****Liam's POV****
"NIALL!" I screamed as soon as I saw him open the door. He didn't hesitate to run over to me, slamming our lips together and kissing me until I had to pull away and gasp for air. It was quite honeslty a great start to the morning...
"Oh Liam, oh my Liam," he whispered, holding me tightly. It was all surreal to me and I had to pinch myself (as best as I could) to make sure this wasn't another dream, but it was true that Niall was indeed with me.
"I love you so much, I can't even tell you how madly in love with you I am," Niall gushed, holding my face in his hands as he gave me quick and gentle kisses. He was trembling against me and I had to imagine I was trembling as well.
"I thought you were dead," I whispered as I had now seen the bandages around Niall's abdomen. Niall shook his head as he looked down at my wrists and then back at me.
"They did such horrible things to you Liam," he whispered as he touched the bandages on my wrists. I didn't want to ruin Niall's happiness, but the doctor was concerned that the cuts from the wire could result in amputation if they didn't heal, but he predicted I just wouldn't be able to walk for a few months and that my wrist movements had to be limited.
"I can't walk for a few months," I grumbled and Niall shook his head and held my face as I got a real close up look at those blue beauties.
"I don't care. I'll carry you wherever you want to go. You don't need to walk. I'll be your legs," he smiled and I couldn't help but blush slightly as I pushed my lips out for another kiss. He grinned as he gave me a kiss.
"I have a court appearance tomorrow," Niall whispered as he played with my hair. I let my fingers brush gently across his soft cheek and he smiled slightly.
"You're innocent, you'll be okay. I wish I could come," I sighed softly and he shook his head as he kissed my forehead.
"No, you need to get better and stronger. It'll only be for a few hours anyways," he waved it off with a smile as he snuggled into the hospital bed with me. We just stared at each other for what seemed like hours, but I didn't care.
"I should've just told you the truth from the moment I knew that I wasn't going to hurt you or steal from you. Maybe then, none of this would've happened," Niall whispered, not meeting my eyes as he looked down at my wrists in disgust. I watched as his fingers ran gently over the bruises on my body and the cuts on skin.
"I always knew you were't dangerous," I whispered as he smiled down at me. He shook his head and gave my head a kiss. He interlaced our fingers and I could still feel him shaking.
"It still doesn't feel real. I feel like you're going to be gone again any minute and I'll never see you again...I thought you were dead and I'd never get to see you again," I said softly as I squeezed his fingers tightly. Niall quickly pulled me tighter to him and rested his cheek against my head.
"No, no more thoughts like that. I'm here and I'm never going to ot be with you again," he replied firmly, and while I believed him, it was all up to the court really. Of course Niall hadn't committed a murder, but he had admitted to stealing and other things like that, but I did put into perspective that Niall had served a fair amount of jail time for a murder he didn't even commit, so maybe he'd be let go.
"You aren't going back tonight are you?" I asked frantically as I squeezed his fingers tighter. He looked down at me like I was crazy as he frantically shook his head, running his fingers along my arm gently.
"Never! I couldn't dream of it love," he whispered through a yawn before he smiled at me and snuggled down closer to me. He pecked my lips with a kiss before he began to trace shapes onto my chest. I couldn't help but smile as he did it; my life was finally working out for once. I was just going to lean over and ask Niall something, when a knock interrupted my plans. I mentally groaned, before answering,
"It's open!" Niall sat up quickly and I wanted to whine, but I perked up when Kate came in the room.
"KATE!" Niall exclaimed as he jumped off the bed and went over and attacked her into a hug. She laughed and I just frowned. I didn't recall Kate being exactly fond of Niall. Niall was talking really fast to Kate and she was nodding before she hugged him again.
"Is someone going to tell me what's going on?! I thought you two hated each other!" I cried as Kate and Niall spun around in alarm. Niall looked to Kate before he scampered back over to me and kissed my forehead.
"Kate's the one who got me out, she saved my life," Niall whispered as he brushed his fingers through my hair and Kate sat beside me.
"How are you feeling today Liam?" she asked softly and I grinned up at Niall as he smiled back.
"Loads better," I replied before I let my gaze settle on Kate. She smiled at me as she held my hand.
"Where's Jay?" I asked and she smirked at me and shook her head.
"He's pretty exhausted from dealing with me and everything. I told him to stay home and rest and that I'd be fine going by myself," she replied and I nodded as I saw Niall just lying in the bed as I talked to Kate.
"I brought your phone and laptop! I figured you probably wanted something to do right?" she started and I was going to interrupt that I could do loads of things with Niall but she butted back in, "Other than kiss Niall's face off," she grinned and I rolled my eyes as Niall popped up and stuck his tongue out at her.
"You're just jealous I get to kiss him as much as I want and you don't," Niall snapped and I chuckled as he kissed the top of my hand.
"Please," Kate snorted as she handed me my phone. I was going to grab it, but Niall beat me to it.
"Niall! I moaned as I tried to take it from him, but he was already absorbed in some sort of game and looked so adorable.
"It's hard to think just 24 hours ago Liam was unconscious and we had no idea where Niall was," Kate whispered as tears filled her eyes. Niall sat up in a frenzy and held me tight as I thought about it.
"At least Liam was unconscious, I was awake and thinking he was dead and gone forever," Niall mumbled against my hair. I felt my chest tighten as I thought about how I felt when I woke up and had no idea where Niall was.
"I'm sorry," I whispered and Kate coughed softly,
"Okay! Let's talk about something happier please!"
****Kate's POV****
Liam fell asleep in Niall's lap after countless hours of talking with him, so I took it upon myself to talk with Niall and clear everything up once and for all.
“He really likes you,” I whispered from where I sat next to Niall as he ran his fingers through Liam's hair. Niall's lips twitched into a smile as he looked over at me.
“I really like him,” he chuckled, pressing a quick and gentle kiss to Liam's temple. I took a deep breath and let it out quietly.
“Look Niall, I'm sorry for being so rude to you when we first met. I was just under a lot of stress with Jay leaving and Liam moving in...I shouldn't have acted that way,” I gushed and Niall shook his head with a shrug.
“Your assumptions about me were basically right in the first place. I wasn't and I'm not an angel, my intentions weren't good when I met Liam,” he admitted and I nodded while I fussed with my hair. Niall looked back at Liam and stroked his cheek gently as he took a refreshing breath.
"So you have a court appearance tomorrow?" I yawned and Niall nodded as he slowly untangled his body from Liam's, probably to go to the bathroom.
"Yes, and I'm hoping it'll go alright," he sighed as he stretched and resumed his cuddle session with the sleeping Liam. He ran his fingers so gently and carefully through Liam's hair that it made my heart swell to see how in love they were.
"I should be going Niall, good luck at your appearance, and if Liam's awake when you leave, tell him I'll be back tomorrow morning or afternoon," I whispered and Niall nodded as I walked over, pressing a kiss to Liam's head and kissing Niall's cheek before I made my way out of the hospital for the night and back to my flat. When I arrived, I made my way up to the door and fiddled with the lock before I finally got in.
"Jay! I'm-," I started, but stopped once I saw my living room transformed. Rose petals covered the floor along with candles lining the floor in what seemed to be a path. I held my breath as I began to follow the path, music filling the kitchen as I walked in. I found Jay smiling at me at the table with a gourmet meal filling the table. I smiled widely as I scampered over to him and kissed him.
"Oh babe, this is amazing," I whispered as I sat across from him.
"You've had a rough couple weeks so I figured you needed a break yeah?" he asked as I began to pile my plate and his with food.
"You are too perfect," I whispered and he just grinned as he gave me a glass of wine.
"How's Liam?" he asked as I took a sip of my wine and I smiled with a nod as I piled a forkful of food into my mouth.
"He's doing good; he's finally back with Niall," I chuckled softly through a yawn as I went to grab my roll and eat it. I saw Jay get up and I figured he was getting more wine so I took a bite of my roll and I immediately frowned as my teeth collided with something very hard.
"Jay, what is in these-," I started, but as I pulled whatever was hard out of my mouth I gasped and covered my mouth.
"Kate," Jay whispered as he took my hand as I continued to tremble, staring at the diamond ring in my hand. I turned to Jay as I started to cry, seeing him on one knee and a wide smile.
"Kate, babe, I love you more than you will ever be able to know. I've known since the moment we met that I was going to spend the rest of my life with you, and I know that sounds so cheesy, but it's true. I can't ever imagine either of us with anyone else, and I can't imagine a life where you're not with me. It would mean the absolute world to me if you would honor me and be my wife. Will you marry me Kate?" Jay spoke softly as he took the ring from my hand and held it up. I covered my mouth with my hands as I continued to cry as I knelt down to his level. I nodded furiously as I threw my arms around his neck and crying and laughing out of pure happiness.
"Yes! YES!" I exclaimed as I kissed him. He slid the ring onto my finger and I just stared at him in pure joy.
"Do you know how long I've waited to be able to ask you that?" Jay asked as he used his thumb to wipe away the tears still falling down my cheek.
"And now you're all mine," I whispered, hugging him again before he scooped me up into his arms and carried me down to our bedroom. He set me on the bed before he discarded his dress shirt and attacked me with powerful, passinate kisses...
