"Jayd," Simon yells as soon as he sees me. He engulfs me in a hug, not really giving me time to look around at how many people are here. He pulls away and I look around while he talks with Jake. There's quite a few people here. Not as many as I thought though.
"Jay," somebody say causing me to turn around and be met with an unfamiliar face. "You can watch my videos now," he stated before he starts laughing. His laugh is contagious causing me to laugh slightly.
"You must be Ethan," I say and he nods before going into a deep conversation about how he only had three hours of sleep this morning.
Before I know it, an hour has passed. Simon steps next to me, wrapping an arm around my shoulder. Everyone is kinda just going around and talking to each other. I haven't seen Jake in awhile which makes me kind of anxious.
However, I've met the Cals, Lewis, Manny, Josh or Chip, Freya, and Katie.
"Hi," Simon whispers in my ear, sounding giddy. He distracts me from my conversation with Josh, and I miss a few words.
"I'll leave you two alone," Josh smiles before walking over to Chip.
"I'll admit this gathering thing wasn't pointless," Simon mutters before he grabs my hand and pulls me upstairs. "Follow me."
"Follow you?" I question before he opens the window in front of him causing me to furrow my eyebrows. "I'm not climbing out the window Sim."
"It's fine, I won't let you fall," he says before he grabs my hand and steadily helps me out out onto the roof. "I honestly think the stars are beautiful."
"You're so cliche," I groan causing Simon to smile at me.
"You're more beautiful though," he whispers causing me to look over to him. He's fidgeting with a ring on his pinky, almost like he's nervous. "Can I be more cliche?"
"Go ahead," I encourage before he grabs my hand.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" he asks softly, nervously. I smile before wrapping my arms around his neck and connecting our lips.
"Yes Sim," I smile before pulling away.
Yet again, before I know it Simon and I have sat outside for hours. We've talked about a lot.
Of course happy moments aren't meant to last forever.
