alison pov
i took the kids to the slamball stadium the next day and it was just us and emily.
emily jumped up on the trampoline and dunked it in with one hand.
"yeah! whoo!" i cheered and clapped my hands.
"woah. mommy can fly!" tori said.
"yes she can." i said and smiled.
emily chuckled.
"oh i can't tell you how happy it makes me to see you playing again." i said honestly and smiled.
elijah and tori jumped around and i walked over to emily.
"thanks baby." she said and kissed me.
"alright well some people are late for school!" i said and smiled.
"noooo." the twins whined.
emily and i both laughed and she said, "alright i'll see you." she said and pecked my lips. "bye you. let's go."
"bye mommy!" tori said and hugged emily.
"bye princess. bye buddy." she said and high fived elijah.
i smiled and blew emily a kiss and left.
elijah pov
it was recess and i saw my sister crying.
"stupid girl. give me that." tyler moore took her doll and threw it.
"where's your two mommies huh? you don't even have a dad. nobody loves you." he sneered.
justin walked up.
"he's bullying her!" he yelled.
i balled up my fists and ran over, "Stay away from my sister!" i said and tackled him to the ground.
"get off me freak!" he shouted.
he stood up, "if it isn't that mama's boys. my mom told me that it's weird for two girls to like eachother. but you don't have dads. your moms are stupid. and so is that shirt." he said to me.
"my mama made me this shirt."
"well your mom's...stupid." he hissed.
i grunted and tackled him again.
justin helped me as we all wrestled.
"BOYS! BOYS!" a teacher ran over and grabbed us.

that night
emily pov
alison and i walked into our den and walked over to elijah who was playing the xbox.
"hey buddy...your mother and i would like to talk to you for a second. think you could pause that game?" i said as we sat down.
"not if i'm in trouble." he said, glancing at me.
"you're not in trouble." i said.
"your teacher called and said you got in a fight at school today. what's that about bud?" i asked, nudging him.
"a kid was bullying victoria at school today and i didn't like it. justin helped too. tyler called her stupid and took her doll. and then he was picking on me." elijah pouted.
i nodded, "well sounds like that kid is stupid. he should know not to cross a fields." i said and chuckled.
"emily." alison scolded.
"listen sweetie. we understand you were protecting your sister but violence is not the answer okay? spencer and aria are talking to justin as well about this." alison said.
i shrugged, "well yeah. but if someone is harassing your sister you protect her no matter what the cost is." i said and smiled.
"what if he keeps picking on me?" elijah asked.
i frowned, "oh well. i can teach you how to deal with bullies."
"and what your mother means by that is if someone's picking on you...you should just walk away. right honey?" alison said and smiled.
elijah looked at me and i knitted my eyebrows, "uh. yeah right. she's right."
elijah sighed, "but i wanna be tough like mommy."
"well hey. you can learn to walk away." i said unsurely.
alison nodded but i winked at elijah, "later." i whispered.
"emily." i looked at alison, "What?"
"really?"
"thanks mommy." he said and put the controller down, running upstairs.
alison smacked my arm, "no help from you. i get no help." she said.
i laughed, "oh relax. babe he was protecting her. isn't that what we want from them? and it was self-defense. he is a boy. he needs to learn to be strong and not shy away." i said.
alison sighed, "he can't be picking fights during school emily."
"i never said that al. i said if he has to fight back then...he will. that's all. and he was protecting our victoria." i said.
"whatever." alison said and walked upstairs.
i laughed, "i love you!"
she winked at me from the staircase, "love you too."
i smiled and followed her up.
spencer pov
"now why were you fighting?" aria asked justin.
he shrugged, "i didn't like seeing him hurt victoria."
i looked at aria and she laughed, "oh this should be fun growing up." she said.
"justin...it's fine you were helping her. but please. no more fights." i said.
"i'm sorry." he apologized.
i smiled, "that's okay buddy. why don't you go practice your drums for a little bit and let mama and i talk?" i said.
"okay!" he jumped up and we watched our 7 year old sprint to the garage where we keep space for his drum set.
god he loves that thing.
him and elijah mess around all the time with it.
they are both talented definitely.
they are like double trouble those two.
they're going to be hits in high school i can feel it.
"he's so cute." aria said.
"i know. we're so lucky we have him. he has a heart of gold." i said and smiled.
"with the right parenting he will stay true to himself." aria said.
i nodded, "of course. with a mom like you? how could he not be perfect." i said.
"or a mom like you. plus if he ever did drugs you could threaten to arrest him." aria said.
i laughed, "god i hope that never happens."
aria snuggled her head into the crook of my neck and i smiled, rubbing her arm.
"did you hear about slamball?" aria said.
"ah yes. i heard all about it. let's just hope emily stays in one piece." i said and chuckled.
"i know. alison is telling me how worried she is for emily. she knows how excited she is to get back but slamball is rough. i looked up videos and it doesn't seem very healthy for her back."
"well if caleb has her back i'm sure she'll be fine." i said.
"speaking of...did caleb talk to hanna yet?" aria asked.
hanna pov
the doorbell rang.
"i got it!" i shouted.
i walked to the door and opened it, smiling.
i frowned and went to shut it, "wait! hanna please." caleb begged.
"what do you want caleb?"
"to apologize. please hanna. mona cheated on me. the baby was never mine so we divorced a while ago." he said.
i observed his features.
"she was pretending to love me to get to you hanna. i'm so sorry."
"caleb i love ce-"
"no i know. i'm not here to ruin that i promise." he said, cutting me off.
"may i please come in?" he asked.
i looked inside and sighed, "five minutes." i said and opened the door wider, allowing him entrance.
he walked in, "thank you."
we walked into the living room and i crossed my arms, "why are you here caleb."
"to apologize. i want to start over hanna. be friends. please. i apologized to everyone. i went to aria and spencer's a while ago and i talked to emily and cece. and alison before practice this morning. but the only forgiveness i really need is yours. i can't ever live with you hating me. i was a jerk. a complete jerk. i don't deserve to be the father of skylar or for your forgiveness." he said.
i was shocked.
this is the caleb i fell in love with.
i smiled, "you really mean that?"
"yes i do. i'm not here to break you and cece up. i swear. i am moving on. i want to finally get my life together and on track hanna." he said, and i could tell he was honest.
i hugged him, "thank you. i missed you." i whispered.
he hugged me back.
"i know skylar hates me and if you don't want me around her i get it trust me. but if i ever got another chance i promise i won't mess it up." he said.
i nodded, "i know...but just so you know. your name isn't on her birth certificate caleb. just mine." i admitted.
i could tell he was hurt but he chuckled, "that's okay. it's my fault. i should go though. got a slamball game tomorrow. you and cece should come. emily's first game." he said and smiled.
"maybe we will." i said and nodded.
"bye hanna."
"bye caleb."
he left and i closed the door.
"was that caleb?" cece asked.
"yeah. he apologized. he wants to be friends." i said and smiled.
cece smiled, "good. i talked to him too. want to go to bed?" she offered.
i smiled and nodded, "after you miss drake." she said, letting me up the stairs first.
i laughed and walked up to our room.
"night babe." she said and kissed me.
"night wife." i said and winked.
