I giggled as I ran into my turtle's arms, not paying attention to the shopping bags I threw to the side in the process.
"And how is my awesome girlfriend today?" He smiled as he kissed both my cheeks, making me giggle.
"I got clothes!" I announced excitedly, pointing to the bags strewn across the ground.
"Oh! I wanna see!" He picked me up and spun me around, "Even though you'd look good even in a potato sack - just sayin'."
I smiled and pulled him toward our room, grabbing my bags along the way, "You're very flattering, My Turtle."
"Only for you, My Lady," He kissed me briefly, before I turned away teasingly to race to the bathroom to change.
I turned the knob and slowly walked out into the open, seeing Mikey and giving him a tiny smile. Mikey, meanwhile, looked like he'd just seen an entire planet made of pizza - starry-eyed and in awe.
"So, I'll take that as a good sign," I gestured to his gaping expression.
"You should take it as an amazingly radical sign," He corrected, grinning as he walked up to me, "You look absolutely beautiful!"
My face reddened as I mumbled, "Oh, I'm not all that."
I glanced down at my spunky orange sundress that flowed around my thighs, paired with my favorite pair of combat boots
"Yes, you are," He insisted, taking both my hands, "You're even more pretty than a pro fashion model, in my opinion."
I smiled, leaning forward to press a soft kiss to his lips, "How'd I get lucky enough to have as fantastic a boyfriend as you?"
"And how'd I land such a gorgeous girlfriend?" He replied quickly, stepping back a bit to give me a little bow, "May I have a dance with the beautiful lady?"
I laughed, whipping my iPod out of nowhere and starting a playlist. "Of course, good sir," I said as the music began to play.
