Claire's POV~
It's been minutes of people saying their goodbyes to Eva but there was still more to come
"CLAIRE!" a familiar voice called
I turned their way and saw Sammy jogging towards me
"Oh god. Why now? I dont have time for this..." i mumbled before standing up and running away from Sammy
"Im gonna miss Eva's funeral cause of this shit" i cussed
"Claire, WAIT!" he shouted and picked up his pace
I ran until i tripped over a rock.
"Urghhh. Really rock?" i groaned as i stood up and brushed myself off and while i was facing up i realised i was face to face with Sammy
"H-Hey..." he stutters
I ignore him and walk back to the funeral
After a few steps, he grabbed my arm and i flinched
"Sorry" he muttered and let go of my arm before nervously scratching the back of his neck
I faced him with a straight face
"What?" i hiss
"Im here to-"
"Apologise." i finish his sentence
"Yea. How did you know?" he asked
"MANY people has done things to me before. Many people..." i sigh
"Im sorry." he says sincerely
"Im gonna go back to the funeral of my bestfriend now.." i frowned at the thought of my bestfriend dying
"Im going too" he informs and i nod before speed walking back to my now gone unbiological sister
I glance at Eva and i felt my heart shattering into millions of pieces and stomped on then being burned
I sighed and sat down. Sammy taking a seat next to me.
Sammy's POV~
I stared at Claires face but it showed no emotion. Just... Blank.
And everytime i do something that involves raising my arm, at the corner of my eye i kept seeing her flinching.
She probably thinks im about to hit her and the thought of her being afraid of me just tears me apart
It was time for them to bury Eva.
I turned to Claire and she was fiddlings with her thumbs as she quietly sobs and tears sliding down her cheeks
"Hey, it will all get better soon" i soothed
"Nothing will be the same again" she whispered and stood up and watched her bestfriend since young get buried
It kills me to see her this sad and afraid.
It kills me even more that i caused a part of it.

The funeral was over and Claire hasn't said a word to anyone since the burial.
Daniel and i were following her walk to her house cause we know that she is capable of doing something stupid
Once we all got in she ran into her room and locked the door.
Damn she's quick.
Daniel and i exchanged worried faces and rushed to her door
We knocked as loud as we could and vigorously turned the knob
"CLAIRE! CLAIRE, OPEN UP PLEASE" i shouted
Nothing...
"PASS ME A BOBBY PIN!" Daniel demanded and i searched her house and finally found one
"Here." i hand him the bobby pin and he inserts it into the key hole and jiggles it around until the door unlocks
We quickly entered and searched the room.
She wasn't here.
We checked the bathroom, her closet and under her bed. Nothing.
But.... The window was open.
I rushed to it and looked down, she wasn't there.
I looked up and saw her on the roof staring at the sunset. I sigh and without telling Daniel anything, i climbed up and sat next to her
"Hey." i whisper, she faces me and nods with no smile, no voice, no nothing.
"Talk to me please.." i beg and she slowly shakes her head
"Why?" i furrow my eyebrows with sad eyes
She places a finger on her lips signaling me to shut up and i do so.
She lays down and i copy her actions before closing my eyes and i heard her mumble something
"I don't deserve to live."
