Riker's P.O.V.

My sweaty hands hesitated on knocking on the door. Her door.

I'm not going to mess this up, or am I?

I rubbed my hands with the little handkerchief, shifting the roses bouquet from one hand to another.

Let's not mess this up.

My hands slowly made contact with the door bell, as my anxiety took over me.

Moments later Ross came in view, making me furrow my eyebrows. I don't remember deciding on going out with my brother.

"Hey bro, " he grinned, his messy hair pulled backwards, "jee, Riker. You seem so nervous."

"I am anxious Ross. I've never liked someone so badly, " I choked out before he chuckled.

"You know me and Hailes set you guys up from the very start. Ruby likes you too. All you have to do is relax, and just be yourself. " he said pulling me in as I gulped nodding.

"Where are you taking her? Cause it seems like something fancy," Ross smiled stuffing his hands into his jeans pocket.

"Carthay Circle, " I replied making his eyes go wide. "Woah. That's like...The most expensive restaurant I know."

I nodded placing the bouquet on the counter. "Do you think she'll like it?"

"Riker, " he chuckled, "it's not about how expensive it is, it's about how special it is. I remember mine and Hailey's first date, it was a picnic in a very quiet yet beautiful place. It was pretty ordinary, but it was the best date I've ever had. Because it was special. So what I'm saying is, make it special. I know she'll love something that fancy, but on top of It all, you guys have to make the most of your time. Alright?"

My younger brother gives real good dating advice.

I heard a clucking sound of footsteps, knowing it's her, as I grabbed the boquet walking off to the source.

There she is.

How beautiful she looked, oh god I'm staring.

I couldn't help but have the same reaction of when I met her the first time, except that she got even more beautiful. Every day she does.

Her light faded peach color short dress, her cute heels, and her braided ebony hair, even her sparkly baby blue eyes.

Those plumped lips of hers seemed to draw me in so badly, I had to hold the urge to not kiss her here.

"Hey," she spoke softly, looking deep Into me.

"You look incredibly beautiful," I said before lowering my head to plant a soft kiss on her cheek.

It was an urge that pulled me in, and it seemed like I got defeated.

"You look great too," she blushed clutching her purse.

"Where's Lexi? She could've tagged along with us," I asked her scratching the back of my head.

"She kept me up all night long yesterday. She just slept, and Hailey and Ross are taking care of her for me." She said softly just as Hailey walked in, moving to Ross.

"Hold my hand? " I asked making her nod, smiling as her dimples shone.

"I'd be glad to."

I interlocked our hands, my eyes not leaving her figure.

I couldn't help but stare, she looked so petit compared to me. Her little strapless dress and the heels on her that made her look slightly taller, yet still small.

I stopped halfway to the door, and grabbed her cheeks kissing her fully on the lips. The shocks couldn't be more sensationable. Resisting those sweet lips is seriously hard, and all I could do was attack them. Her kisses made my scars heal. The way our lips moved together, as our heads tilted in passion, deepening the kiss made my heart jump in joy.

I never cared about having Ross and Hailey in the same room, all I could do was concentrate on her kisses.

I pulled away, pecking her jawline a few times making her smile. "You're beautiful, Ruby."

"You said that twice," she giggled making me blush. Just then, an awe echoed through the room causing our heads to whip to the source.

Hailey had her hand interlocked with Ross's as they both looked at us, standing side to side a smile plastered on their faces.

She concentrated back on me, seizing my chin in her petit hands, making my eyes meet hers.

That's where we start.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
I opened the car door, linking her hand with my arm as we stood in front of the luxurious decored restaurant.

Ruby brushed her chiffon dress softly, before her blue crystal eyes landed on the entrance. "That looks so beautiful."

I walked her off to the door, as our bodies immediately calmed down to the warm, romantic atmosphere. It was all surrounded by deep brown colored, wooden like walls. The lightning was a soft golden haze above each table, and scented candles rested on each one to complete the look.

"A table for two under the name Lynch, please?" I called our to the receptionist as she looked through the reservations book. Her eyes darted until they reached a certain spot on the long page, placing a tick with the golden coated pen.

"Please, follow me," she said as Ruby and I walked off a few feet behind her.

We sat down next to the wood carved framed window, looking at the breathtaking view.

We weren't sat exactly opposite of each other, our chairs were diagonally settled, each pointing towards the window.

Ruby had her clutch on the table cloth, next to the candle stand. "This place looks so elegant," she spoke softly, staring at the window.

"I'm glad you like it, precious," I grabbed her hand, making her dimples shine.

She just looked into me, both her hands under her chin. I mimicked her actions, staring into her blue eyes.

"So...." she said trying to break the ice. "How has your day been?"

"Great. You know, just the normal stuff."

This was never normal.

It was like we had no topic to talk about, no situation to tell, no words to speak. Awkwardness was arriving in a bad way, and it was not good. We were never awkward around each other, really.

She was trying her best to open a chat, a topic, anything. But nothing seemed to work.

"Hello, I'll be your waiter for tonight , what may I get you? " a waiter broke our staring fit, eyeing Ruby's body deeply. His eyes were basically burning into her skin.

"Uh, eyes up here," I called out, clearly annoyed at how irritating that was.

He just smirked, opening the notepad to start writing.

Pathetic.

He took our orders before placing the pen in his pocket, winking at Ruby as he left. I'd rather be choking the fuck out of him, than have a calm talk.

Minutes of silence passed between us. The ice was 10 metres thick, with complete Awkwardness.

This is not how I wanted everything to go. I wanted to have talks with her, chat all night long, feel the hour as a minute. But instead, is was all the other way around.

The waiter came with the plates, placing them in front of us. And yet again, his eyes darted and sealed on every inch of her body.

Even I have never done such a thing.

She looked at me as I grabbed my fork, making my head shoot up to meet her eyes. I smiled holding the fork, as her hand reached to her fork.

I dug the fork in the chocolate coated strawberry, leading it to her lips. She smiled warmly looking at me, before she opened them softly.

Just as it neared her mouth, it fell off the fork.

On her dress.

Oh god.

"Oh my god, I am extremely sorry, " my face fell, reddened, and heatened, as I began to stutter.

"No, it's fine," she said before the waiter came back handing her the napkin, smirking.

"Need help on emotional states, sir?" He said before leaving Ruby and I.

"That was odd," Ruby semi - chuckled right after he left making me frown. "Yeah, I'm doing everything oddly enough to make you not want this again" my eyebrows furrowed, a frown clear on my face.

This was the last thing I would've wanted to see for this night.

"Riker, of course not," she said after stroking the napkin over the stain. "You'd probably want to leave for that waiter and I just-"

" he's much younger than me, don't exaggerate a simple mistake you did. And I uh," she paused reaching for my hand. " I'm mostly attracted to older blondes, whose names start with an R."

"My dance friend, Robert? "

"No, silly. I like you," she smiled rubbing my hands softly. "Well, you certainly don't after the long, awkward date," I looked down scratching the back of my neck. "This might've been the worst date you went on."

"Honey, no," she spoke softly before bring her chair right next to me. "Not just because a little awkwardness arrised between us, means that the date is officially bad, or off the table."

"Riker, you worked almost seven months just to earn my trust. You waited for me. You protected me. I used to panic nearing a guy, and I let your lips press on mine. I let you hold my daughter, the most precious thing I own. I'm not throwing all of that away because of a date that was a little awkward, in fact this is the best date I've ever had. Know why?"

I shook my head no, as her smile formed slowly, making my hands wrap around her side, " because it's with you, Riker. Anything with you would be magical. This is just a first date, not everything would go perfect,
But most of it will. Getting to be with you was the best part. So even though you don't like how this went, how about we have a little movie cuddle? With Lexi just like you wanted."

"Are you asking me out on a date, precious,?" I held her against my side ad she rested her head on my chest, nodding. "Well, I'd love to."

Hailey's P.O.V.

Weeks later

"Hailey, baby I'm leaving for the set, alright?" I heard Ross say, shaking me slightly and softly.

I rubbed my eyes, my head still lying on the soft mattress of his bed.

Opening my eyes, his soft hazel ones shone into me, as I looked at his blond hair.

I sat up sliding my legs off the side of bed, my hand resting on the mattress for support. He kneeled down in front of me, as I yawned stretching.

"Good morning, snowy," he softly said, resting his palm on my pajama short covered thighs. I grabbed his chin, placing my hands on his neck, giving him a light kiss on the lips before I stood up.

"Good morning, love."

"Slept well last night? " he asked brushing the curls off my face. Nodding, I rubbed my eyes again, not feeling fully awake yet.

"Very well, indeed."

My eyes adjusted to the light a bit more, as I turned to him seeing he's already fully dressed, his phone in his hand.

I got to the bathroom, dragging my clothes from his closet. Considering I mostly sleep at his, I always leave an outfit or two, and a pair of shoes, as he did the same.

I locked the door behind me, deciding on weather i should take a three minutes shower, or not.

"Ross, can I use your shampoo?" I called out, making my mind up.

"Yeah, sure Snowy," he replied shortly after, a smile clearly emphasised by his sweet, deep tone.

I striped down, deciding on a nice, cold shower.

It's been a month and a half since Ross and I started dating, yet his angelic personality made me feel like it's been more than 5 months, knowing we started as being friends as the bond got stronger gradually.

He always acts like he's still trying to get me, when I'm already his. Which makes the relationship healthier than ever.

I turned off the water, getting the towel from beside me to get dried and put my clothes on.

Hurrying downstairs I saw Stormie preparing breakfast. I ran at her, Greetings her with a kiss on the cheek before heading off to the rest in the living room.

Ross sat on the couch with his arm slung over the head rest, chatting with Rocky. I sat on the empty spot right next to him, holding his hand to put it over my shoulder.

He turned to me smiling sweetly, interlocking our hands.

"Hey Hailes, " rocky called, grabbing both Ross's and I's attention. "Remember when you had that humongous crush on Ross?"

Ross turned his head to me, smirking so wide, his dimples were crystal clear. I rolled my eyes, although I couldn't help but crack a smile.

"Was that what you meant by having your lips sealed, Rocky?"

He waved his hand dismissively before placing it behind his head.

"It's not like Ross never had a-"

"Wow, really? Really Rocky? Shut up, dude." Ross cut him off before standing up with me, fixing his arm on my shoulder, interlocking our hands again.

"Do you wanna come with me to the set? " he asked, walking to the kitchen counter.

" I already went with you yesterday, love," I giggled making him smile. He twisted his wrist to look at his watch, before looking back at me.

"I gotta go now, snowy. Kiss, kiss?" He pointed at his lips making me chuckle at his cheesiness.

I stood on my tiptoes giving him a sweet, long, kiss in return, smiling as he pulled away to peck them a couple of times.

"Bye, love," I said standing back on my feet, before he went left through the door, waving at me.

Skipping off, I decided on heading to his room, to check the diary I left yesterday at his commode.

I got in, not bothering to close the door before I made my way to his made bed, sitting on my stomach with the book opened in front of me.

A new day, a new page, a new life changing quote.

Open up your heart

Swell down your fears

Just like the throw of a dart

Shed your mind with tears

After all, the heart's the source

The only little creature inside you that's kind

Don't let your brain have force

Don't give it a piece of your mind

How it pumps love, trust and dread

And how the upper junk doesn't.

It's just a useless friend

Following it is a 'mustn't'....

"What the fuck? "I whispered shutting the book in complete confusion.

Not a word in this was understandable.

I ran my hand through my long hair, opening it again. Translating this will be hard, hence I've never actually had to do such a thing for another quote, it's usually understood by the heart.

This book now is my superstition, whether it's good or not, it's fate to me.

It's just like seeking a vision.

But these words were completely unknown. Just like having an exotic dream and waking up weirded out by it.

What do I do with life, now?

A knock woke me from my little trance, grabbing my attention.

"Hey, Hailes," Ryland chirped sitting by me. I smiled at him, placing the book on Ross's commode, "How was your college interview yesterday? "

'Real good, I got to answer almost every question, it was simply satisfying. " I answered making him nod softly, a smile clear on his face.

"When are you getting the results? "

"Tomorrow. I received an email from the college itself, and it says that it's on the 30thst of March," I said, getting even more excited. The interview yesterday went more than just well. Especially since Ross had my company, and as usual he was more supportive than ever.

He might have given me a whole steamy make out session just to calm my nerves before I got in.

I really do have the best boyfriend.

"Do you wanna hang out with me Delly and Rocky and Char? We're going out to the mall," he asked getting up as I nodded.

"ill be ready in twenty. "

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

"Morning, " Jason grunted getting down the stairs, with Rose by his side yawning, "what's for breakfast? I'm hungry. "

I rolled my eyes smirking, placing the waffles on the plate, "you always are."

"Ha ha," he replied, sarcasm clear in his tone.

"Bitchy much, Jase?" I said sitting opposite Rose.

"He had a nightmare, " she replied, rubbing his bicep softly, as he kissed her forehead.

"You don't look so fine, are you alright, Hailes? " Rose frowned looking at my nervous state.

"The college interview results come today by mail. I'm not so ready for a break down."

Just then the mail bell rang through my ears, making me jump off the table, sprinting to the door.

My eyes layed on the closed mail box, adrenaline rushing through me.

I was a shaking mess.

I opened it slowly, revealing the one and only envelope that had me on my nerves for a whole week.

I opened it slowly, blood rushing through me as I read the containment.
My mind couldn't function the moment I saw it. I was out of focus, and my eyes watered.

"Jase," I yelled jumping on my spot, " Jason, come here real quick. "

Moments later he came in view, making me run to him, jumping to wrap my legs around his waist, " I got in, jase. I got in the college, " I said making his eyes go wide. "For real?" He smiled.

I quickly nodded, making him plaster kisses on my cheek, taking the envelope from me.

"Holy shit," he chuckled right as Rose came, joining our little party.

We were jumping maniacs.

"You got in?" She smiled making me nod. She hugged my neck, rubbing my back softly. "I'm so happy for you."

"You never told me you were going to London."

I turned to Jason, frowning slightly at what he said, "what are you talking about? "

He just handed me the paper, running a hand through his hair.

My eyes went through the paper, my smile fading by every line.

Charlotte and I are going to London.

How am I going to tell him?
