were cuddling."
Gabe: "Just for that. Harry, Vik and Hamas can you guys come with me to the shop to get some more things?"
Harry: "Really why us three?"
Gabe: "Good point... In that case I'll be back later."
I watched him start to walk out before Hamas followed him.
Kay: "I hope they get along."
Vik: "One hadn't even heard of YouTube before he met us. The other just finished up a video with Mitch. Believe me they will get along."
Simon: "And he is?"
Harry: "He was staying with Kay for a few days so she brought him over. Didn't want to leave him on his own so all good."
Yeah all good. He's just a friend to Kay and maybe Vik. So why was I getting jealous?
