Chapter 8
True to my word im uploading... however it would be REALLY healpful anyone could give me ANY feedback on how the story is going even if you say its bad?!
"Have you set the alarm?" Ast asked me as she turned the light out
"Yessss" I actually hadn't... But I'd rather not get up and turn it on.
"Lair, we have to be ready by 9" she told me getting up again and putting the alarm on "I'm setting it for quarter to 8, okay" she didn't really ask me it was more like telling me...
"Whatever" I snuggled down into my covers
"What are you wearing?" She asked curiously
"Whatever I decide tomorrow" I mumbled feeling sleep coming over me
"You should dress up nicely" she told me
"Why?" I groaned, I just wanted to sleep
"Well two reasons... The first because you could get scouted and second..." She hesitated "I bet Jamie would appreciate it!" She said with a small giggle
"Whatever, good night Ast" I ended the convosation... I didn't want to think about Jamie. I had successfully dodged him the whole of today and I didn't want to see him anytime soon! Though I guess tomorrow I won't be able to avoid him... Stupid damn trip!
"You are seriously not wearing that?" Astrid looked me up and down and shook her head "I'm not allowing it, get undressed" she demanded as she rummaged in my wardrobe and then in the draws. I thought my outfit looked fine? Skinny overly ripped jeans and a plain grey t shirt and my leather jacket with black high top converse?
She pulled out a bright colored dress... Okay it wasn't really bright but it was white... I don't wear white. "Yeah I think not" I said giving her a look that hopefully said no
"Why is it packed if it’s not to be worn?" She asked accusingly
"I don't know? It looks like something Scarlett would wear maybe it got mixed up?" I suggested she just raised an eyebrow but could clearly see I wasn't changing my mind; she went back to looking through my clothes.
"This?" She held up my high wasted dark blue shorts ... They have been flared trousers but I cut them and they look better as shorts even though they are pretty farad were I cut them. I nodded and caught them as she chucked them over to me. "Oh and I have the perfect top!" She said running to her draws pulling out a black crop top... Eww crop tops! But then she turned it round and on the front was the guns 'n' roses sign and studded around the neck. I could try it on! I pulled the top down and it didn't really look like I was showing my belly off which was fine. "Put your dm's on with it, you won't need your jacket it’s boiling" she told me as she fixed her hair in the mirror
"Thanks" I told her gratefully
"Now hurry up with your hair and makeup! We CANNOT be late" she told me as she ran around shoving stuff in her bag
"Sure, sure" I said positioning myself in the mirror.
"I'm glad you could join us ladies!" Mr Jones told me and Astrid as we turned up ten minutes late
"Our pleasure" I gave him a cheeky smile and took a seat on the desk, swinging my legs.
"Well as I was saying, you all must be on your best behavior today as you will be representing the school." He told us as we all looked bored "half way through the day you will be split up into small groups to complete some work. Also there will be managers scouting so if you think that you want to try and get their attention with your voices then go for it!" He said a little too enthusiastically... "The coach should be arriving" he looked at his watch "about now, meet outside by the foyer to board the coach" he took out some papers from his draw and started to put them in his bag, I grabbed Astrid and hurried her to where the coach is waiting
"Why so fast?" She whined to me
"Because I want a back seat" I said in a duh tone
We got to where the coach was waiting and I went to get on "sorry pretty girl, gotta wait for the teacher" the driver told, I just nodded my head and stood by the door waiting for Mr Jones, he finally come out of the door
"Why didn't you get on the bus?" He accused me and I scoffed and just climbed onto the bus giving the driver daggers.
I successfully got the back seat, much to Morgan and her barbies annoyance.
Then Jamie got on... And he did look hot! His dark brown hair was messy and nearly fell in his eyes he was wearing dark skinny jeans with a checkered hoodie and a white top underneath and on his feet he had plain white converse. His brown eye search for something as they scanned the bus and suddenly they landed on me. He made his way up the bus I glanced next to me, there were still 3 seats to fill in the back row and the seats in front of me were empty. I could feel the panic build up in me. I didn't want to see him! At all!
"Jaaamieeeee, sit with me" a whiny voice came from a few seats in front of me, wow maybe I do like Morgan...
A couple of people pushed past Jamie and took the seats in front of me; hopefully a few more can take the back seat!
"Mr Andreous please take a sit, it’s only you we are waiting for" Mr Jones shouted from the front of the bus, great. Jamie made his way up the bus and I kept my head down, think fast...
"Ast, give me your iPod!" I say taking it out her bag before her answer
"Sure" she rolled her eyes. I plug the earphones in and close my eyes leaning against Astrid, turning up the volume I was in my own world.
"Don't you dare wake her" I heard Astrid muffled voice as I still had headphones on... Clearly two door's album had finished.
"I need to talk with her" Jamie whined next to Astrid
"Well she clearly doesn't want to talk to you. You was just some fun, get over it Jamie. Ava. Doesn't. Want. You." She growled at him. Woo go Astrid!
"You don't even know the situation" J shot back at her
"Enough to know you’re a jerk and she doesn't like you" she replied sweetly, Jamie didn't bother to reply to her.
"WERE HEREEEE" sung Mr Jones from the front of the bus, Ast poked me
"Ava" poke "Ava, psssst. Get up" then I felt heavy hands shake me
"Ava, wake up" Jamie said softly
"Jamie, get off her" I opened my eyes to see Astrid glaring at him, he looked at me then I looked away and I heard him walk off down the bus. I got up silently waiting for Astrid to move "you know, we only have one week left here. Maybe you could speak to him and make a deal or something?" Astrid told me
"Whatever" I climbed past her because she wasn't moving
"You know I'm right" she sing songed behind me
"Right about what Ms Walkers? Hopefully it’s about the task I just described?" The teacher glared at her, she looked at the floor
"Yeah it was actually so if you don't mind we would like to get on" I told Mr Jones rudely with a fake smile, Astrid might annoy me but I owe her for telling J to go away!
"Very well, you are both in group 2 head over to that tree" he told us as he started to tell everyone else their groups, me and Ast went and sat under the giant oak.
"Thanks" she said shyly
"It’s what friends are for" I smiled at her, I like Astrid. I don't normally make girl friends so I'm glad I have. A shadow comes over us and I glance up to see Morgan, Barbie 1, some shy girl who can sing very well, Jonesy? I didn't even know he went to the school?! And yeah you guessed - Jamie. This is going to be such a fun day...

"So what are we doing?" Astrid spoke up in the awkward silence
"Didn't you say you heard what we are doing?" J said sarcastically
"Keria, do you know?" Astrid asked the shy girl
"Yeah, we have to walk around the museum and fill out this booklet" she said quietly waving the booklet, I groan
"Where at a museum!?" I didn't even know, I would have pulled a sickie!
"Is she being serious?" Morgan asked but no one listened to her. Astrid laughed
"We have been discussing this in class for the past 3 days and you didn't know?" She said laughing more; I just stick out my tongue
"Whatever, let's get this over with" I slung my arm around Keria "you been here before?" She nodded "well then I guess you’re my new best friend" I joke with her.
Turns out Keria is actually really easy to get along with once she gets over her shyness! Me, her and Ast were mucking around and laughing at nearly everything! The museum was about Music, everything and everyone to do with music was in this large ugly place.
"Oh what is that?" I said pointing to a strange horn shaped thing in a glass box, I heard laughing behind me and saw J and Jonesy laughing at me "what is so funny?" I glare at them
"You’re such a great singer yet you know nothing about music!" Jonesy told me
"Whatever, oooo look a recording room!" I turned around to see where Astrid and Keria were, they weren’t there.
"You wanna go in?" Jamie asked me
"No..." I lied, I soooooooo wanted to go in and see what happens!
"Let's go! Jonesy, go find the others and meet us there" clearly he wanted me and him to be on our own, Jonesy gave him a mock salute and walked away, J put his arm over my shoulder and steered me into the room
"Welcome to the recording studio, I'm Dave" a random guy said as we walked into the room
"Jamie and Ava" J introduced up to Dave
"You guys sing?" He asked curiously
"Yes" "No" Jamie and I said at the same time, Dave raised an eyebrow
"She is an amazing singer" J said pushing me forward to Dave
"Fancy a little go in the recording room?" OHMYGOD! HOW EXCITING!! IV WANTED TO DO THIS FOR AGES!!!!!
"Yeah, sure" I play it cool but I'm jumping up and down inside my head
"Well you can both do a song together?" The man raises his eyebrow "but it’s more the girl singing more than the boy so don't worry" he told J
"Oh I'm not" J smirked and headed towards the door that lead to the room behind the glass, I followed "smooth, playing it cool Avie, your totally over excited about this" his smirk got wider if that was even possible! I stared blankly at him
"Am not" I mumbled, taking my place behind the mic
"Put the headphones on guys" Jamie took his place next to me and did as he was told, I followed suit looking down at the paper in front of me with Rhianna's song 'what's my name?' I started laughing, J looked at me strange
"You have to rap" I burst out laughing again
"Avie, my rapping skills are sooo sick" J winks at me, I roll my eyes at him
"Give me a thumbs up when you’re ready!" Dave told us "oh and if you don't like the song... Too bad because I'm too lazy to change it!" He waved his hand around his head, I laughed.
"Ready?" J asked me, I nodded and gave Dave the thumbs up and I heard the song start to play and I start
"Oh na na what's my name..." Then its J's turn to be Drake...
"I heard you good with them soft lips, yeah it no word of mouth" Jamie started rapping and I tried my best not laugh! He wasn't that bad... But it was still funny! He looked at me as he sung "say my name wear it out,
It’s getting hot, crack a window open air it out," okay yeah he is good at rapping... How annoying!
"Soon as you go the text I write is gon say"
Oh this is my cue!

I start moving my hips to the music and I hear J groan quietly... Oh this could be fun! I continue moving my hips singing the chorus "Hey boy I really wanna see if you can go downtown with a girl like me..." Now getting sooo into it that I add hand movements and move my hips more grinding to the beat getting nearer the end of the song I open my ears and look straight Jamie who is staring at me open mouth and everything I wink and smile at him

mindddddd" I sing still looking at him and moving my hips, he actually looks like his in pain, so much fun!!
"Oh na na what's my name?" I end the song and smile at Dave who is also staring mouth opened at me, gee what can I say I have that affect on guys! I laugh in my mind at this thought, just kidding to myself! The rest of the group was there too, Morgan was glaring at me but Astrid and Keria were smiling encouragingly at me
"Wow! That was A-Maze-ing!" Dave said as he spoke through the mic to us and I just smiled and started to walk to the door
"Coming J?" I asked as he hadn't moved from his stand
"Umm... Yeah just a minute..." He turned his back to me, seriously all I did was sing!? "That was so hot Avie! But don't do it again... Unless were alone!" He winked at me as he slapped my bum on the way out, how dare he!
"Oh I'm so getting you back for that!!!!" I screamed at him as he ran out to the rest of them
"Ava! I haven't even got words to describe how good that was!" Dave came bounding up to me
"Umm thanks..." I loved singing but hated how everyone treated me after I sung? I didn't want to be a singer?
"Want to record another?" He asked me, ohhh it was so fun! But I don't to show off... Clearly my face looked torn because J stepped forward
"You wouldn't be showing off Avie, we like your singing" he smiled at me
"Yeah I'm totally jumping on the Ava fan bus" Astrid told me
"Me too!" Keria agreed
"And me!" Barbie 1 said moving next to Astrid and Keria earning her a dirty look from Morgan
"Fine... Do you have any Jessie J?" I asked him, she was my favorite to sing at the moment!
"Of course anything for you!" He started clicking on his computer as I went back into the room behind the screen and took a few deep breaths.
This is JUST for fun I told myself as the track began to play.
