A friendly voice answered the phone. "Hello! Thank you for calling Waveroad dental practice, how can I assist you today?"
I tried to keep cool and relaxed, although my emotions were trying to take control of me. "Err.. Hi. I'd like to book an appointment?" I replied in a very nervous tone.
The cheerful female voice replied. "Yes of course. Can I just take your name please? And is this just a checkup or an emergency?"
Nervously I answered her questions. "My name is Lola. Miss Lola Quinton. And errrmm"
I didn't know what to do. My mouth was in agony but I didn't want to make a big deal. I went to reply when she suddenly said...
"Okay Miss Quinton. We have a slot free tomorrow at 11am with Dr Urie. Will this be okay for you?"
I answered with a "yes" and ended with a "thank you".
I then hung up the call and planted my face into my duvet cover. Tomorrow was going to be an eventful day...
