That afternoon she was in the middle of showing a new girl around the shops, when the phone in the office rang. "Hello". "Hi it's me, my parents have arrived". "Oh, great". "Why don't we meet in our cabin and I'll introduce you to them". "Ok, I'll be right up". Rebecca took the new girl back down to her cabin and asked Debbie if she would show her around the rest of the ship. Taking a deep breath she then ran up to their cabin.
Walking into the room, she found his parents sitting on the bed and his sister sitting on a chair near the door. "Sorry I'm late". "No problem" said Sandro taking hold of her hand. "I'd like you to meet my mum and dad". "Hello" she said shaking both of their hands. "Well finally we get to meet you" said Sandro's mum giving her a hug. "We've heard so much about you". "I've heard alot about you too". "I hope only the good stuff" she said laughing. "Mum"! Said Sandro. I'm only kidding" she said hugging them both. "Francesca come over here and I'll introduce you to Rebecca". His sister sat stubornly in her chair and didn't move. "Alzati"! Said Sandro's dad. Francesca got up immediatly and walked to the door. "I'm going to see Diane" she said as she opened the door and walked. Rebecca could feel the blood drain from her face.
"We're so sorry". "There is no excuse for our daughter's behaviour". "Don't worry about it" said Rebecca. "My daughter will come and appologise to you" said Dino. "I can assure you about that". He then walked out of the cabin in search of his daughter. Sandro's mum couldn't apologise enough to her. Rebecca pretended that she wasn't bothered about it, but deep down she was. When Sandro finally took his mum down to her cabin, Rebecca sat down on the bed exhausted as if she had run an emotional marathon. Sandro returned quickly. "I'm really sorry about Francesca" he said pulling her into his arms. "It's not your fault". "Are you sure you want to come to the bar after work"? "I wouldn't blame you, if you've changed your mind". Rebecca told him that it didn't matter and assured him that she would love to meet them all for a drink after work. Rebecca got ready for work and before going down went and knocked on Sadie's door and told her all about what had happened.
"How awful"! "What are you going to do"? "There's nothing I can do" said Rebecca regretfully. "I'll just have to hope that she see's what Diane's really like and then hopefully we can be friends". "Just wait and see" said Sadie. "I bet everything will work out in the end". With that both girls left Sadie's cabin and went down to the shops. That night the shops were busy and before she new it it was time to close. Rebecca ran up to there cabin and changed out of her uniform and then went down to the Pirates Cove where she had arranged to meet Sandro and his parents. Walking into the bar the first person she saw was Diane who was sitting beside Sandro at the table with his parents and sister, Rebecca waited a minute before she walked over to see what they were doing.
Diane was sat beside Sandro and every now and then she'd touch him or put her hand on his leg in a very familar way. Sandro was doing everything in his power to take her hands off of him. Rebecca could feel herself getting very angry and was on the verge of going over and telling her what she thought of her, when Sandro's mother saw her standing by the door, she stood up and called Rebecca over to there table. Diane was sitting there like the cat that'd eaten the cream and Sandro was looking very relieved to see her. Rebecca pretended that she hadn't seen anything and took her seat on the other side of Sandro. He stood up and gave her a long kiss and when Rebecca looked around the table she saw Sandro's Sister Francesca giving her dirty looks.
Diane tried desperatly to keep the attention on herself but Sandro's parents were determined that that wouldn't happen. "Rebecca you don't know how glad we are that Sandro has met you". "I've never seen my son so happy". "That's not true"! Said Diane sobbing as she ran out of the bar. Francesca let out a big gasp and said "You know she's right." "Sandro was ten times happier with Diane then with her".Throwing Rebecca a really dirty look she went running after her. "Don't worry Rebecca"! "Diane has always been a good actress". "I must apologise for my daughter's behavior; unfortunatly she has got Francesca wrapped around her little finger".
"Don't worry about it" said Rebecca. She is still young hopefully one day she will realise her mistake"! "You can say that again" said Sandro "but enough talking about her". "Let's change the subject"! "Good idea"! "Why don't you show me your ring, the way Sandro described it; it must be fantastic"! "Oh it is" said Rebecca showing it to her as his mother's eyes filled with tears. "I am so glad that he has finally found the girl of his dreams and I know that we will become good friends". Rebecca was so touched by his mother's words that tears came to her eyes.
The rest of the evening went great, Rebecca and Sandro's parents got on really well and it seemed as if they had known each other for a long time. When they were leaving the bar to go to there cabin his mum put her arm around her and said" I think we will get on like a house on fire". Rebecca hugged his mum and then his dad and promised that she would have dinner with them in the dining room the following night. As they were walking up to there cabin Sandro pulled her close to him and whispered in her ear, "You are fantastic, and my parents really loved you". "Your parents yes" said Rebecca "but your sister no". "I was really angry when I walked into the bar and saw Diane sat beside you". "I couldn't help but notice that she was taking every opportunity to touch you". "I'm afraid that it was my sister's fault". "She invited Diane to sit at are table and when she went to sit down near my dad, my sister got up and gave her her seat". "My mother was really angry and I think my dad's going to have a strong talk with her tonight". "I feel rather sorry for Diane even if she's brought it all on herself". "But I warn you, if she oversteps her position, I won't stand by and let her do that". "Don't worry"! "I also told her tonight that enough was enough and if she carries on like this I'll speak to the chief purser and see if I can get her transfered". While they were talking they were heading up to there cabin and when they reached it Sandro pulled her into his arms and started kissing her, "enough talking for one night". "I have a good idea how we can spend the next couple of hours." Sandro pulled Rebecca to him and whispered in her ear. Rebecca couldn't help but giggle and it was along time before she had the breath to talk.
The next day was the Captains cocktail party and Rebecca had gotten special permission from the captain to eat together with Sandro and his family. Sandro came into the shop to get her and he went and thanked Jenny who had given Rebecca the rest of the night off. "You look fantastic"! "Thank you" said Rebecca. "Where are your parents"? "There waiting for us in the restaurant". "I think my dad's had a talk to my sister because she's being too nice to me and she hasn't mentioned Diane yet, so that is a good sign". They walked into the restaurant and Rebecca found to her surprise that they were sat at the captains table.They had a really enjoyable dinner and then they all went to watch the show. His sister didn't speak to her but she wasn't throwing her dirty looks anymore. Before they went into the lounge Rebecca excused herself and went to the bathroom, while she was in there she heard the door open and the voices of Francesca and Diane. Francesca was talking to Diane and said "Last night my dad was so angry with me". "Why" asked Diane? "Because I gave you my seat and he told me that if I didn't start acting my age he was going to stop paying my fees for University". "Oh, he wouldn't do that" said Diane. "Yes he would and it's all that English girls fault". "I don't know what my brother sees in her but just the thought of her being my sister in law, makes my want to throw up". "You would have made a great sister in law Diane". "I would do anything to make him change his mind, but he can't see what she's really like". "Well, I have a really good idea, but I'll have to tell you later because I must go". "I'm already late for work". "I'll see you later". "Okay" said Francesca. "Bye".
Rebecca had heard all of the conversation while she was in the bathroom and now that Sandro's sister was alone she came out. She looked surprised and shocked when she saw her coming out of the bathroom. In that precise moment Sandro's mum walked into the bathroom. "I was a bit worried because you two have been in here so long, I hope you haven't said or done anything to upset Rebecca". Francesca went white in the face and looked at Rebecca. "We have been getting to know each another and having a nice friendly chat". "Oh"! "I'm so happy" said Gina. "I was hoping that you would become friends and maybe the talk you had with your dad, has finally made you listen for once in your life". Francesca only nodded her head and the three of them left the bathroom together. Later on in the disco, when they were alone, Francesca turned to Rebecca "You may think you did me a favour in there, but I still think that Diane is a much better match for my brother then you will ever be!" "I think you need to realise that your brother is older enough to make his own desisions!" "Well, we'll just have to see about that, won't we?"She said as she turned and walked out of the disco. That night when they were in the cabin Rebecca was very quite. "What's wrong you seem worried about something"? "Nothing!" "I'm just a little tired" come here! He put his arms around her and started kissing her. It was a gentle kiss at first and then the passion took over. I can't get enough of you he said as his hands started moving all over her body. Rebecca returned the kiss as if her life depended on it. They quickly got undressed and Sandro entered her immediatly, the passion took over so quickly that they couldn't get enough of each other. "Oh Sandro, don't stop"! "I couldn't stop even if my life depended on it!" He only had to move two or three times and they both came together. Rebecca could feel tears rolling down her cheeks, "Oh God did I hurt you" he asked as he wiped her tears away. Noo! It was the most earth shattering orgasim I've ever had! "Well that's a relief"!
He said as he carried her to bed. The next day they were at sea all day and the shops were busy, when they had time to talk Rebecca told Sadie all about the conversation she had heard in the bathroom. "Why don't you tell Sandro"? "No"! "I want to see if I can handle this on my own". "I'll just have to be careful and if I see that it's getting out of hand then I'll call for backup". "Well you can count on me". "I know. I couldn't have found a better friend then you!" All of a sudden while the girls were hugging each other Rebecca felt the baby move. "Oh! Did you feel that" said Rebecca moving back in surprise. "Yes she's been moving quite alot just lately". "What do you mean she has been moving, isn't it too soon to know if it's a girl or a boy"? "Yes it is, but I have a gut feeling that it's a girl". "Oh! Here I am telling you all about my problems and I haven't even asked you how your blood tests went". "Everything is going great, but I think this will be my last week at work". "I've already told Jenny and she has faxed the office". "What are you going to do?" "Paolo doesn't get off for another couple of months, does he"? "No, and he's made plans for me to stay on; it's just that I'm always so tired:" "I don't feel as if I'm doing my share of the work". "It's only fare that someone else takes my place". "Well, I can tell you that I'm so glad your staying on board". "I don't know what I'll do when you go". "Don't start talking like that you'll have me in tears" said Sadie wiping her eyes. The girls hugged each other again and then some passengers walked in and they had to go back to work. After lunch the shops weren't that busy and Sandro's mum walked in on her own.
"Hi there". "Oh! Hi" said Rebecca surprised to see her. "I thought I'd come and have a look around the shops". "What a good seletion of perfume you have"; "I've been wanting to buy myself some new perfume and Sandro has just been telling me, that you do a perfume test". "Yes" said Rebecca and explained to her how it worked. The two of them spent nearly an hour trying different types of perfume, until they finally found one that suited his mother best. They laughed and laughed and before they new it they had a crowd of passengers watching them test the perfume. After Sandro's mother paid for her perfume Rebecca was in demand from all the other passengers who wanted to try the test. Sandro's mum went out of the shop laughing and Rebecca couldn't help smiling for the rest of the day. It turned out to be one of the busiest days she had had in along time. That night was New Years eve and they all decided to go up and celebrate it with Sandro's family, Rebecca finished work at 10.00 and then went to get changed Sandro was waiting for her in the lounge after seeing the show with his parents. Rebecca put on her new dress which she had bought in L.A... She looked fantastic and hurried down to where Sandro was waiting. When she walked into the lounge, he was waiting for her near the door. "Wow"! "You look fantastic" "This is going to be one heck of a night!" Taking her hand he led her to where his parents were waiting. Sandro went to the bar and ordered a bottle of champagne. "We're starting early" said Dino Sandro's dad. "Yes, it's still early but we have alot to celebrate said Sandro popping the bottle of champagne.
The lounge was full of passengers and everyone was in a party mood. The entertainment staff went round giving all the passengers party hats with whistlers and blowers, there was already a good majority of the passengers up on deck dancing and singing with the band. Finishing the champagne they made there way up on deck to where the majority of people were. Rebecca saw Sadie with Paolo and some of the other shoppies and made her way over to where they were. Sandro followed with his parents. Looking at the time Rebecca saw that there were only a few minutes to go before the New Year. Dino ordered another bottle of champagne and they all filled there glasses, five four three two one Happy New Year. Everyone started jumping up and down and Sandro threw his arms around Rebecca and gave her a long passionate kiss. "Happy new year!" "My love". "Happy new year"! She said with tears running down her face. "Hey!" "What's wrong"? "I always get a bit emotional at new years and this year is a very specaial one". "I agree with you one hundred percent" said Sandro. "But next New Year will be even better!" Sandro's dad pulled Rebecca out of his arms and on to the dance floor and at the same moment Sandro grabbed hold of his mum and they all started dancing. "I hope this new year all your dreams come true!" said Dino. "I hope so too!" "Just meeting you and Gina has made me very happy". "Sandro's very lucky to have parents like you". "Well, we think the same thing about you". "He couldn't have met a better person and we are very happy for the both of you". Rebecca turned to look for Sandro, but he wasn't any where to be seen. "Dino did you see where Sandro went"? "No!" "He was here a minute ago". Gina had just come off the dance floor and Rebecca went up to her. "Have you seen Sandro?" "Yes he was talking to Francesca and he told me to tell you that he would be right over". Rebecca walked back to the table with Gina and about ten minutes later Sandro arrived. "I'm sorry about that, but I had to talk to Francesca".
"What happened"? "Has she been playing up again"? "You know what Francesca's like, when she wants something, she doesn't stop untill she gets it". "But, I'm afraid that this time her little plan didn't work". Rebecca could feel herself go cold, remembering the conversation she had heard in the bathroom between his sister and Diane. "Well! Don't keep us in suspense!" "Tell us, what she's gone and done this time?" said Gina and Dino. "Oh! She only tried to get me to go out on the deck with Diane". "She told me that Diane was having a problem with a passenger": "I was supposed to go out and save her". "Then Francesca was going to go and get Rebecca and bring her out on deck at the precise moment that Diane was going to kiss me"! "Before she had chance to put there plan into action, I over heard them talking and pulled Francesca to one side and made her tell me the truth!" Dino swore in Italian and went to look for Francesca. "I warned her if she continued being like this, she could forget about university"! Rebecca grabbed hold of Dino's hand and said "Please don't be so hard on her". "I think Sandro's said enough to her to make her fear for her health". "If you don't mind, I'd like to talk to her myself". Dino stopped and looked at Rebecca "Are you sure you want to do this"? "Yes, where is she"? Sandro indicated where Francesca was sat and walked over to her. When Rebecca stopped at the table Francesca looked up and said "I bet you've come to gloat". "No"! I think you should think carefully about what you're doing". You're risking your future and your relationship with your brother". "He is important to both of us and I think it's a good idea if we try to be friends". "You can say what you want, but you're wasting your breath". "I already have a friend and her name is Diane and I am still sure that she is better suited to Sandro then you will ever be"! Rebecca stood up and walked away. "What did she say"' asked Sandro walking over to join her. "Not a lot! "Did you get chance to talk to her"? "No, she is still convinced that I'm not the right person for you and I don't think anything I say or do will change her mind". "Listen, I think she has already ruined are night enough"! "Let's go and have some fun"! "With that he pulled her onto the dance floor".
The rest of the night was great fun and it was very late when they went to bed.
