I was in my room when I suddenly heard the noise from downstairs. I walked downstairs, feeling completely numb and empty.
I was standing on the stairs whilst I was looking at Taylor and Mike, kissing at the front door.
"We need to talk." I say completely cold ,crossing my arms.
They both quickly moved away and I walked to the kitchen, as if I'm ignoring them.
I sat down and they both came in. They sat in front of me at the table.
By Mike's looks, you could tell that he is still angry at me.
"Is this why you acted like an asshole?" I ask him looking at them, pointing with my words at their relationship.
"You have to understand.." Taylor asked
"I understand. I asked him." I say frowning
"Yes." Mike said quietly
"Well,you both acted hypocritical and you were criticising me when you are doing worse than I am." I said
"At least nobody saw us." Mike said, acting like a dickhead.
"Hey, fuck you." I spat out
"Guys, calm down." Taylor said and held Mike's hand.
We sat in the silence for a while until Mike started talking.
"She's right. I'm sorry Annabelle."
He said
"It's fucked, okay? And you know for how long I loved Taylor. And I know you understand our pain." He added
"What pain?" I asked
"Of being a couple from different cliques." He explained
"We were never a couple." I said and they looked confused
"That's the whole thing about it. The whole world saw us in that light, but we never been together." I finally said it
"But, you two were kissing." Taylor said hearing the rumors
"That's a lie." I said and began explaining.
"He kissed me only once, when he wanted to calm me down when I was upset." I explained.
They sat in silence,still confused
"And I understand him now. He realised it was a mistake, and now we should both move on." I said
"How do you know he realised it?" Taylor asks curiously
"It's either he is scared he will get kicked out, that's why he's got with that cheerleader. Or he doesn't want anything with me anymore, because now he is aware how dangerous it is." I explained
"I beg it's the second one." I added
"Why? that is the worst solution." Mike said
"It's the easiest. we both move on, and that's it. No problems." I said and got up leaving the room, because there wasn't much to say at all.
The time was passing by, and I didn't know what to do anymore.
He ruined it all.
