I put my empty glass cup to the side and got up to stretch. The 'head-in-hands' position had become too familiar for me in recent times and I was hoping that after tonight, it would be a foreign situation. This needed to come off my chest; I didnt have an agreement with time so it could pause for me so I had to be fast. I don't know how she'll take it, i don't know what she'll say and I really don't know what I'm going to do.
Another thing is, it seems like I'm not the only one will revelations; Cammy and Kaylah have been acting.. a little strange. I didn't think much of it before because I was thinking about telling cammy but thinking now? It really seems like somethings up. I mean, why would Cammy go out of the shop crying and why did I get the feeling that Kaylahs flirty moves weren't all that innocent.
I sighed.
And why did I feel like the world was crashing on my shoulders and theres nothing I can do about it?
I noticed sometimes Dev was acting weird too. Like I would look uo and he'd be daydreaming staring at me. Or he'd be on the phone the hang up when i come in.
Thank God my older cousin was arriving soon. Hopefully in the next couple of days? I don'tknow but i'd be glad when it happens coz i really need someone to talk to right now. And Temi...

I got out the garms I was planning to wear tonight and laid them on my bed alongside Devontae's. We were going inn. I looked at my Fresh Prince clock that read: 5:45. The shubszzstarted at 7pm and we were taking D's older's ride so it was cool. Call me weird but I ALWAYS eat before going to shubsz, raves, hall parties; It was just a part of me.
"Temi, I beg you make me sumthing to eat" I asked sitting on the sofa and changing the channel.
"Erm first of all, I was watching Jerseylicious and second there's jollof rice on the cooker"
"Ahh I LOVE you child" I exclaimed hugging her.

I withdrew and screwed. " I swear you want me to be a nice brother and then I come to hug you and your telling me leave you alone. Kmt watch next time if I even say hello when I see you." Her face went puppy-dog and sad. I laughed "Aite, I'll talk to you. Stop tryna look cute."
The way her face went straight boy. Ahh. I went into the kitchen and got a spoon. I opened the pot and jheeze, the smell was saying alot.
" Allow eating from the pot like this is zulu warrior times. My man thinks his name's Kunta Kinte or some shit"
"Dev come taste this food and see if you even wanna pause to get a plate" He laughed and did as I said. " Ahh rassclart. Likkle yout Mimi did this yeah? Woi!"
We finished eating and went upstairs to get dressed. I wore an exclusive blue and black Raplh Lauren polo with black combats and blue and black air force ones my little sister picked out when she went Las Vegas.
Dev wore something similar but in red. We were looking on point, on SMASH. I was far from arrogant but i knew when I looked swaggeriffic; These were one of those moments. Alot of people seemed to get that confused, but I knew i wasn't big headed- though I had many reasons to be ;)
Downstairs, Temi-or Mimi as most otheres called her- was sitting still watching Jerseylicious when I said "Alie us man look on point?" She looked us up and down with a raised eyebrow and smug expression before replying " Ori e tobi ju"
"Argh, I am NOT big headed! You can't lie. On a level though"
"Yeah yeah you look good"
"Good?"
"Nice."
"Nice?"

I gave a cheeky smile after a few seconds and walked out with Dev.
"Aite my cuz is waiting on main road" Devontae said, getting off the phone.
"Cool, Imma phone Cammy nd make sure she's on her way"

"Why?" He looked uneasy
"Girls innit. Take long to get ready. They aint gonna be ready by now"
"Hmm," I placed my phone in its position in my pocket.
There was a on and awkward silence. That usually never happened between us two. He turned to me.
"Ay Jay, see how we said we're fam and we can tell each other anything? Er I need to tell you about Ca-"
"You lot, I'm here"
Devontae;
My f*cking days; it seems like everytime I try to tell this guy about what happened between me and Cammy, theres an interruption. Ah well. He has other things on his mind anyway.
We approached the blacked out SUV and got in the back seats.
"Cool Shamar?"
"Yeah gee; Whaa you lot saying?"
"Nuhten bredrin this shubsz is gna be live though. I'm hearing bare bait heads from other ends will be there."
"Yeahh; Ayy young buck wa'am fi yu? Wifey ah give yu problem?"
"Suhten like dat. We'll see tonight" Jeramiah replied.
I hope not I thought. I don't really know why Cammy tried it with me. She musta been pissed at Jay for sum reason but I dnt know. To be honest, I was high when we beat so I didn't really know what I was doing. All I knew was FREE YARD, FREE PUM.
As for Kaylah, she seemed to know alot. In fact, the way she's been acting, you would think she knew. Maybe she does, maybe she knows what Jeramiah wants to tell Cammy and she told Cammy and maybe that's why Cammy ran out of the shop in tears earlier. Shit.
I stared outside and the sunset and wondered about what was gonna happen this evening. I must have been so consumed in my thoughts because, before I knew it, Shamar parked the car.
I looked up to the sky in search of God's sign.
A crow flew by.
Cammy;

Those were the words. The 9 excruciating words I heard that started all of this. I had to continually remind myself of those words no matter how much it hurt. I had to do it otherwise I would soon forget the ulterior motive of my plan.
I followed closely as Kaylah entered her house and quietly shut the door behind me. We crept silently to her room not daring to wake her uncle who was notorious for asking 21 questions. We were getting a lift but she wouldn't tell me who by. Well, it wasn't necessarily important so oh well. A lift is a lift. As long as I didn't have to trek anywhere in my 6" platforms, I was good.
It was 6:15. Enough time to freshen up, slip into our BOOM dresses and put on make up. Makeup. I never really was a fan of it but Kaylah thinks its a good idea so why not. It wont kill.
I didnt really want to over do my look so I went with silver jewellery as opposed to Kaylah's gold. So there we were;
Me: A ravishing sapphire satin bandage dress with silver jewellery and grey/sliver platforms.
Kaylah; A gorgeous emerald green bandage dress. Shorter than mine with a flower on the shoulder. Gold jewellery and black suede ankle boots.
We looked in the mirror.
"WOW we look SEXXYYYY."
"Alie. Now you can show that Jeramiah prick what he's been missing while he was with that foolish chick on the side." Kaylah commented. Her phone vibrated from her black suede clutch. She signalled to me to follow her. "He's here"
We got into a blue Lexus and I couldn't make out the face of the driver. I looked closely and a slight wave of shock flew past.
"Joshua." I said without thinking.
"Yeah babes" Fully aware now, I cleared my throat and blinked a couple of times. I sat back.
" Oh. Hi. Erm I never knew it was you"
"What coz I'm driving? It's my dads car innit."
"Your dads? Are you allowed?"
"Yes princess" He said turning around. " Not all of us go around doing things we shouldn't be doing do we?"he looked at me with an accusatory expression and I sank inti my chair in shame. Suddenly, a thought came to me.
I gasped "Uhhhh Joshua-"
"Alright, no orgasms int he car please" he said referring to the way I said his name. I blushed heavily. If I was white, I'd be as red as a coke can. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Kaylah give an unimpressed laugh.
"NO! I meant Joshua. You're not gonna tell anyone about us right?"
"Of course he won't" Kaylah entered. "Not now anyway but I'm sure we can fit it some where in the 'plan.'" she said. I looked at her unsure. "Don't worry Cams, it'll all work out in the end" her expressions softened into a reassuring smile.
"Err, Cammy that's the ring Jeramiah gave you innit?" she gestured towards the silver ring on my right ring finger.
"Yeah, why?"
"Take it off! Show him you're serious." i thought about it. No matter what problems Jeramiah and I had in the past we ALWAYS had our matching rings on display. Hmm. I took it off and gave it to her. She smiled, pleased.
"Will Jeramiah and Devontae be there by the time we arrive?" I asked, desperate for a subject change.
"Hopefully; you'd want them to see us walk in and be stunned by our beauty" she dramatised the last part and i laughed.
"Oh, you nutter. On a level though, I really hope tonight goes well"
"I got a feeling..... That tonight's gonna be a good night.." I joined in.
"Alright hos get out of my car we're here."
SLAP!
"Easy bruv. It was a joke."
"Yeah, so's your head shape."
"I never heard you complain last week" he winked. Wow I shut up quick. Kaylah and I got out of the car because Joshua had to make an 'important call'.
*20 minutes later
I'd successfully got lost in the crowd, whining on whoever and putting my drink up.This was too live. All my tunes were playing and my nights in my bedroom practicing my whine were showing boy.
Take You Down came on and everyone went maddd. My mind trailed to Jeramiah; he had once said that would be our wedding song..
Realising at my next interval that my drink was no longer, I went to the kitchen in search of a refill. I bumped into a couple of old friends and said my 'hello's.
So far, this night was better than I expected. but where was Jeramiah? And Kaylah seemed to have disappeared. I hadn't heard from Devontae either. Hmm.
*Hours later
Kaylah;
I tapped her on the shoulder.
Loud enough for her to hear but low enough to make sure it was only her that heard, I said "Go to the back room, Jeramiah is waiting for you. He wants to tell you something. Go now!"
She did as I said. I smiled. This was too easy. One down and one to go and then its go time.
Cammy;
I put my drink down and did as she said. I paced myself for what was about to go down and silently prayed that all would go well. I approached the door. In the darkness, I found the door knob.
Jeramiah;
She entered and the darkness made it so that I just about saw her silhouette. Maybe the fact that I couldn't see her face would make this easier.
"Listen, I love you-" I began, but i was cut off by the door opening for the second time,

In the darkest of darkness, the door opens. Two silhouettes are seen entering and two are seen sitting on the bed.
A cold wind blows displacing the curtains and allowing the vampire-esq full moonlight to shine through the crack and reveal the faces of the silhouettes.
