[Joey's POV]
We had all been talking for nearly an hour now, mostly about what happened with Sawyer. I never asked how he was. I honestly didn't care about him. Doctors had been in and out asking me questions which were annoying as hell.
Doctor: Joey, I recommend you eat at least 3 meals a day for about a month...it will help you get your strength back up.
Joey: Can I still go to a gym and work out?
Doctor: Yes, but don't push yourself to your limit unless you want to end up here again. Oh and try to go to bed before 1am at least!
Now my entire routine is messed up. Yay.
The doctor then left.
Joey: So.... Sawyer?
Ingrid: Must be gay...
Cat: You know what! Him and Tyler would be great together!
Luke: Imagine those two together as a couple!
Joey: They better not steal me and Shane's thunder!
Shane: Nobody can steal our thunder even if Kim Kardashian and Miley Cyrus hooked up!
It had gotten late and we had been talking for ages!
Joey: Do the rest of you guys want to go home?
Luke: Are you sure?
Joey: Yes of course! Just go...get some real sleep!
Luke: I'll come back tomorrow to see you!
Ingrid: Me too!
Cat: Me three!
Joey: See you tomorrow, bye!
I barely waved at Cat,Luke and Ingrid as I was too weak to lift my arm up off the bed. Shane and Nicole were staying with me tonight. I was exhausted and my jaw hurt alot from talking to everyone.
Joey: Well I'm tired!
Shane: You should sleep now, the doctor did say sleep before 1am....and it's now 12:42.
Joey: Alright...but one condition.
Shane: What?
I didn't want to say this is front of Nicole, who was prepping the small couch to sleep on.
Joey: Will you...sleep here beside me?
I could feel my face burning up...I hope Nicole thought this was ok...
Shane: Sure!
Nicole: Awww.
Shane grabbed onto the bed and pulled himself on, I squeezed over to the edge of the bed to let him get comfortable. He lay back and put his arm under my back then resting his hand on my stomach, I then cuddled up to him, placed my hand on his chest and snuggled my face up to his neck.
Joey: Night Nicole!
Nicole: Goodnight Joey!
[Shane's POV]
"Goodnight Shaney" Joey whispered so Nicole couldn't hear. Shaney? What? Is that his pet name for me?
Shane: Goodnight...Joe!
Joey: Joe!? That makes me sound old!
Shane: Then how about....Joey?
Joey: I like it!
I kissed Joey on the forehead then we fell asleep.
*Next Morning*
[Joey's POV]
I woke up still feeling very tired, probably from all the medication. I had turned in my sleep, I twisted my body to face Shane. He wasn't there! Nicole was still sleeping on the small couch. I started to feel as if I was having a panic attack! Where the freak did he go?
I tried to stand up from the bed for the first time since I collapsed. I had my bare feet touching the floor trying to build up the momentum to push myself to stand. I had my back facing the door until I heard a voice.
Shane: Where are you going in such a hurry?
Joey: Shane! Where did you go?
Shane: I had to make a few calls.
Shane came towards me and lifted me off like a bride. He took me out of my room and sat me in a wheelchair that was just outside the room. Did he put that there?
Joey: Where are you taking me?
Shane: You'll see.
Now I was getting anxious to just get up and run in the direction he was pushing me!
Joey: C'mon Shane! Hurry!
Shane: Almost there.
Shane stopped at a door.
Joey: Here?
Shane: A huh. Open it.
I reached over and pulled down the door handle.
[Shane's POV]
Joey opened the door and I pushed him into the room. His face was in total shock.
Joey: W-what's this?
[Joey's POV]
We were in a small room, there was a table covered with a table cloth. 2 chairs, candles and the table was set out with cutlery and glasses.
Shane: This? This is for you.
Joey: Really! Why?!
Shane: Because I...love you...
I tried standing up again, Shane had already given me all the momentum to push myself to get up. I was on my feet and slowly limped over to Shane. I pecked his lips.
Joey: Ohhh! You know I love you too!
Shane pulled out one of the chairs for me and told me to sit. I sat down and he went to the other side of the table and shut the door.
Joey: So what are we doing?
Shane: One second...waiter?
To my surprise, Luke walked into the little room, he was wearing a white shirt, with a vest over it. He had a bow tie and an apron on! I busted out laughing, barely being able to breathe! He was carrying two plates, then sat one if front of me then the other in front of Shane.
Joey: Thaaaank you Luke!
Luke did a little cocky bow and then left the room.
Joey: Props to you getting Luke to dress like that!
Shane: He wanted to do it!
Joey: Seriously! Luke wanted to dress up fancy?!
Shane: He's a great friend!
Shane and I ate the food Luke had given us.
Shane: The doctor came around a little earlier to tell us some exciting news...but you were sleeping...
Joey: What's the news?!
Shane: You can leave today, but you have to do what they tell you!
[Shane's POV]
Joey tried to jump up off his seat in excitement but ended up getting on his feet for a second then falling right back down.
Joey: Oops.
Shane: Not quite use to the hole, standing up thing again huh?
Joey: Not quite yet.
We finished eating and sat for a couple minutes.
Shane: There's still one surprise.
Joey: What?!
Shane came and lifted me off the seat and onto the wheelchair. He opened the door to the room and pushed me out. We were walking back in the direction of my room. ]
Joey: It's in my room?
Shane: Maybe.
Shane stopped pushing me when we got to the room door.
Shane: Close your eyes.
I covered my eyes with my hand then felt Shane push me back in.
Crowd of People: SURPRISE!
[Shane's POV]
Joey's eyes widened! He never saw this coming!
[Joey's POV]
When I got into the room I heard a bunch of people scream surprise at me! Lot's of people were crowded in one little hospital room. I could see, Nicole,Luke,Ingrid,Cat,Whitney,Tyler,Meghan, Jimmy, Justine and more!
Joey: Oh my god! What is this for!
Shane: For you....

I've had this chapter written for a few hours. I've wrote a little of the next chapter and that should be up within the hours also! I love getting to update on weekends!
