Under the Stars

T.A. 2512

Greenwood

~"I don't dance, but here I am spinning you around in round in circles.

It ain't my style, but I don't care. I'll do anything with you anywhere.

Yes, you got me in the palm of your hand girl. Cause I don't dance." - I Don't Dance - Lee Brice.~

~~~
I watched everyone danceing and enjoy themselves, as I watched from the balcony. My back hunched over, my hands folded over the rail.
All the elves drinking, eating, being marry. All but one, one who was not there.
I heard footsteps from behind me.
"I'm sorry I could not dance." I said keeping my eyes outside.
"Don't apologize. But, you should not be on that leg." Legolas replied, leaning on the balcony like me.
"I'm not. Look, no weight on it." I said, turning to him. "You better straighten up, you will be killed, if your father sees you like that."
"Me? How about you?"
"Then I guess, we will die together." I said smiling.
Making Legolas smile as well.
"Why are you out here? You should be resting."
"I was never one to listen to rules, was I? - I also did not want to miss the festival." I said looking back at everyone dancing.
"Then why not just go sit down there?"
"I could not go down there even if I tried. Pulse if my father sees me, I'm dead."
"Well you did not quite dress for the occasion either."
"Legolas!" I said hitting his shoulder.
"You brought it on yourself." He defensed throwing his hands in the air. "Besides you look great, just not appropriate to die in."
"So I need to die in a beautiful, elegant, white, silk dress?"
"-Yes. With the expectation of a dramatic death."
I rolled my eyes.
"Why, are you up here?" I asked looking back down, trying to change the subject. Legolas followed, my gaze. "Why not down there, dancing, enjoying yourself?"
"Its not the same." He said looking back at me. "Without someone you care about, to enjoy it."
I smiled, now looking at the floor.
"That's sweet Legolas, but I should not be the only thing that causes you happiness."
His eyes widen.
"No, I didn't imply- I mean- you know - you know what its like. You understand me."
I looked up at the stars, trying to find the right words to say next.
"That is half true."
The musicians started playing a slow song.
"Come on." He said straitening up, walking behind me.
"What are you doing?" I asked, turning around.
Using my hands to take the pressure off my leg.
"Waiting for a dance, with you."
"I thought you did not dance?"
Legolas shrugged.
"I can make an exception."
I smiled. What a good memory.
"I thought I was suppose to stay off my leg?"
"You're not going to be on it."
"Do explain."
"Gladly." He said, stepping forward. "Put your good foot on mine."
I raised my brow. We may be light on our feet, but that does not mean we are light in weight.
"Come on I'll help you." He said, taking my hand, and wrapping his arm around my waist.
He lifted me up just enough to get my foot on top of his. All my weight on his one foot.
"Now?"
"We dance."
I was surprised when Legolas was able to lift his foot up, to dance to the song.
"You are impressed?"
"Yes. I did not think, you had the strength."
"Well, we all have gotten a little older, wiser, stronger."
"Some, more than others."
"Well, not everyone has been through, what we have been through."
"No one, should have to go through, what we went through."
"Let's not think about it, now." Legolas insisted, as we continued to dance.
3 POV
"I wish Lìvia could be here for this." Arwen stated.
"Have you not seen her?" Elladan asked.
"She's up there watching from the balcony." Elrohir finished.
"If father sees her, she's dead." Arwen continued.
"So is the 'Ellon' she is with." Elladan whispered, just over the music.
"Does this certain 'Ellon', have blonde hair, and blue eyes?" She asked, knowing the answer.
"Might so." They replied.
"They're both dead."
"Oh, appositely." They finished.
~~~

Lìvias' POV

My head rested on Legolas' chest as we continued to dance. For like the third song. My eyes started to droop, and Legolas noticed.

"You need sleep."

"Thank you for pointing out the obvious, Legolas." I mumbled.

"Always a pleasure." He replied still dancing.

I smiled.

"Come on. I 'll take you to your room."

~~~
"Thank you, 'Mellon.' See you later."
"See you later, 'Mellon.'" He said, closing the door.
