"I was thinking, maybe you could come stay with me for a while?" Logan tried to speak to me again. This made me angrier than I already was.

Without looking at him, I grabbed the books I needed from my locker and slammed it shut. "And I was thinking maybe you could just get lost. I don't know, maybe go accuse someone else of sleeping around behind your back."

Let's pause for a moment and rewind to how we got to this point.

I woke up and instantly found myself looking at the flask of blood across my bedroom. Once I had figured out what was inside the bottle, I ran to my room with the bottle in hand and locked the door. I spent my weekend staring at the bottle. They all tried to open the door to talk to me but I couldn't. I was lost and confused, I had things to figure out and I needed to do it on my own.

As Monday came, I seemed to slowly become a character in The Walking Dead. I was tired, my skin lacked pigment; it was almost gray. I went from glowing to a corpse in three days. My eyes were sunken in and dilated, let's be honest here- I looked disgusting. I got dressed and stepped out of my room for the first time since Friday.

"Oh dear! Honey come quick!" My mom called out to my dad. "It's Tyler!" The patter of feet running towards me halted as my dad and brother took in my appearance.

"Woah.." Frankie said. Yeah, I get it. I look like human trash.

Mom reached a hand out to touch my shoulder. Once her fingers brushed against my skin, I flinched as if my skin would burst into flames any second. Tears formed in her eyes and her bottom lip shook. "Tyler I want you to go to your room and go to bed. You aren't going to school today."

I rolled my eyes and went to step pass her. Frankie gently stopped me. "Guys I'll be fine. Just let me go to school."

"No. Ty you are staying home." Frankie said. "Listen, you know that you don't look... that great right now. And your entire aura is about to break into a million pieces. Stay-"

"Ty-ty?" Tori walked out of her room, rubbing her eyes.  I turned around and saw her with a sad smile.  "Drink the juice Ty-ty. It'll make you better."

My mom and dad looked at each other and then back at me. "Drink it," my dad said unsurely. "We tried years ago to stop this from happening, but it never works. If this is what's been helping you over the years, then do it. Besides, if Victoria says it's the right thing to do than it must be true." We all looked at little Tori. She had a far away look in her eyes yet they twinkled.

"If she doesn't drink, she'll die. If she does drink, she'll heal. She'll need more until her body can't take anymore and she'll need to change-"

"Tori what are you-" I was cut off my my brother's whisper.

"Psychic, remember? She's telling you what she sees. It's not always 100% correct, because you can change your fate."

Tori continued, but her eyes lost the twinkle. "She has to drink it, mama! I don't want her to die!" She began to cry and latched onto our mothers leg. My mom looked up at me, tears running down her cheeks, her eyes pleading.

"Don't make me do it. I won't!" I growled. My voice was hoarse and animalistic. I grasped at my throat and gasped.

Frankie squeezed my hand, "Tinkerbell, please. We don't like the idea either. But it's the only way right now." He stared into my eyes. Never in my life, have I seen my brother this upset. He looked as if he were about to break down any second.

I slipped my hand out of his, making him grimace and look down thinking I wasn't going to cooperate. I nodded at my mom, watching relief wash over her face. I walked back to my room and slowly approached the flask. As I got closer, my head pounded, my body ached and twitched. As soon as I opened the cap, the sweet smell hit me in the face. Lifting the bottle to my lips, I closed my eyes. It'll all be over soon. The liquid flooded into my mouth and down my throat. I felt refreshed right away; as if I just woke up from a long nap. I drank until the last drop. I closed the lid on the empty bottle and opened my eyes.

"Tyler, I'm sorry. I just don't want to see you d- woah." Frankie stood in the doorway with wide eyes. "You did it, didn't you? You drank it."

I nodded. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I turned to face the mirror and once I saw my reflection I gasped, dropping the flask to the floor. Like the other day, my appearance was glowing. I wasn't a walking corpse, I was a a living being; skin like porcelain, hair like silk, eyes- okay, let me stop there. It's starting to sound like a description of Snow White. Gulping, I turned to my brother and gave a sad smile. "See, I'm fine. I'll be going to school now." I ran past him, not grabbing any breakfast because for some reason I was full.

I didn't even wait for a ride to school, I ran there. I weaved in between moving cars in the street, earning the sound of beeps and screeching brakes in the process. As the school was is seeing distance, I heard my name being called from behind. I didn't bother to look back, only kept moving forward.

"Ms. Calypso, please stop running through the halls!" The principle yelled as I busted through the school doors. I skidded to a stop, and looked around.

The world around me spun. Every color was heightened; every scent, every sound. Every thump of a human heart could be heard from a mile away. I couldn't focus on anything for more than a second. My eyes leaped from one object to the next, studying it in record time. I could smell the cafeteria cooking lunch from around the corner and the locker rooms from across campus. My own heart plummeted in my chest while my mind raced with a new feeling. "Tyler, hey!" Someone's hands gripped my shoulders and shook me out of focus.

As soon as I saw their face I shoved him away. I immediately walked towards my locker, sliding through crowds. "Tyler, please wait!" Logan called out. He caught up to me and reached for my hand but I yanked it away. "How are you feeling, love? Better?" Bile rose in my throat as he dared to asked questions as if he even cared. I ground my teeth together, and continued to shove my way through the halls.  "Well you look better. Did your parents heal you or something? Tyler, please answer me."

I rolled my eyes, finally arriving at my locker and entering my combination. "I was thinking, maybe you could come stay with me for a while?" Logan tried to speak to me again. This made me angrier than I already was.

Without looking at him, I grabbed the books I needed from my locker and slammed it shut. "And I was thinking maybe you could just get lost. I don't know, maybe go accuse someone else of sleeping around behind your back." I turned away but his next words stopped me from moving forward.

A growl rumbled from within Logan's throat, "You drank it. Didn't you? You drank that... That monster's blood!" My anger turned into a burning fire, I'm pretty sure I had steam coming from my ears. Inhumanly possible, I spun around and punched a giant dent into my locker, which was conveniently right next to Logan's head.

"Listen, and listen well. Yes I drank the blood. I drank the blood for me, for my family, and... Well, I thought you. But you seem to not care if I live or die." His eyes widened and he went to protest but I cut him off. "I drank it to stay alive, because for whatever reason, I'm dying. I've been dying for a long time and who ever this Kaiden Bradley is, has been keeping me alive. Now get this through your head; you can go play fetch with my cousin for what it's worth. You made me cry, and no one not even my so-called mate," he flinched, "will ever get away with making me cry. You hurt me, Logan. You need to give me time to heal, mentally and physically, before you can even consider so much as saying anything other than hello right now."

"But Tyler, I didn't mean it! I didn't mean what I said!"

"Logan, just stop! Leave me alone for now, okay? You've made a mistake, I get that because everyone does. But the point is, you didn't even say sorry! You just-" I sighed, "Just give time Logan. I need to figure things out anyways."

Logan looked broken with tears in his eyes. He nodded, taking in what I was telling him. "I understand. But I want you to know, that I am sorry. I really am, and I will do everything and anything I can to make up for it. I will stand behind you the entire time, as long as it takes, I will always be here for you."

I nodded and spun around with liquid emotions threatening to leave my eyes. I began to walk to my first period class with tear stained cheeks, a sharp pain in my heart, and not one bloody or broken knuckle.
