Aleksei POV
Logan actions towards me make me terribly confuse. Like right now he wouldn't let go of my hand, I tried to pry it off many times but he only tightened it. I told him to let go but, he said I might be gone again. He only let go my hand when I need to answer my phone when my sister Raven calls me or my family. Sometimes he looks at me for like a couple of seconds, and when I look back at him; he would turned his head to different direction and the tip of his ears are starting to get red. When I told him I need to buy bottled water he immediately bought it for me, and he did not accept my payment for my water. What shocked me most was when he wiped my mouth again through his thumb after I drank my water or pushed back my curly hair behind my ears. Our three companions look at him strangely, like he suddenly has two heads. Who wouldn't be shock when the person you bullied before suddenly acted like that and became your friend? Are we friends? I guess so.
Another thing that's making me confuse was, when he touch me or smile at me. My stomach is making funny feeling, I thought I just wanted to go to the toilet but when I went to it, I didn't you know. Then my heart would suddenly make a strong thump. When we went back to Logan's pack, I'll ask daddy Fern about this.
I look around and watch people passing by, some of them are in a hurry, and some of them are with their friends or family. One of my wish before was to go to this place with my family or friends. I wanted to know what it feels like when you go with them, what it feels like when you shop together, laugh together when you found something funny. I thought my wish would never be happen...
"-leksei, Aleksei... hey are you okay, love?" Logan asked while waving his hand in front of me.
I startle and blink at him. "Yes, I'm okay. I'm sorry am just thinking about something." I said to him as I turned my head again to the people passing and turned back to him again. "Did you say something? I'm sorry; I didn't mean to space out on you." I added.
"Nah its okay, it's not even important any—" My ringing phone interrupt what he was saying. "Go answer it maybe it's your sister again." He said as he rolled his eyes and sigh.
"Okay, let go my hand first, please." I requested while pulling away my hand from his. Yeah, even we're seated right now he still holds my hand.
"Oh yes of course." He said kind a disappointed and hesitantly? "I need to go to the restroom, please stay here, okay?" I nod at him as a response while taking my phone on my pants.
"Don't let him out of your sight." I heard Logan instructed to his three friends.
"Babe, are you okay? What took you so long to answer your phone? Does Logan protecting you so well? Is treating you good right now—?" Raven fired out question once I answered my phone.
"I'm okay Ray; don't worry about me I can protect myself." I said making her at ease. "Are you guys done shopping?"
"Eh, not yet we're still looking for the missing parts of these gadgets. Soo, you need to wait for another half an hour."
"Okay no problem, I'll just wait for you guys then or if you want I'll go with to find these parts."
"No, no, no just stay where you are right now. I don't want you get tired. Where are you anyway?"
"I'm currently in the first floor, sitting on a bench. Ray, can I buy candies? I promise, I would not eat them right now and I would not buy a lot, please?" I plead and pout even if she can't see me right now.
"Err... hmm... let me talk to Logan."
"He's not here, he went to the restroom."
"Tsk okay; pass your phone to Olson."
"Okay wait a second." I say to her and look at three persons at my side. "Hmm my sister, wanted to talk Olson." I say shyly to the three who is looking at me intently and chuckled when one of them muttered something.
"Kid, its Olsen not Olson." He said to me as he stands up and gesturing me to hand my phone to him.
"I'm sorry."
"It's alright kid." He ruffled my curly hair while I pout and grumble to myself that I'm not a kid, I'm a man.
"It's me Olsen." He said to my sister to the phone. Olsen and my brothers have the same height, same with the two person who are still looking at me right now. But Olsen is more muscular than to these two; hmm I'll ask him later what kind of food he eat. If he only eat vegetables never mind, but he's a wolf so I guess he also eat meat.
Before I can tell if the person is a wolf or not, but because Eros is now gone, I can't anymore.
"Okay... okay." Olsen said while pacing back and forth in front of me while talking miles to my sister. "It's Olsen... Olson is very different... whatever." He rolled his eyes and hand my phone to me again. "She's going to say something." And he mumbled girls are really scary when he returns to his chair.
"Hello"
"Babe, I'm allowing you now to buy your candies. But don't eat them right away okay?"
"Okay, I will." I replied happily.
"Good, be careful okay? Don't go anywhere without Olson or the three of them."
"Okay; I promise. Be careful too."
"I will babe, I'll call you when we're done here, love you babe, bye."
"Okay bye, I love you too." I immediately stand up once I finished my conversation to Raven. And I look at the three persons who are looking back at me by the way and they immediately stand up too. "Let's go the candy store." I say with a smile to them.
"Err... but Logan is still not here." Olsen said while rubbing his nape.
"You can call him and tell him to meet us to the candy store." I said.
"But—"
"Please." I pout and use my puppy dog eye stare. Please make it work...
"Olsen, let's go this kid was right, we can call Logan once we are in that store." Heh... it works, but I'm not a kid though.
"But—" Oh no, it didn't work out to him.
"Please" I say again but this time I intensify my puppy dog eyes stare to him.
"Alright, alright, just don't that again." Olsen said defeatedly. Ha! No one can resist that, except my fathers, Cameron and Grey.
"Yes!" I jump victoriously, while the two just snickered to Olsen. "Let's go then."
"Fine" He said to me while rolling his eyes and muttered kids.
"I'm not kid, you always say that." I say to him as we starts to walk to the candy store.
"Kid, you are kid." He said while giving me a deadpan.
"I'm a man." I counter.
"Pfft, you're too small for a man, kid. What's your height, anyway? 4'9?"
"Hey, I'm not 4'9! I'm 5...7" I lied to him and giving me another deadpan; he knows I'm lying. "Fine, I'm 5'5. Are you happy now?" I huff and cross my arms to my chest while I heard them chuckling.
"Very kid, where is that store anyway?" He asked.
"To the 2nd floor."
"Okay, let's go to the 2nd floor then."
As we walk I asked them about their selves. They told that they are new members of Silvernight pack; there previous pack was ruined because of rogues' attack. And the ever kindly Alpha Robert opened his pack for them. My two other companion's names are Xenon and Henry; Olsen and Xenon already have mates, they met their mate to their previous pack. While Henry still looking for his, he said he was very excited to meet whoever the goddess chosen for him. All in all they are cool, nice and kind.
"What about you?" Xenon asked. What about me? He already rejected me and I already accepted it long time ago.
"Are you crazy? He is too young to have mate. He is only what... 14?" Olsen incredulously said to Xenon.
"Hey! I'm already 17!" I said to them, while their eyes went wide open.
"You're... 17?!" The three said simultaneously in disbelieving voice.
"Yes." I proudly said as I puff my chest.
"But you're so... tiny to be 17." Henry said while pointing at me up and down.
"Hey, that's so mean, I'm not tiny." I protested.
"Yeah that's mean; he's small Henry not tiny." Olsen tease and the two of our companion chuckles while me I harrumph at them.
"Is that the candy store you wanted to go?" Henry pointed out the blue and pink signage of the store.
"Yes it is." I said and hurriedly walk.
"Go ahead, I'll call Logan now." Henry says while taking out his phone.
"Okay."
And we left Henry outside the store and I pick out a small basket for my candies. I grab a packs gummy bears, four containers candy floss, chocolates bars, hard candy, lollipops. I brows knitted together when I realize my basket was not getting heavier. I look down to it and saw that it was only five items on it; I lifted my head to see Olsen putting back the candies that I put on my basket.
"Hey... why are you putting it back?" I whine.
"Your sister told me that I would not allow you to buy a lot of candies. So, I'm putting the others back." Olsen reasons out. "You can only choose five items here and if I were you, choose wisely, kid."
"That's so hard; I like everything that they sell here." I mumbled and pout as I look around again. I smile broadly when I saw a large jar of gummy bears and same with the others. Five items it is.
"Hey kid, what do you think are doing?" Olsen asked while I excitedly put back the candies that I put on my basket recently.
"I'm putting them back, you said five items only and I need to choose wisely. So that's what I'm going to do and I finally chose the candies that I like."
'Okay fine, go get those candies. I'll wait for you at the counter."
"Okay." I replied happily and went to the section of large jars of candies and I immediately put them on my basket. Heh! These candies will surely last for a month if my family won't confiscate these. Of course, I won't eat them at once. I don't want my brothers and sister to get tired because of me again, so I need to restrain myself.
"What's taking you so long? Are you d— Jesus Christ! What are those?" Olsen asked with a shocking voice and wide eyes while pointing my basket on the ground.
"Candies." I say with a smile. "And those are the five items that I chose wisely." I added smartly.
"Your sister would surely going to kill me." He groaned and massaging his temple
"She wouldn't do that." I say and he rolled his eyes to me. Why everyone's are afraid to her?
I picked up my basket and walk towards the counter, but of course when Logan saw me. He immediately took my hand and the basket that I'm holding. He told me that he was calling me, which of course I didn't notice because I was busy choosing my candies and his number was not save in my contact list, so it was not in a vibrate mode. So I just told him that I didn't notice it, as I was saying those words to him; he looks like kind of hurt? I wanted to ask him what made him upset, but I stop myself. If I asked him, I have this feeling that it would make him upset more, so no.
"Oh look who we have here, I didn't saw you entered my store, welcome back Aleksei." Theo beam at me and winked. At the corner of my eyes I notice Logan glaring at Theo and he slightly tighten his hold to my hand.
"Hello Theo" I say with a smile and I heard Logan growls, I look at him and tilt my head in a question. But he only shakes his head and turned his head to the right side, looking pissed?
"You didn't call me." Theo pouts while scanning the candies. Hmm, I never called him because daddy Maxx saw his number on my pocket and he asked me who own that number, when I explain it to him; he accidentally ripped it into piece.
"I'm sorry for that; I've been very busy for these past couple of days." I lied and give my card immediately to him; I don't want to owe Logan's money again, which of course he frowned at me. What's wrong paying the things that I buy? My family let me pay.
"Oh is that so, just in case I'll write my number again to your receipt, okay." Theo says while handing my card back to me. "Here are your candies." Logan takes them, no, he snatched them aggressively from him. Which Theo raise his one eyebrow to him and giving an amuse stare, while Logan glares at him. What's happening?
"Lastly, your receipt." Theo said once he finished writing his number, but then again Logan snatch it using our intertwine hands. "Is he one of your brothers?"
"No he is not." I said to him and shaking my head.
"Who is he to you then?" Theo asked in confusion and I saw Logan smirked at him.
"I'm his—" "Friend" Logan and I said together.
This time it was Theo who smirked at Logan and Logan looks sour? Perhaps I should say acquaintance.
"Let's go" Logan immediately said and hurriedly dragged me out to the store.
"Bye Aleksei!" Theo called out while I turned my body to him and start waving my free hand to him. "Call me." He added.
"As if." Logan's bitterly muttered.
What's wrong with him? Did Theo said something bad about him or even looked at him in a bad way? And he is holding my hand very tight; he is cutting my blood circulation and my hand is starting to get numb.
"Logan... Logan!" I called as I pulling away my hand to his.
"What?!" He snapped out and glaring at me, which made me flinched at him. "Shi- I-I'm sorry; I didn't mean to snap at you."
I nod to him and point my hand to his.
"Fuck." He muttered as he looks around and dragged me down to the vacant bench. "I-I'm very sorry, love." He apologizes over and over again while massaging my hand.
I look at our three companions but they are not looking at us, they are looking in different direction. I admit; I got scared to Logan's action, but when he repeatedly say sorry, on how he looks sincerely to his apologies, my fear on him fades way immediately.
"Aleksei—"
"It's okay, apology accepted." I said and giving him a reassuring smile.
"Thank you, love. I promise I won't do that again." He said to me while rubbing his thumb on my palm. "Can I ask you a question?" He softly asked while he started massaging my finger tips.
"What it is?" I say while looking at him in the eyes.
"Are you... are you really going to text that guy?" Logan asked and bowed his head. Why he look suddenly vulnerable? Where is the Logan that I know before? Was there something happened to him before? Where is the arrogant Logan and bossy that I knew?
"Sure why not." I say nodding to myself; while he suddenly snaps his head up to me and pursed his lips. His eyes are... sad. Err... why do I have the feeling it was because of me? "But daddy Maxx accidentally ripped Theo's number, so I didn't have a chance to text or call him." I pout as I try to pry away my hand to his, but he only intertwine them again and rest them to his thigh and gave me a smile... a genuinely smile. Whenever he smiles to me that way, my heart always make a big thump, I don't know why but it always does. Is something wrong with me? "Oh! Before I forgot, can I have the receipt, please?" I asked while I make a hand gesture to hand it over to me.
He knitted his brows together and looked up the ceiling. "I don't have it." He said.
"Huh? Where it is?"
"Hmm, I threw it." He said while still looking up and then looks at his left side.
"But why?" That's my receipt, though.
"Because."
"Because?" I asked as I tilted my head to him, even he is not looking at me.
"Just because." Huh?
Hmm, if he threw it already there's nothing we can't do about it. I just sigh and look again the passersby.
I wonder why or how my family agreed to be Logan one of our companions. My family is absolutely against him. They don't even want me to get near or even talk to him, especially Cameron.
"Hey Logan..." I call to get his attention, which I immediately gain.
"Hmm?"
"I'm just wondering, how did my family agreed to be our..."
"Bodyguard?" He filled in.
"Bodyguard?" I say in confusion. "I would say companion, though."
"But I'm your bodyguard." He looked down on me with a smile. "I volunteer myself to be your bodyguard for few days."
"Why? But I can protect myself."
"I know, I just want to."
"Huh?"
"I volunteer because... I wanted to spend time with you. So I could talk to you... near with you." He explain while scratching his cheek; the tip of his ears starting to get red again.
"Talk to me? Near with me? Why?" I asked as I blink my eyes to him.
"Because..."
Hmm, this is the first time I notice the color of his eyes. I tilted my head slightly to see them properly; but they are not just color blue. Hmm, how should I describe it?
"W-what, w-hat... are you doing?" Logan stuttered as he covered his mouth using the back of his hand; his cheeks are color red again. And I realize that I lean closer to him.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to lean closer to you. I'm just assessing the color of your eyes. This is the first time I see them closely." I explain to him and turned back to my position. While he removed his hand from his mouth and put it to his chest and gripped his shirt.
"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly as I try to touch his forehead, but he move away.
"Y-yes, I'm okay." He said as I heard him swallow and turned his head to his left side again.
"You know, I'm glad that we can talk like this. There's a little bit awkwardness, but I'm still glad. I told Cameron that I wanted to be your friend again."
"I wanted to be your friend again, too." He said hurriedly same as he turned his head to me. "But... not just only your friend, I wanted you to be m—"
Ring! My phone vibrate and ringing loudly to my pocket.
While I'm fishing out my phone, I think; I heard Logan growl and muttered something that I didn't understand.
Raven my caller I.D says. And Logan is glaring my phone, I titled my head asking if he has a problem, but he only shakes his head. I shrugged at him and answer my phone.
"Babe, we're done finally." She said happily. "Where are you? Are you also done buying your candies?"
"Yes, we are currently at the 2nd floor." I say with smile. "Where are you, guys?"
"Hmm, we are at the 1st floor near to your favorite bakeshop"
"Okay, we'll meet you there."
"Okay, see yah babe."
"Okay." I said to her as I stand up and tugged Logan hand. "Let's go, let's meet them at the bakeshop."
"Okay." He said hesitantly while he stands up and take a deep sighed.
"Let's use the elevator." I point.
"It's under maintenance." He said, who can he tell? Oh because he is a wolf.
"Hmm, let's use the escalator then." I say as I tugged his hand again.
"Okay." Logan said with a smile as he squeezed my hand lightly, which I squeeze it back and looked up at him with a smile too. I'm getting use holding his hand.
"Under maintenance." I read the signage.
"Thank goddess." Logan mumbled
"Huh?"
"W-what I mean is, let's use the staircase." He said as he dragged me where the staircase was. We walk silently as we we're heading to the place that we wanted to be, which the bakeshop is. It's been a couple of minutes and we still didn't find the staircase! And I'm getting tired.
"Oh! There it is." I say excitedly and pulled Logan towards it.
"Hey be careful, we might fall." He warned.
"Hurry up Raven is waiting for us." I replied and I heard him grunt.
And after a couple of minutes we are finally in front of the bakeshop and I notice the staircase near to it.
"Ray!" I called and run to my sister once I saw her and let go Logan's hand.
"There you are; what took you so long?" She asked worriedly when I was in front of her.
"The elevator and the escalator are under maintenance, so we looked for the staircase." I explained
"But here is the staircase." She said while pointing staircase to our side.
"We didn't notice it." I said sheepishly. "Hello Chase." I greet the man who's struggling while carrying a lot of things on both of his hand.
"Hello curly sue." He greeted back and looks at persons behind my back. "Guys, can't you see? I need some help here, hello!" He said in duh tone. "Ursula over here doesn't want to help me. She's so evil! She even let the others to wait for us at the parking lot" He said to my sister who only batted her eyelashes to him.
"Why you didn't use trolley?" I asked and point the people using it.
"OH! O-oh, haha." He said while looking at the trolley, like it was made of gold. "Why I never thought about that." He muttered to himself.
Cough "Moron" Cough my sister said to him and turned her attention to me, While Chase makes a silly face to her and makes me chuckles.
"You look tired." She said with a frowned as she brush up my bangs not minding Chase's action.
"A little bit." Same with my aching feet and Raven make a disapproval sound.
"Chase, carry him." She command and demand.
"What?" Me, Chase and Logan answered simultaneously.
"No, I can still walk." I say.
"I can't carry him; I'm too tired to do it. Anyway, Henry and Xenon let's go the parking lot to put these things and wait for them." Chase the others immediately vanished in front of us.
"Olson." She called.
"My name is Ol-sen not Ol-son." Olsen said adamantly and then point at me while looking at her. "I can't either carry him; this kid tired us to the max and besides I'm carrying also what you guys bought." He is telling the truth, which I nod sheepishly to Raven.
"I'll carry him." Logan offered and walked in front me.
"NO." Raven said immediately.
"I'm tired and hungry; I wanted to go home immediately." He said to my sister and crouch down slightly. "Come on Aleksei, I'll carry you."
"Okay." I say without hesitation.
"But ba—"
"I'm not going to hurt him ever again." He said while I warp my hands around his shoulder, same with my legs to his waist when he stands up. "Let's go." And he started to walk.
"H-hey! Wait for me." Raven said walking faster to catch us and finally walk beside us. I gave her a smile to know that everything is okay, which she nods her head understandingly.
He said he wanted me to be his friend again and me as well. When everything was said and done. My life would definitely be OKAY. When my family and I will be going home, I would definitely have a big smile on my face.
"You smell good." I say to him was I sniff him again.
"T-thank you." He stuttered.
"You're welcome, Logan." I murmured as I saw his skin with goose bumps, maybe he is cold. So in returned of carrying me, what I did was; I wrap my arms around his shoulder and rest my hand near to his heart, which I felt it beating very fast.
"Are you okay?" I whispered, which I don't why I whisper.
"Y-yes."
"Are you still cold?"
It takes time before he answered me by "Not anymore." And he sighed.
"Thank you for carrying me."
"I'll do anything for you, love."
I hum my replied to him as I close my eyes.
I believe him when he said that he is never going to hurt me again. I saw it in his eyes...
