I awoke to find a note on the kitchen counter written from Camila.
Y/N ,
went out to pick up a few things from the store, I hope you're ok.. I'm sorry if I upset you earlier maybe we can talk about it over dinner tonight? Or maybe not.

After setting the note down, I walked to the fridge and pulled out a can of yoo hoo shook it up, popped the tab and chugged it. Just then my phone rang opening the screen I glanced at the numbers 000-000-0000 I furrowed my brow and answered
"Yeah, hello?"
No response
"Hello?"
"Click"
I glanced at my phone and shrugged it off and continued drinking my yoo hoo. I was startled by the sound of keys being pushed into the front door. As the door opened Camila stood struggling with grocery bags her little 5'2 frame trying her best to carry the load. I rushed over to her and took the bags from her hands
"Oh you're awake thank you for a minute I wasn't sure if I could even open the door" she said happily as she smilled at me Camila wore a pair of tight joggers that showed her amazing curves and toned butt and a grey crop top, her long dark hair was in a messy bun.
I helped carry the groceries to the kitchen and began putting the items into their respected places.
"Thank you so much babe" she said softly
"No problem" I replied staring at an odd item wondering where it went.
"Cumin that goes in the seasoning cabinet" she said
"I'm making Spaghetti tonight and a little side salad I know its your favorite and I thought we could make banana splits together for dessert so I went and grabbed a bunch" Camila said
"Oh yeah that sounds really good" I replied
Camila began dinner almost immediatley and I was put on salad duty with I didn't mind. Camila was a great cook in fact she was a fucking awesome cook but I guess by her being Cuban it ran in her blood.
I stood chopping cucumbers as Camila began singing her voice was beautiful so I stood and watched her not realizing how long I was staring
"Those cucumbers aren't going to cut themselves babe" she said giggling at me
"What?" I said snapping out of my daze
"Oh sorry, it's been a while since I heard you sing you sound beautiful" I said going back to my cucumbers.

After dinner, Camila and I decided to skip the banana splits and have. A glass of wine by the fireplace the night was cold about 50 degrees. Camila and I sat around talking and laughing about stupid things it was still pretty early and I wanted to go for a walk I asked Camila if she cared to walk with me bit she declined because she wanted to have a shower and go to bed after seeing her off, I headed towards the sidewalk the temperature had risen within the hour so it was now around 65 degrees just chilly enough for a Hoodie. I strolled down the sidewalk to a convenience store to grab a candy bar and a slushie. entering the store the clerk glanced up at me, smiled and went back to his newspaper
I walked to the candy Isle and scanned the sections for a snickers bar I then made way to the slushie machine and poured the icy blue liquid into the plastic cup.
"Hey honey that'll be $3.62" the clerk said as I handed him a $5 bill from my wallet the front entrace to the door swung open and in walked two guys wearing ski masks and dark clothing
"Alright old man give us the fucking money or we'll blow your goddamn head off"
"Okay ,okay take it easy fellas it's not worth it" the clerk said in a shaky voice
I stood staring at the two guys until the taller guy holding the gun caught sight of me
"Oh look what we have here" he said walking up to me pointing the gun at me
"Get your ass on the ground" he ordered I stood frozen unable to move
"I said get your ass on the ground bitch!" He yelled as he pushed me I lost my balance and fell to the ground
"Oh look we have a cripple here" the tall gunman said as I tried to regain my posture I stood up and faced him.
"Oh you don't obey me bitch" the next thing I knew I felt a sharp pain in my head I realized that I had been hit with the butt of his gun.
"Please leave her alone she doesn't have anything to do with this take your money and leave!" The clerk screamed
"Shut the fuck up old man!" The shorter guy shouted before he began pistol whipping the man behind the counter.
Just then the front door opened to reveal the Emerald Eye'd girl.
I watched her as she walked in casually past the guy behind the counter
"It looks like you've just walked into the wrong store pretty lady" the tall guy said pushing me to the ground I cried out in pain as my arm hit a metal news stand reopening my wound
"Wrong, it looks like you picked the wrong night to rob a fucking store " the girl said she turned to me
And stared for a minute "Close your eyes, you don't need to see this" I did as I was told as I drug myself behind a counter I peeked around the corner and saw what I couldn't belive
The two men circled Lauren as she stood still watching them waiting for either to make a move
"You come in here trying to play the fucking hero bitch you will die like that old man and that cunt over"
Before he could finish his words Lauren grabbed the guy by his neck and lifted him off of the ground I watched in awe as the guy struggled to breathe Lauren's eyes had changed from emerald green to a silver-blue color suddenly I felt my body being jerked up and something cold pressed against my head
"Lauren!" I screamed in pain as the guy bent my arm behind my back
"Let him go or she dies" the guy shouted Lauren threw the shorter guy into a rack of wine bottled busting them all over the floor.
She then waked up to us her eyes glowing
"If you don't let her go you will regret it" she said her voice was inhuman she sounded like a demon.
The guy held me tighter
"Lauren please" I choked out as tears fell from my eyes this drew her over the edge.
Almost in lightning speed Lauren grabbed the gun from the guys hand and crushed it inside of her hands she punched him in the face knocking him into a glass mirror he was out cold.
I glanced back at the guy and then towards the other both were out cold and the store clerk was dead
"We need to get out of here the police are coming" Lauren said softly her voice was back to normal "can u walk?" She asked me I nodded my head I was in pain.
Lauren helped me out of the store as we rounded the corner police swarmed the entrance of the storefront just as Lauren and I were pulling out of the back of the store.

Lauren sped down the road dodging traffic, car horns honking widely as she swerved through lanes
"Please slow down" I said she could hear the pain in my voice and slowed down immediatley
"You need to rest" she said placing her hand on my head I blacked out.

When I woke up I was in a different place the light was dim and I could hear the rain softly pouring outside I lay in a big bed with clean comfortable sheets the room looked old but well decorated I realized that I was in a warehouse..
I glanced around the room before I heard a door open and in walked Lauren with a first aid kit in Her hand I attempted to sit up but pain shot through my arm and my ribcage quickly disabling me. Lauren came to my side and gently lifted me up .
"Where am I?" I asked
"Don't worry, you're safe" she replied as she opened the kit and pulled out the nessesary items to clean and bandage my wounds.
"This might sting a little" she said as she gently dabbed an alcohol swab over the cut on my forehead
I hissed in pain.
"Sorry" she whispered
I glanced down at my arm which was already cleaned and bandaged.
Looking back at lauren I noticed how focused she was on my wound her soft Emerald eyes studied my cut intensley before she placed a bandage over it.
She then began to slowly lift my shirt but I quickly stopped her she looked up at me
"I need to check if your ribs are broken... can you stand up" she asked her voice was very raspy yet very soft and soothing. I obeyed her order and stood up my height towered over her. Though her head came to my collarbone.
She gently lifted my shirt as she looked into my eyes I was only wearing a black sports bra underneath and my dog tags I had gotten from as a gift from my real dad after he retired from the army lauren glanced down as her hands slowly rubbed over my toned stomach and abs I watched her.
Her hands were very soft and gentle "you have a broken rib... close your eyes" she said looking up at me I closed my eyes and felt her hands gently press against my ribcage I felt a burning sensation followed by an ice cold sensation I couldn't explain the feeling.
"Okay" she said I opened my eyes as she stared into my eyes and pressed against my stomach.
"Does that hurt?" She asked
"No" I replied
Lauren stared up at me our eyes met and I found it very hard to blink or turn away without thinking I leaned forward into her but she placed her hand on my cheek stopping me.
"You need to rest" she said turning away
"I'm not sleepy," I said gently taking her arm she quickly turned to look at me and then my hand on her arm I quickly let go of her
"Lauren, what are you? I saw what you did in the store no human can do something like that especially not a woman" I said
"That's not of your concern what I am" she said her voice mellow but harsh.
"Then why'd you save me? Why'd you bring me here why not just of let me die back there" I asked.
Lauren turned and stared at me.
"Because There are some things that you are better off not knowing" she said
"You need to sleep I will be back" she said walking up to me .
"I said I wasn't sleepy I should get home Camila will be worried about where I am" I said
Lauren touched my shoulder and I blacked out..
