So I have finally told Zach that I can see ghosts, I'm glad I got that out of the way. I thought to myself.
I'm currently sitting on my bed finishing off some homework, when suddenly my dad appears....
I decided to talk to him.
Dad what are you doing here?
I'm here because I miss you hunny.
I miss you too daddy. Why did you have to go? You didn't deserve this.
Yeah hunny I know, but it was a stupid drunk driver.
He should have been the one to pay, not you....
Yes, I agree with you 100%.
He comes and sits on my bed next to me.
But I need to tell you something important Hun.
What is it dad?
You need to be mindful of your very rare ability because there are people searching for people with abilities like yours because they think that no one should talk to ghosts, so they are out there and are killing people with powers like yours and anyone that stands in their way.
Daddy, I'm scared, I didn't even want this ability, and I don't want to die, I haven't even done anything to them and neither have the people with the same ability as me!!
I start crying, and my dad puts his hand on my shoulder.
Baby, I have to go now, I can hear your mum, quick wipe away your tears, and remember I'll always be here if you want to talk to me.
Okay bye dad, I love you.
I love you too baby girl. Bye
And with that my dad disappeared. My mum knocked on the door and opened it slowly. I quickly wiped away any evidence of my tears.
"You've been talking to your dad again haven't you Hun?" She asked me.
"Yes, I have and he told me that there are people out there that want to kill me and anyone with the same ability as me." I blurt out suddenly.
My mums walks over to me and sits down on the bed next to me and engulfs me in a massive bear hug. I cry into her shoulder and I suddenly remove my face from her shoulder realising that her shoulder was saturated in my tears. I look at her with a sad smile and she returns it. We stay like that for a while until mum says that tea is ready.
I walk downstairs and sit down at the table and immediately I can pick what she made. "You made carbonara!" I say happily. "Yes, just for you, I knew you were feeling down so I made your favourite!" She replies with.
"Thanks mum you are the greatest ever!!" I yell at her and I jump in her arms. She laughed. "Come on let's eat up, it will go cold soon!" She says
After dinner I help clean the table. I wash and dry the dishes. Afterwards my mum comes into the room and asks me if I wanted to watch a movie. I said yes please. She chose the movie and I got the snacks and drinks ready. I walk into the theatre room and find out that mum has picked X-Files. I love the watching the episodes.
After the movie finishes it is 11:40. I let out a yawn. "Okay sweetie you can go to bed now if you want or you can stay up its your choice, but I can tell you that I'm going straight to bed." She says. "Yeah I think I might doze off as well, thanks for tea and the movie mum." I say.
"Yeah no worries. Okay goodnight, I love you." She says.
"Love you too, night mum." I reply.
I walk upstairs and brush my teeth, I then change into my pyjamas and jump into bed. I check my phone for notices and there are no text messages or missed calls. I put my phone to sleep then return it to the place on my bedside table. I thought about what dad said, and before I know it I'm in a dreamless sleep.
