I sat quietly with my feet dangling into the edge of the pool the cool water felt amazing to my skin and sent a much needed chill throughout my entire body the sun rose high in the sky and the day was extremely and unusually hot
"Plan on baking out here?" Lauren asked asked as she walked up to me smiling I turned quickly And glanced up at her with a subtle smile witnessing the gleam in her Emerald Eyes
"No just enjoying the weather though its hot as hell out here" I replied I hadn't realized that I was sweating until Lauren gently wiped my forehead with a damp cloth I stared at her eyes until they met mine " you're pouring down sweat" she warned " I'm OK" I said reassuring her scooting away a bit
"So when are your friends coming?" Lauren asked as she wrapped her arms around me
"They should be getting in sometime today it takes three hours to get here so "
Lauren sat beside me and stared at me quietly I felt her eyes burning holes into my soul
"What's the matter?" She asked as she gently caressed my face my face turning it towards her
I didn't look at her instead I only shrugged and shook my head Lauren turned my face towards her once again and stared into my eyes.
"You're lying" she said forcing me to look into her eyes I shifted my glance towards the ground and thought for a second as my heart raced"I'm just worried about what my friends will think about you, they thought I was crazy but now when they actually see you how am I going to explain how-"
"Let me do all of the talking, I can explain myself" Lauren stated cutting me off I glanced at her with an unsure look
"And what are you going to say? "Hey girls I 'm a supernatural being with big as wings and healing powers?" I said sarcastically Lauren gave me a sad look which automatically made me feel like shit
"I'm sorry , I -I didn't mean that I just i'm i'm scared of what they will say or more over what they will think" I stated
Lauren paused for a brief moment and turned her stare from me towards the front door
"They're here" she said as she rose quickly from beside and and headed towards the door I quickly gathered my thoughts and jogged after her Lauren stood beside me as I reached for the door I felt her hand rest gently on top of mine "It'll be okay relax" she cooed I nodded my head in silence and opened the door as the girls focused on me suddenly their gaze shifted quickly to Lauren
"Welcome" Lauren's sweet voice sounded from beside me I watched as each girl shook her hand Camila hugged her and Ally of course hugged her but Normani and Dinah they were skeptic of her. We invited the girls into the living room and sat down
"So this is the girl you have been telling us about Lauren is it?" Dinah said sarcastically I glanced at Lauren only to see her nod her head with a smile
"Yes it's nice to meet you Dinah you are very beautiful" she said
"yeah, thanks girl... wait how did you know my name?" Dinah asked with a squinted side eye
"y/n told me , she told me all of your names and showed me pictures of you girls before you arrived so that I could get a better understanding of who you all were" Lauren stated calmly
at then at moment my heart stopped in my chest because truth was I hadn't told Lauren anything about my friends only that they were coming to see me. I stared at her in confusion but tried my best to not make it obvious
I looked on as the girls began warming up to Lauren they shared a few laughs and stories with Ally of course laughing the loudest but there was something that caught my attention more than anything Camila only stared at Lauren the entire time and barely uttered a word to her other than "Hello" this worried me a bit because I knew how Camila felt about me and Lauren did too but Lauren seemed oblivious to even that fact.
after about an hour and the girls were still talking I kindly excused myself for a minute to go and prepare drinks in the kitchen as I started to get up I noticed Camila was also standing watching me "I'll help you" she said demanding
"Yeah sure, I could use the help" I replied with a half smile Camila quickly followed me into the kitchen and watched quietly as I searched for wine glasses in the cabinets
"Here they are" I whispered to myself after searching for 5 minutes
I made my way to the fridge and crabbed two chilled wine bottles out popped the tops and began pouring them evenly into the glasses
"Are you with Lauren?"Camila finally broke the silence causing me to pause from poring I stopped and glanced at her
"Why is that any business of yours Camila?" I asked innocently
"Because something about her seems off y/n can't you see that?! something is wrong with her" she whispered harshly
I ignored Camila's words and continued pouring the wine
"I miss you so much y/n why won't you just come back home" she asked as she stared at me
"I-I just needed time to think Camila I needed time away from-"
"From me? is that what this was all about?" She asked I could hear a slight change in her voice as she walked up to me
"What have I done that was so wrong?" she asked as she looked into my eyes I felt her begin to move closer before her hand touched my face I closed my eyes and embraced her touch
"Look at you y/n" she whispered as we looked into each others eyes
"Is everything okay in here?" Lauren's voice boomed from the entrance of the kitchen causing us to jump
I pulled away from Camila and returned to my pouring of the wine "Yes everything's fine I was just finishing up" I stated to Lauren as I turned I noticed that she and Camila were eyeing one another and I began to get nervous. Camila was NO match for Lauren and I knew it I felt as if I had to smooth the situation and quickly.
"Well dinner is about done do you girls mind setting the table?" I asked
"yeah sure do you wanna come with me Camila?" Lauren asked with a smile
"Sure" Camila replied as she followed Lauren into the dining room
After dinner the girls settled into their rooms and I lay comfortably on my bed reading a book while Lauren showered after a while I heard the shower squeak followed my the gurgle of water the door opened slowly and out walked Lauren she dried her hair subtly as she stared at herself in the mirror I continued reading my book in silence
"What are you reading?" she asked as she sat down on the bed
"To Kill A Mocking Bird" I replied as I stared at her she appeared really beautiful and that fact startled me it's as if she changed her appearance I felt Lauren's stare burning a hole into my soul and glanced up at her
she leaned forward and kissed me and I returned the kiss she removed the book from my hands and straddled me
"you belong to me,you're mine" she said before deepening the kiss we ended up making love in that moment and ended up falling asleep just a little before 5 am. I awoke with Lauren laying beside me I watched her as she slept peacefully taking in shallow breathes the moonlight bathed over her pale shin and enveloped her in a bright light I was beginning to fall in love with this mystery this girl this Fallen Angel but Camila's words struck in my mind about something being odd about Lauren as if I hadn't noticed this yet her words made me wonder I didn't know what I was getting myself into.. with this relationship that Lauren and I were starting to form could be potentially dangerous..I just didn't know how dangerous.
