When I woke up in the morning, I didn't saw Cameron anywhere. That was weird, usually, he wouldn't even be up so early in the morning. Where did he go? I got out of our bed and slowly walked outside of our room, in case I was yet in another illusion. Then I heard some mumblings in the living room. As silently as possible, I tiptoed my way there, hidden behind a wall, I listened to the conversation.
"We noticed some movement near our current position. We aren't certain the source of it yet, but I think we must be careful." said a voice I didn't know.
"I see, they may be already on the move since we have one of their companions. Plus, they must have sensed that I was freed days ago... Good job, stay alerted and if something happens, you have to tell me immediately." said a voice that I would recognize anywhere. It was Cameron.
They didn't seem to finish anytime soon, so I decided to let them alone. I went to the bathroom for my morning chores as I thought back to what they were saying. Could it be... Deus? Were they roaming around the house? If so, they were so creepy!
But...
That meant danger for us... I couldn't imagine what they would be able to do this time since they practically had me crucified last time. It hurt so much, it was as if my members were torn apart. Then it was hard to breathe and at the end... There was nothing, even if I knew Cameron was fighting for me at all time... It hurt, so much to think that I was the origin of his pain. I didn't want to feel like that ever again. I would protect Cameron this time at all cost.

"It hurts!!" I cried out as I put my hand on my cheek then looked up to see Cameron worried face. "Why did you hit me?" I asked confused.
"I called you a hundred time, but you didn't even acknowledge me. You kept a scary face on mumbling I'll protect him while staring at the mirror." he explained, but I looked at him even more confused.
"I was? I... I don't remember any of that..." I muttered even more confused.
"Are you okay? Do you have a fever or something?" he asked as he put his hand on my forehead. "No, you're not..."
"I don't feel strange at all, only my cheek stings a little." I explained as I exited the room. "Let's hurry or even your powers won't be enough to take us to school in time!" I announced before going to our room.
Was I really daydreaming? I was even making a creepy face! But... I really couldn't remember what I was thinking about. If I was so concentrated, I should be able to remember what I was thinking about right? Maybe I was still sleepy...
Until I was completely ready, Cameron had to snap out of my daydreaming three more times and each time, I couldn't remember anything at all. Things started to get really weird and Cameron was getting more and more worried. Even at school, things started to get worse and worse. I couldn't remember any of my classes, just a big blank and a voice calling for me.
"Matt... Matt!" shouted James while waving his hand in front of my face. "Are you with us now?"
"H-huh? Yeah, what's up?" I answered looking at everyone.
"Are you okay? You seemed out of it until now and seemed very upset." explained my friend.
I sighed. "Sorry, I must be tired, don't worry. So, what were you guys talking about?" I smiled and waited one of them to answer.
"We wanted to go out somewhere, maybe to the cinema?" explained my sister worriedly, not fooled by my smile.
"That's a good idea, what do you think about it, Cameron?" I looked at him for approval.
"It does sound like a good idea. What do you guys want to watch?" he asked always looking at me as I started to fidget to this much attention.
They discussed the movies they wanted to watch and when we should go. During all this time, I was subtly peeking at my boyfriend. How in the world did I do to have a man or Daemon like him to like me this much?
Really, if only Deus would let us alone then everything would be perfect. Cameron wouldn't have to suffer this much pain when he lost me for the first time. I could still feel his warm tears on my cheeks before he too was taken away from me. Deus would have to pay for what they did. I would make them pay myself. I would make them suffer as much... No one hundred times more than what Cameron and I did.
"You're doing it again." Cameron whispered into my ear making have a heart attack.
"Sorry..." I answered trying to calm my racing heart.
"What is troubling your mind?"
"I don't really know, but I have been feeling uneasy since this morning..." I mumbled. "I think I'm tired and I'm saving energy?" I explained as if I was asking a question.
Cameron sighed. "Maybe we should go home early. There's only English and Science class left and your friends are in it, so they could pass their notes." he decided by himself.
Before I could even complain, my boyfriend was already asking James and Alex to take notes for me since he would take me back home because I was feeling unwell. Then he grabbed my arm and took me out of the cafeteria. I was so confused about what was happening that I didn't fight his grab. He didn't even let me go when we were in one of the bathroom cabins. Seconds later, we were already back at our house. Only then, Cameron finally decided to let my arm go.
"Now, tell me what really trouble your mind." he ordered.
"I heard a bit of your conversation this morning. That someone or something was found roaming around the house. I think that was the cause of all these daydreaming." I explained feeling a bit guilty.
"You heard about that?" he sighed. "It's okay, I'm not mad. You don't have to worry a thing, no matter what it is, I'll take care of it." he explained taking me into his arms.
"What if you get hurt, or worse?" my voice trembled.
"I can't die, for them anyways. No matter what happens, I'll always return to you. Not even time will convince otherwise." I nodded in answer even if the thing I wanted to say burnt my tongue.
I promise to get stronger and to not fall like 700 years ago. This time, I would be the one saving Cameron and the one to destroy Deus once for all.
