"Good morning," Joe hummed, cuddling against me.
"G'morning," I yawned.
"How're you feeling?"
"Hm, alright," I nodded.
"Good, because I was thinking. It's the weekend, why don't we take the kids and go off for a few days?"
"Um, yeah," I nodded, "Where?"
"Well, you know the tree-house type place Zoe took Alfie for his birthday?"
"Yeah."
"I've been up a while and managed to pull a few strings and get us a few nights there."
"Really?" I smiled.
"Yeah, I figured we could go up there. We could all do with a bit of relaxation and clear our heads," Joe said, giving me a small kiss.
"When do we leave?"
"Whenever we've finished packing," Joe shrugged, giving me another kiss.
"Daddy!" We heard through the baby monitor.
"'Elle's awake," Joe huffed, smiling and getting up to get her.
"Wait," I said, "I'm sorry for last night."
"Minx, don't worry about it," He smiled.
As he left to get Noelle, I leaned over to check my phone, no new messages, thank goodness.
"Mummy!" Noelle giggled as she ran back in the room and Joe followed carrying a sleepy Noah.
"Hi baby," I smiled, getting up and wrapping a small robe around me, before going and washing my face and brushing my teeth.
Noelle followed me into the bathroom and tried playing with the bottles again while I brushed my teeth.
"Noelle," I warned.
"No," She pouted, sitting down on the rug by the bathtub.
"Thank you," I smiled, picking her up and carrying her back to the bed with Joe and Noah.
"Do you want to start packing?" Joe suggested.
"Yeah, I'll put the kids' stuff in a bag," I nodded.
"I'll help you," Joe nodded, picking up Noah and carrying him into his room as I grabbed the bag from a closet.
Joe and I packed clothes for the kids and packed their baby bag at the same time with some of their favourite toys and nappies, dummies, and blankies. We then moved on and packed our stuff.
"Joe!" I laughed as he put some condoms in his bag.
"Would you rather me not pack any?" He laughed.
"Alright," I laughed, "You have a point."
"Mummy!" Noelle fussed, wanting attention.
"I'm right here," I said, picking her up and carrying her as I continued packing.
Joe started taking our bags and putting them in the boot of the car while I gathered some snacks and whatever else we would want to take. Such as, Joe's vlogging camera, cords, and chargers.
"Going away? See you later." From: Unknown.
"Joe," I said as he came back in the flat.
"Hm, baby?" He asked.
"Nevermind," I shook my head, just deleting the message again.
"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah!" Noelle cheered, jumping up and down.
"Ready, Noah?" Joe smiled, making Noah babble and giggle.
We buckled the kids up in the car and I kept looking around, trying to see if anyone was lurking around to have sent me the text message. The road looked normal and there weren't any unusual cars around.
"I'll make sure the door's locked," Joe said, running back inside.
I nodded as he gave me a quick kiss. I got in the car, closing the door and looking at my phone.
"Mummy! Look!" Noelle giggled, pointing at the front window.
I freaked out for a second, getting paranoid again. But it was just Joe coming back to the car.
"It's Daddy," I smiled weakly.
"Yeah!" She giggled, squealing loudly.
"Shh, baby," I laughed lightly.
As Joe got back in the car, his phone started ringing and he answered it to talk to Caspar.
"Hey mate, you're on speaker," Joe said as he answered the phone and put it in his lap as he started driving.
"Okay, cool. Who's listening?"
"Just Minx and the kids," Joe said.
"Hi Minxie!" Caspar said through the phone.
"Hello!" I smiled.
"Hi Noelle and Noah!" Caspar laughed.
"It's Uncle Caspar on the phone," I said to the kids, Noah of course not understanding what was going on, "Say hello."
"Hi!" Noelle yelled.
"Anyway, so why'd you call?" Joe asked.
"Just wanted to know what you are doing this weekend."
"We're actually driving up the that place Zoe took Alfie for his birthday right now for a few days."
"That's awesome! I was just going to offer if you wanted to go out clubbing tonight, but as you are busy."
"Sorry," Joe apologised.
"Don't worry about it," Caspar said, "I'll talk to you later, yeah?"
"Yeah, no problem. Bye," Joe said, hanging up the phone.
Joe hung up his phone, and put it in the middle console.
"I love you," I said quietly.
"I love you too," Joe grinned, focusing on the road.
Noelle and Noah both fell asleep on the drive there. Once arriving, Joe and I carried in Noelle and Noah and laid them in the large cot they had provided for us, as they are still asleep.
"Stay here with them and I'll go get the bags," Joe said as he ran back to get our bags.
I looked around, this place is so adorable and quirky.
"Did you watch Alfie's or Zoe's vlog about this place?" Joe asked as he put our bags on our bed.
"No," I shook my head, "I gave them a thumbs-up, but didn't watch," I giggled.
"I do the same, shh," He laughed, "But, no, I watched those ones and it's so cool here."
"It seems so," I nodded.
"Come here," He smiled, pulling me into a hug.
"Mm, I love you," I hummed.
"I love you too. But, I think we should get in that hot tub before the kids wake up," He smirked.
"S.hit, I forgot a swimsuit," I groaned.
"Go skinny-dipping, or wear a bra and knickers," He shrugged.
"Okay," I nodded, as he went to warm up the hot tub.
I put on a sports bra and had to wear a thong, as it's the only type of underwear I had brought with me.
"Aw, no skinny-dipping?" Joe teased.
"No, not outside," I laughed.
"No one can see you!"
"No," I shook my head.
"Okay, come on," He said as he changed into his swim shorts.
"Did you bring the baby monitor?" I asked.
"Oh yeah! I'll go put it on," He nodded, running and setting it up.
I lowered myself into the warm water as Joe came and sat next to me.
I moved over and sat on Joe's lap.
"Baby," Joe hummed, kissing the side of my neck.
I let out a small moan and moved so we were kissing.
"Look at us, we've barely been here five minutes!" I giggled.
"Hm, well, it seems as if we deserve this together," He smiled, giving me another kiss.
